Colonist is an exciting multiplayer game. You take on the role of a Colonist by building settlements and expanding your territory while competing with opponents trying to do the same. Colonist combines extremely simple rules with tremendously deep gameplay. Use strategy, planning, and cunning negotiation to win.
You can train against bots, play with friends online, and even compete in our ranked modes for a spot on the leaderboards! We also offer a variety of fun custom maps to play on in addition to traditional expansions which add elements like ships and barbarians to the game. You can even play with more than 4 friends with our 5-6 and 7-8 player expansions.

UX + Performance problems
The gameplay is ok overall, but the buttons are way too small and one may click on the wrong option when getting a trade offer.
Also, while playing with Bots at least, the app animations have now become dread slow and the phone keeps heating up and consuming a lot of battery when played. This needs to be addressed.

Obviously bad dice
This game could be really fun but instead it’s frustrating because the dice in this game are some of the worst programming I’ve ever seen. These are not random die. There is clearly a pattern and many people that I know have been noticing as well. It’s unfair when I’ve played multiple games in this app where one person gets all the 7s in the game or a 7 very predictably rolls immediately after you’ve placed your first settlement. Not talking about good game play with knights. I’m talking about a terrible game with really bad dice programming. You think random die rolls wouldn’t be too hard to make fair but their updates changing how people trade is just a poor mask for their real issue.

Great app
I’m happy this finally became an app. It was buggy at first but the developers have been updating it frequently. I have only had issues with a game starting and losing connection. Which has caused me to lose karma points. I think it’s better than all the actual Catan apps out there. This is sad because they have 4 different versions but they are all trash.

5/5 multiplayer 3/5 singleplayer
Great for playing for free with friends. Everything is simple and works just like the board game. However, it would be phenomenally improved with the changes where bots can be played against offline, with no timer, and you can leave and come back in the app. So for single player I’d say 2/5 or 3/5, but multiplayer is definitely 5/5

A couple bugs but great!
This game is really fun! I really appreciate all the work that went into it, I am writing a review mostly to point out a bug where it forces you to play in portrait mode and the map become incredibly small, it only has been this way since the recent update and would be nice if this were patched.

App was AMAZING before latest update
I love Catan and colonist is the BEST. I am only writing this review so the developers can see it and fix the latest update. I am no longer able to rotate my phone and play on my phone - the screen doesn’t re-adjust. Also, the app kicks you out of games now without warning and you have to re-join.
If I was able to rotate my phone and play horizontally aka full screen I would give this app a 5/5 star rating! Please fix and thank you for everything you do developers. Ore wheat sheep for life!!

Really good but connectivity is a huge issue
I really enjoy this app and it’s intuitive interface. The main issue is staying connected to matches. I’ll join a lobby and instantly get disconnected the moment everyone readys up. I’ll try to get back in multiple times and either the app with crash or not allow me into the match

Always Bugs
It has many bugs, and especially after an update the app is destroyed by new bugs. For example with the latest update the game can't be put in landscape mode, so it is very small and hard to play. There are 3 days already since the update rolled out and no fix has been implemented. Since it always comes with bugs after an update, can't give more than 1 star.

Great app
Not sure why it’s got such a low rating, I play on an iPhone against bots and it’s fantastic. Buttons are a little small but I blame my own choices for playing on such a small screen. Game is great for those looking to get their catan fix

Good game
Since the new update 1.1.2, when I get in the game map, the screen does not rotate, so everything is too small. Can u pleaee help me find out how to fix it? I turned off the screen rotate lock by the way.
