RDWL,
Great Practice
These are like real game problems. You are not sure what type of advantage you might get in the situation that is presented. This gives you practice that you would get in crucial situations in a game.
stumpkicker,
Good App but needs some tweaks.
First let me say I am about 1/3 of the way thru this app. this app has improved my game from”wood pusher” to seeing tactical situations and I expect to continue to improve. I will definitely continue to buy more advanced apps as I improve. However; first of all it needs some text explaining the procedures, charts and numbers though after a week I began to figure it out. (Admittedly I’m a senior). Second, when doing combination practices it has several sections oftypes that weren’t covered in the theory section. So it is frustrating trying to figure out why a move is marked as wrong because it doesn’t match what the A.I. Is looking for. Still I would recommend this app for beginners and early intermediates looking to improve their game.
Davidec70,
Awesome Chess App!
Awesome situational assessments and feedback. A great way to improve your game quickly.

Beginner
A little hard to follow even after reading entire beginning section. There should be a brief demo of the interface and the steps required.
modrame1,
Great way to learn the game.
This app is helpful at what it’s supposed to do.
motoputz,
Just learning chess
Very helpful for myself as a beginner
El Baron Rojo,
Best learner for iOS but somewhat confusing to use
It has lots of chess knowledge and it shows refutations to errors. If you have not bought the PC version the price is reasonable. I really expected that after spending a large sum for the PC version the ios version would be free. I really detest inapp purchasing. I really consider it bait and switch.
Again though, I think the price is probably fair if more inapp does not get added in the future. Once you buy a full version enhancement should be free.

It would be a 5 star if documentation existed.

Avoid if you're a beginner
This app is crazy confusing, has no guide on how to use it, and it makes you dislike chess. I wish I never paid for it.

Beginner chess moves
Great practice for beginners
H.m.a.A,
Simply amazing
I love that it's so easy to go back and forth between variations , the detailed explanations and refutations of moves. This collection of puzzles and theory reads like a book. You do really feel you're going through a curriculum of tactics and what you should know in chess before moving to the next level (i.e. Are those 1700 elo problems good for my level or harder /easier ? )

I think this collection used to be called CT-Art . It had an UGLY interface called Peshka that required you to be constantly online to access a server of problems you own.

In fact there is another app by Chess King that is called CT-ART, with a different set of tactics. Quite a few other apps like one dedicated to the Sicilian or French .

A beautiful easy interface that just makes you want to read more and more.

Very , very highly recommended.
