Awful excuse for an “app”
Started using fandango app but then thought “maybe I’ll try using Cinema West app directly”. Unfortunately I found no value in it. It’s awful, janky, unstable…a poorly implemented port to simply make their website show up as an “app”. Ironically, it’s poorly optimized for mobile. Pages crashed, after finally being able to select seats I got stuck in a loop after entering my CC number, couldn’t go back, then it crashed and lost my seats. Went back to Fandango, instantly selected my same seats, hit Apple Pay, done - in 30 seconds. Love your cinemas, Cinema West, but please put in a good college try to create a “real” app with real value and UX. 🫡

Subpar App
Only for booking tickets. That’s as useful as it gets and it can’t even do that properly. Half the time, I have to go to the physical theater to buy the tickets instead. You can’t view your rewards balance. But you can put in your rewards card. What is the point of having it in the app if we have to physically go to the theater just to check the balance.

Can you update the app so it shows us what credits we have on our rewards card because right now we can’t see what is on our rewards card but everything else about the app works just fine for me

Essentially a web browser for a specific website. Better off using your preferred web browser.

Don’t book with app
The price per person is more expensive then at the theater and then there is an additional service fee. Price at theater 28 vs app 37. Not worth it to me.

It amazes me that an App this horrible is allowed to exist in the year 2022.

They don’t care about you
Example when a company does not care about users. Not only the app reeks of ugly UI… but it is so buggy and difficult to use that it almost kills the joy of going to the movies.
Where do I start? Let’s just name a few gripes:
1. It does not remember your info. You have to type your credit card, your name, your address… every single time!
2. Seat selection on large cinemas offers icon seats the size of just a few pixels across, it takes multiple taps to register.
3. The “Add to Calendar” button will simply crash the app. Useless
4. The entire “My Tickets” section is a joke, it will never remember any ticket you purchased… Forget about canceling a booking, getting refunds, etc.
5. There is no Apple Pay, no movie search, no sharing of showtimes.
This “app” is just the laziest effort in the industry.

Weak app. No better than using a browser
Not much more than looking up theaters, showtimes and buying tickets. Same as going through browser. No personalized features, account settings, viewing food and drink menus. Would be a huge improvement just to be able to have a personalized account so I could save CC info and purchase tickets quickly and easily. This app has a long way to go. I’ll keep it for now to see if there are any near term improvements, but if not, then uninstalling as I see no benefits to using a dedicated app.
