siounique,
Loving all the content
I bought a paint your own pottery studio, I came with over 800 molds to pour things. A year later my husband lost his job and we moved back to a small town. This is also a agricultural area, people don’t have the spare time or money, so the shop did not do well here. Eventually I retired pulled the studio out of storage and set it up in my two car garage. I decided since I had all the resources I would just made stuff and sell it. I have a small table top wheel, slab clay roller, 2 kilns, tons of pant and brushes. What I lacked was knowledge of hand building and using the wheel. I assumed that because I am a fairly talented person I could just jump on and start producing sellable items. That was not the case, I have been using you tube and trying to learn how to do it all. I was pretty discouraged then I found you. I liked you spunky attitude and then I realized you immense knowledge. I am really enjoying the app, the variety and inspiration. I am sorry to say my studio has been unused because of health issues from Covid but I am so excited to get out there and start putting all I have learned from you in to use. Found you just days before ClayShare con and that was the motivation I needed to get back on track. I even got some forms to make plates. Thanks for doing what you do!
Chudderbon,
Covid lead to a marvelous discovery!!
What should have been a 1 week stay in Montana turned into 3 months in the early Spring of 2020. Having long, leisurely days with no usual obligations on my agenda I was able to turn my attention to my lifelong love of working in clay. How I found Clayshare can only be luck. After having spent over 40 years in and around a number of wonderful community studios and schools, I decided that being 100% a home studio potter was what I needed to do. Becoming acquainted with Jess and Kevin was a true blessing. Totally welcoming, approachable and supportive pair offer a safe place to land and grow your craft. All levels are partnering here. We all share and learn together. You can enjoy projects new and old, techniques familiar or challenging or learn a better way to approach what you thought you had perfected. I have learned so much, made new friends and become more comfortable in the clay crafter community . I have found new clay bodies I love, invested in more equipment ( with Clayshare guidance) found a fellow potter to share my kiln and , in general, am just a better , happier potter.
Emmy8513,
A favorite app for me.
Hi there. I have a lot of love and respect for you two. I’ve had medical issues starting about two years ago that got progressively worse leading me to be basically bed ridden over the last two months of what was an unknown cause at the time. After passing all tests at ER at least three times, I went back with husband demanding a brain scan. Thank God. There was a large brain tumor taking up the space in my right frontal lobe, actually pushed that part of the brain out of its location and caused a mid line shift. Two days later, Nov 1, 2021, I was in surgery and met the head of neurological department at Ochsner hospital. I was blessed that he was on my case and the tumor benign. Ive been totally unable to do pottery. Decision making ability was not accessible. But I felt good knowing I had you as my ace when I returned. You’re my fav. This is getting long. I don’t share this with anyone. Happy to be back on board. Much love and respect, Robbie Lynn.
JoninSLC,
Clayshare is wonderful!
Making pottery has been so healing after coping with some big unexpected life changes this past year. I have returned to pottery after taking a long break from it after graduating college 20 years ago. Jess and Clayshare team (Kevin) have really helped catch me up to speed on all the latest things in the pottery world since I left it so many years ago, including commercial glazes, underglaze transfers, texture options, pottery forms, kilns, wheels, etc. Not only have I learned so much from Clayshare, but as a bonus, I have fallen in love with hand building pottery. Still love throwing as well. Jess and Kevin are both generous-hearted people. Jess makes herself available to help you problem solve issues you may be having and answer your questions. Members ask questions I don’t even think to ask, which is incredibly helpful. I’m learning so much and loving the process. Thank you Clayshare!

ClayShare is fabulous!
Jessica is one of my main inspirations and influential artists in my growth in Pottery. I also love that she and Kevin are able to do this as a team. I learned so much from the videos. Keep up the wonderful content and the great collaboration with each other as well as other potters like Adam Field,Kevin Kowalski, and more! I really like being introduced to the companies like ClayScapes, Amaco, Mud Tools, and all the other companies that make potters lives so fun! I will forever be thankful for the Periscope platform and Potters of Periscope group for opening my world to beautiful art and continuing camaraderie amongst us all. I especially love seeing where all of our Potters’ of Periscope journeys continue moving forward today!! Thank you for creating ClayShare along your journey Jessica! It touches so many creatively, yes but on a deeper, more soulful level! Namaste! Janice McCravey J McClay Creations

Always there to answer questions!
Clayshare is a wonderful pottery site to learn both handbuilding and throwing. One of my favorite things about ClayShare is Jessica! She will show you how to make something either handbuilt or thrown and goes directly thru it all and then shows you how she glazes the item! Then in the next week or 2 you will see it coming out of the kiln. So many times watching others they show you how to make it,with NO helpful comments and you never see the item finished! I have never belonged to a group of people like those on ClayShare ,who will gladly answer all questions and be so friendly. Would highly recommend ClayShare with Jessica and can’t forget Kevin !! I would gladly recommend ClayShare to all my friends and Ihave! I really feel like I belong!
Schreyer Pottery,
ClayShare is a must have for Ceramic fans!
I have been a premium member of ClayShare for almost six years and I find that it just keeps getting better. I turn to ClayShare for inspiration and education. Jessica is brilliant at making sometimes complicated processes simple and repeatable. She is upbeat and funny. Jessica and Kevin, her husband are a dynamic team to make ClayShare constantly better. Jessica encourages the members to interact as a community and I am enjoying the family feeling. I love participating in the pottery exchanges put on by ClayShare family members! Also how members cheer each other on by giving tips and encouragement to each other. Looking forward to more workshops and classes. So worth every penny I have invested in my membership. Thank you ClayShare for being wonderful!!
MegannM,
A must-have for potters of any skill level
Finally! A fabulous pottery app full of amazing classes, tips and techniques! ClayShare was already a top notch website and now having an accompanying app... well I couldn’t be more thrilled! I love the ease of quickly finding a class I’m looking for or just browsing around to discover things I hadn’t seen yet. Being able to add classes to My List to save to watch later is a big one for me. So in love! Great UI means it’s extremely intuitive and easy to navigate, learn from and get excited about! Not to mention that Jess is a natural in front of the camera and makes learning new things super fun! Whether you are a beginner or an expert, there are things to learn and have fun with on this app! Total game changer!
Skpellwood,
Love the well made videos and the interactive clay experience
I learn so much from the well made instructional videos. Jessica has a way of explaining things to make everything seem easy. There are so many quality videos on every facet of clay that you learn a well rounded clay practice. Jessica does a live special project every week with an opportunity to ask questions. Along with the many videos, Clayshare also has a FB site where you can connect with other potters to ask questions and show your projects. Jessica and her team follow this page and answer questions when they find it appropriate. Clayshare is a must if you are interested in clay projects and want to connect with other potters.
Underwater editor,
From beginning to end
I have been doing clay for about 3 years now! WOW how time flew by! I started right before Covid and the 1st ClayShareCon. During the past few months I took a break because of some work I’m involved in. BUT when I stopped long enough to watch some videos again and my heart was once again delighted! Project planning began immediately and I made 2 earring stands the very next day. Next up - a Fairy House for my 2 year old Granddaughter and creating something I can do Peacock glazing on!! Oh yea! Best part is, I know I can complete these tasks with the help of Jess’ videos. Never would I have even attempted such a task before! Thank you ClayShare!
