Will you manage to save Christmas in Christmas Stories: Yulemen? Test yourself in solving engaging puzzles! Explore unusual mystery locations and learn all the secrets of the Yulemen and the Snow Queen. You have a great opportunity to learn what surprise the villain prepares for you.
Brothers Asdis and Yonas want to decorate the house for Christmas but notice that all the decorations are gone. They go to the store for new ones and see that there are almost no decorations in the town, although it’s Christmas eve. One of them notices a toy house in one of the shops that looks exactly like their house, grabs it and runs home. Yonas opens the door of this toy house. At this point, Hans Trapp appears and abducts Yonas. Asdis tries to catch up with Trapp but fails. Hans was being watched by one of the Yulemen, the mythic creatures of Christmas. He introduces himself to Asdis and tells her that Hans Trapp has kidnapped his brothers as well, and if they do not get together before Christmas (there are several hours before it), it will not happen, and none of them will be saved.

Might be great
I say it might be great because there’s a huge problem with purchasing. I bought it for 6.99 without a trial because that was my only option and I was really happy to see a good Christmas mystery. The issue is, the money left my iTunes account, but it’s still saying I need to purchase to get past the trial. I’ll try again once I’m able to get a refund from apple.

Great, but feels short
As usual, this Christmas Story game follows all the previous - much fun and nice winter scenery. This one however feels shorter than the previous ones although I don’t believe it is. I’d give it 6 strs if they would bring back the morphing objects - snagging the collectibles is always a fun part of the games.

I was sorry to see so many had a problem with paying twice, but this glitch must have been corrected. I just finished the game and had no problems with it. A wonderful Christmas game!

Attention players! The App Store is aware of the glitch and it might be an App Store glitch and NOT a developer issue. All you have to do is go to your receipt, select report a problem and request a refund for the second charge. Simple and easy. I was refunded very quickly! So truthfully we should NOT be basing our reviews on a glitch that might not be the developer’s fault!
On to the review. The storyline was a combination of elements from a Christmas Carol (Hans was basically Scrooge) and Icelandic legend about the Yulemen. In the bonus adventure you learned how Hans became such a miserable person. The game was lengthy. The graphics really could have been better, but they lacked saturation, as well as visual acuity. The map indicated collectibles, which consisted of postcards and puzzle pieces. The general gameplay was terrific, with many tasks to accomplish at each location. The player was provided with a Yuleman named Glu to assist in reaching objects in locations not able to be accessed by your character. Glu could also access portals to travel to Hans’s memories. There was a great variety of HO scenes, from word lists, to silhouettes, using one object to find another, and replacing objects in the scene, as well as some others. The mini-games were alright, but many were rotational, and I am sick and tired of those. I prefer logic-based games and not rotational. Give us some artsy ones, like paint by number, embroidery, etc. We also love dominos, mah jongg , and carnival-type games! Labyrinths and mazes are always welcome. These are suggestions that Elephant needs to take to heart. I’ve been doing this a very long time and I know what the players enjoy. Please remember I have about 10,000 followers, so please use a bit more innovation in these puzzles and games!
This was a good game, but in some ways it was lacking. I would have enjoyed the game more if it had magnificent graphics and more interesting mini-games. My final rating will remain at 4 stars.

There is no way to download the game without paying for it first so I did only to find out that it still wants you to pay a SECOND time to unlock the game! When I try to restore purchase it shows no purchase under this account. I hope this gets fixed soon.

I paid for this game when It was in the App Store then downloaded it and had to pay again. Not very happy.

Can’t get horseshoe handle
I cannot get past the board game. The hint points to the game’s upper left corner but nothing is there. I’m supposed to get the horseshoe handle in order to get the horseshoe. I cannot continue the game. Frustrating because I just paid full price for it. Any suggestions?

Tries to charge twice!
I paid for this app thinking I’d purchased a full game version, but after a bit of playing it asked me to pay an additional $6.99 to unlock! I checked my purchase history and I was indeed charged for the game! What gives!?

Paid full price because I was excited for a Christmas game, gets so far like a free trial and promotes you to buy the full version, again. Disappointing for this app developer
