Simple and great. Info and learning is the hidden jewel.
I’m learning about Circadian rhythm and how to use the information to approach my day differently. The informing provided within the app is the real jewel. I’m learning a lot. **The Good** - The My Day tab is very straight forward. I love how easy it is to setup a notification from the details screen. - The Dashboard tab is clear and effective. - The Learn tab is absolutely full of great information. Awesome. **Ideas for Improvement** - An alternative view of the dashboard that displayed information in a linear fashion along with the peaks and dips. - Peaks and dips could be annotated in My Day. - Suggestions. For instance, it would be nice to say something like "Study for test" or "Nap" and have suggestions on when a good time to do that activity may be.
- I would love some Apple Watch visibility and complications.
**Next Level** - It would be nice to take some simple notes throughout the day and see a note icon on the dashboard repressing when that note was annotated. - A historical view would be nice that included any notes. - Sleep Debt. This would be 100% amazing. I realize it is a little out of scope, but for folks that track sleep debt, circadian rhythms are important.

Great accountability & teaching tool!
I’ve already started implementing some of the habits and lifestyle changes more in tune with a balanced circadian lifestyle. But this app helps keep me on track and accountable on days when I need reminders or suggestions on how to improve my habits such as eating to close to bedtime and reminding me to go watch the sunset. I already see an improvement in my energy and cognitive function. The app has subtle notifications like a bird tweeting to remind you of the next step in your day. You can adjust these to your preference and modify your schedule as you go. I highly recommend this app for anyone who cares about improving their health and wants to make it as simple as possible. I’m still on the free trial so may have missed this but 1 suggestion I’d make is to add a grounding feature in the routine options and for those who love to check things off their lists, add the option to check things off daily once completed. Overall, super impressed! Thanks!

My second most used app!
The creator announced this app just when I was at my wits’ end with trying to gather accurate and comprehensive information on my many circadian lifestyle questions. The articles I generally found online were either extremely superficial or scientifically way over my head. This app’s “Learn“ section alone is worth the price of the annual subscription to me. I am relying on the reminders “Circadian” sends me throughout the day to help me establish the habits I was confused about before, and a satisfying answer to the question “why?“ is always a click away. It is taking the burden of a lot of confusing research off my shoulders so I can focus on my priorities. The app creator welcomes feedback and at this stage is available to answer questions directly. (My most used app is my iPhone “Notes.” Then comes “Circadian.”)

AMAZING App
This app should come pre-installed on everyone’s phone. I am blown away by the features. The location based sun rhythm throughout the year for notifications and alarms is outstanding in and of itself, but where this app really shines is the information base about every aspect of the human circadian rhythm. This is vital and unique and really sets it apart from the competition. The major impact of sunlight and sleep/wake times on human health and development used to be esoteric information that is now gaining a lot of public attention thanks to people like Andrew Huberman. There is, however, still room for improvement. My biggest suggestion at the moment would be to make the “Alarm” feature an actual alarm. Right now it appears to be more of a glorified notification that lasts only 10 seconds and is not very reliable. I’ve been having to use a backup alarm with it every morning. Until then, four stars.

Surprised by how well thought-out this app really is!
Usually when I see an app that only has a few handfuls of reviews, I don’t expect the app to have been around long enough to reflect much development. However that’s not the case here!

I am very pleasantly surprised to see how well the app uses notifications based around the actual sunrise and sunset in my location. I was also happy to see I could offset those notifications to a degree. (i.e. being notified 30 minutes before the close of my dinner/sunset window so that I can be sure I’ve eaten, being notified 10 minutes before sunrise so I can make sure that I go out and see it, etc.). Well done!

Also worth mentioning is the excellent amount of educational information about the value of living a Circadian lifestyle. When apps advertise that they have a lot of educational information within its contents, I usually don’t expect too much, Plus I’m typically just interested in the functionality of the app. However, the way this app presents tidbits of facts as you use the app, makes it really easy to read/learn without it being cumbersome.

In summary, excellent functionality, beautiful layout, and truly educational!

Really helping improve my hormones
I wanted to make a lot of these lifestyle changes, such as sleep wake cycles based on the sun, eating routines, exercise, getting daily sunlight, and improving the process of falling asleep. I had a hard time sticking to them because new habits are easy to forget. But the app really helps me with the reminders, and it takes the guess work out of when to do each action. I am noticing a REALLY huge difference with my hormones, and specifically with my monthly cycle. I’ve been eating a pro-metabolic diet and following the app’s suggestions and I’ve had no pms symptoms, very little fatigue, and no cramping. I’ve had AWFUL cycles for years. This is a huge deal to be healing and feeling so much better in such a short amount of time.

My favorite app EVER
I’m always optimizing my health and fitness, looking for tools and programs to make it easier to reach my lofty goals, and Circadian is by far one of the best tools I’ve found!

I love the fact that Circadian tells you what you need to do to optimize your circadian biology, AND reminds you when you need to take those actions (such as going outside at sunrise, at Solar Noon, and when there’s UVA but no UVB. And, it gives you the scientific evidence behind their recommendations which gives you a big WHY to favor a biological schedule over a domesticated schedule. References are given in-line, so you can fact check just about every sentence in the learning section. I love the fact that you can customize the reminders which are really useful since they change through the year.

I can definitely say that my health is better, with better sleep, energy levels, more effective workouts and faster recovery, and so on!

I would love to see this team develop another app that supports healthy habits that go beyond circadian biology. They have developed a great model for a health app!

Quite the promise for a hefty price
I can’t in good faith pay $60 for a set of alarms. I think the interface is sleek and all around looks very nice. How accurate some of the claims the app makes I can’t vouch for. I would have liked to read some of the information and sources, however its locked behind a subscription or the one time payment of $60. The app claims that if i subscribe I’ll lose weight and live longer(among other things). Which I believe to be quite the stretch. I understand that if i follow everything the app preaches and during the appropriate time it could help improve the quality of my life. However, where the app stands now and what it offers, I cannot recommend it to anyone. When all phones come with programmable alarms that could be used in a similar fashion. I wish the developers luck and hope they can innovate.

Please I BEG you!!
Please please please create the sounds, at least alarms to slowly get louder. Every morning the sunrise ones go off and scare the crud out of me as they are instantly loud. I beg you to fix this lol. Supposed to be waking up refreshed and feeling good, not with my heart beating out of my body.

Other than that, I do love the alarm. I’ve been trying to go outside every time it suggests to get fresh air, deep breathe and gratitude while out there, block artificial lights with blue light blockers, stop eating at certain time, exercise twice a day, fast over night, etc. I have felt better. Also noticed something strange - everyone in our house got sick EXCEPT me. Now maybe I had that virus before, no clue but it was nice. Lol.

Any ways, great app - excellent with ascending alarms.

Simple app, much needed functionality
This app is exactly what I was looking for, and it took me a couple tries to find it. After learning a bit about the research behind it, I wanted to start syncing parts of my day with the solar cycle. Now that I’ve found this app I’m happy that I can sync not only my sleep and wake time but food and exercise and more, which has led me to being happier and more productive with more energy.

A feature request I have is the ability to add custom reminders. For example, if I wanted to remind myself to do a daily review 4 hours before sunset every day. Even if this feature is not added this app is fully functional and I appreciate using it.
