Excellent web-based ground training!
I completed my PPL and am now working through Instrument with Cessna king schools. As far as the curriculum and training, 5 stars! However my beef is with the app itself. For the most part I am content with the way it is laid out and the simplicity of it. The only issue that I have had is also a very very frustrating one. While in the app and studying through the lessons the app crash without warning. I have tried it with several different iPads and all with the same result. The app will crash every couple of minutes and then work normal for a short time and back to crashing. PLEASE do some debugging and fix this! PLEASE!
Overall I give 5 stars. I definitely recommend Cessna King Schools training to everyone. Just make it to where the app doesn’t crash anymore.

Version 3 Doesn’t Work!
App worked fine on both of my iPads until yesterday when version 3 automatically updated. Please fix!!!

Kings school learning products are always great! My only issue is with the app itself. the test questions at times are rather small and the selection fields are too close together. This has caused me to accidentally select the wrong answer at times which marked me down in my classes when I had to submit the phase reports because it took more than once to answer a question correctly.

Good info, bad layout
This app is good for getting you the info you need. My ground school counts the questions at the end of each section towards your grade, your first answer is what counts,it doesn’t matter if you correct it or not. At least half of the questions I have “missed” so far are because the buttons are too close together and I hit the wrong one. In one selection answers, you don’t get to confirm before the app accepts it.

Glitchy/Does not function/Does not sync well
At times the course would not even open. When it does open it is often glitchy and does not sync well with my course progress online (through my web browser on a different device).
Example glitches found: half of the screen going black, difficulties with zoom/scrolling
I am very happy with the course work and the UI on the web browser version. I only dislike the companion app.

Needs UI resizing options.
In portrait the text is too small. In landscape it is good, but any text that is cut off is hidden with no way to scroll down to see it.
Basically this app feels like a beta from 2010, but I am paying $400 for the course so it is really disappointing to have these issues.

Some images are lower quality and unable to see details
There’s several images that aren’t great quality. There’s also some that aren’t zoomable which makes it difficult to make out certain items. So far the course material is good and I like how it’s setup.

Best way to do ground school. All information you need to know about your airplane. From basics to most advance information. And the best of all you can take your classes on the go. No excuses to study.

Needs improvement
Frequently crashes while just sitting on a screen doing nothing but reading the content. Downloading course content for offline use occasionally fails to complete after getting to 100% and gets in a funky state. Course quiz UX is occasionally confusing and doesn’t follow standard usages or UI controls.

These people that put the course together are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also passionate about aviation. They will make your learning experience very enjoyable and rewarding.
