Storyboard provides the tools you need to create professional boards/animatics for film, tv, web, etc. Using the custom built Canvas7 drawing engine, Storyboard is able to take advantage of Apple's Metal API to efficiently render drawings on the screen.
The process of storyboarding is extremely important in crafting visual stories. With the Storyboard app for the iPad, this part of the storytelling process can be taken on the go. Or, if you'd prefer, you can use Storyboard on a powerful desktop computer.
Data:
- Create new storyboards using the custom ".storyboarddoc" file format to quickly load and save your projects.
- Import and export your Storyboards as files that can be saved to the Files app.
- Export to MP4, PDF, and Image Sequence formats.
Canvas:
- Draw, erase, select, and transform.
- Import images from Files, Photo Library, Camera, or Pexels.
- Select colors using the HSL based color picker.
- Choose from a small set of brushes or create your own using brush dynamics.
- Use onion skin to see your previous storyboard panel.
Panels and Scenes:
- Split up your storyboard into different scenes for better organization.
- Each panel maintains its own set of layers on the canvas.
- Clear, duplicate, and delete panels by tapping on the currently selected panel.

Crashes and loss of progress
I'm working on a big project right now and the app crashes every few minutes. This would be fine if it autosaved the progress, but you have to manually save it which causes me to lose all the progress that I haven't saved before.
I can't even get one frame done because of this. Please add an autosave feature to this app. Then this would be the perfect (free) app to storyboard

Almost Great
Great app and ideas but there are some basic but very crucial feature missing.
1. Please add auto save feature so even if it crashes we don't lose our work. Should be that hard to do. You can even get rid of the save button; is unnecessary then.
2. Please add a way to copy-paste cut-paste for drawing items (nodes in your app) as well as frames (panels in your app). It would be great if you could add create duplicate from previous frame instead of blank frame which would be very very helpful.
3. In the list of tools, it would be great if we could add images, gifs or another movie.
4. Ability to set global default frame rate and not just let frame.
Hopefully the author is taking suggestions from the users. Looking forward to your next update with at least #1 and #2 features.

Saturation
The timing feature is very cool and it does it’s jobs nicely, however, pictures I import into the slides become very saturated over time for some reason which doesn’t work for highly colorful videos

Good app but a little odd
I'd say this is a great app for people looking to just draw, but its difficult to animate on due to the fact you cant change the duration of clips. Maybe make that possible and I would rate it a solid 5-stars!

Buggy
This app is very buggy,it will make the animatic then it won’t save and the app crashes occasionally when you leave the project and re enter other wise a great app but the bugs are very very annoying.

Needs Work
The app needs shortcuts for graphics tablet. I like to make small adjustments and mistakes are made often, so quick shortcuts such at command Z would be helpful.
I wasn't able to change the duration of each clip. The app looked awesome, it was just awkward to use.

Just got the app, Am disappointed because there is no tutorial or instructions. I cant even figure how to get a new page on the screen.

Should have read the reviews first
It was working pretty well when starting to design my storyboards, but at some point, some functionality was lost so I tried to save and restart the app. And of course it didn’t save properly. There goes a few hours of work...

Won’t save your work
Every time I try saving what I have been working on, it always says it’s having problems saving it. If I exit out and go back in, all my work is gone.
