You can hand me a book and ask me to read and comprehend what is written. I would not absorb what I read. You could dictate what was written. My results to explain what was told would not be as good. How ever. With the medium that the king schools have done is this. From someone that did not know any ground school to passing first time my PPL, To someone grasping the knowledge of FOI and AGI. I am almost ready to take both FAA written exams. It took me on a couple of course watching the same thing 3 or 4 times before the penny dropped. I can say this for there course…I KNOW the information. Not just understand it to pass…HUGE Difference. It makes me a better pilot….soon to be ..a better teacher.

Part of my aviation experience
I took the long route I’m getting my private pilot's license. And through the years Kings where always there. I’ve listened and watched the videos so much I feel like I should be inviting John and Martha to Thanksgiving dinner The only thing that got me through the ground portion was this program. They make it easy to understand. Now I have my son using King for his pilot adventure. It starts with King. I was so happy to finally meet them at sun and fun and get a picture with my family. Let me start by saying, this video series is very good,and is very informative, but let’s face the facts, the Q&A is very outdated, I took my A&P tests last week, the FAA updates the testing regularly, and although some of the information is there, much is missing, and the updates in the top right corner of the sections, didn’t come close to addressing the changes, and the Q&A after each video weren’t in sync very often, as in, trying to answer questions that weren’t covered in the video you just watched, but are in the video after, very annoying, and the flash card app was good but dated , it’s difficult to find an app that isn’t somewhat dated, but this one was far off, all in all , not worth the investment,

LEARNING SO MUCH EVERYDAY
Very easy to understand, all the information the King’s gives to you. You must dedicate yourself, find that precious time of your daily busy life in order to learn and retain all that info that has been giving to you. And as flight attendant for a major US airline any questions I might have I seek my pilot friends, ask them for that extra help and explanation, questions about certain homework's. Most of them were CFI’s prior to land as a commercial airline pilots, which is a plus. Once again, thank you Martha, John King & staff for the wonderful service.

The app actually works quite well and King videos are well known to be great aviation education tools. I used King videos for my instrument rating 27 years ago and have used them again in becoming current and working toward a commercial rating. I AM UPGRADING MY RATING TO 5 STARS AFTER DISCOVERING THAT THE OPTION OF PLAYBACK SPEEDS UP TO 2X NORMAL ARE NOW AVAILABLE. THIS WAS A SUGGESTION I MADE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE (PERHAPS OTHERS DID TOO). THIS IS A HUGE ADVANTAGE FOR REVIEWING THE COURSES RAPIDLY, ESPECIALLY FOR SECOND TIME VIEWING. THIS REALLY IS A GAMECHANGER FOR MAKING THE VIDEOS AN ONGOING LONG TERM RESOURCE. BIG THANK YOU TO KING SCHOOLS FOR INCORPORATING THIS FEATURE!

I’ve known about King Schools for 20 years, Martha and John King have been household names to me in the world of Aviation, especially for flight instruction as an aspiring pilot! I have several versions of flight simulators, but I didn’t know how valuable their A&P training materials would be! I recently learned about them, and I’m using their materials to prepare for my A&P exams!

Great idea, but still a bit buggy
I know it’s supposed to be aimed at iPad users, but I try to use it on my iPhone, albeit a BIG one. I kept getting questions wrong because I didn’t realize there were more answers hidden at the bottom of the screen! 🤦🏻♂️ There are a lot if things that just don’t fit right but don’t indicate there’s more data off screen. Some of these things have no reason to not fit correctly! They’re just hard coded to be big and not scale to fit. Oh well. Now I know, it’s just annoying, but not a deal breaker.

Great for me
I am a very busy person and have to study at all crazy times of the day and nite. The flexibility of kings courses have enabled me to get my private pilot certificate and now working on my instrument certification. If you live a crazy work schedule like me I highly recommend kings courses to get you where you need to be with a minimal amount of time to study and get a good grade both on the written and verbal exams. Great investment for me that has paid off more then you’ll ever know.....

I took their Private pilot course in the 80s on VHS tapes and I believe an accompanying book. Loved it. Decided to get my IFR rating with them also.
I’ve studied all my life with a book and highlighter, marking the important points for a quick and direct to the point review. The new course is all digital and just isn’t as efficient in my mind.
There is an app called the Companion that helps but some topics it will only ask one or two questions, hardly comprehensive.
Lastly this time Martha does most of the training and to her credit she does spew a lot of important points out but she often doesn’t dwell on them at all and moves on so fast it’s easily forgotten. John OTOH highlighted things often with a bit of humor and those points are more easily remembered.
Doubt I would do it again.
