... but I feel that this game is worth my words. Normally, I just give a game my star rating and that’s it. But this little collection of puzzles has impressed me. Judging by the level select menu, I’m about halfway finished with the game. And, in that time, I have come across several puzzles (chief among them, the four hounds in the clock room) which gave me a very rewarding feeling when I finally solved them.
Plus, even though there is no dialogue, I feel that the short scenes between puzzles where the character is eavesdropping on or interacting with the various supporting cast are endearing. The art style is true to the videos and screenshots, and I think is very fitting for the dream-like atmosphere. The sound design is unobtrusive, which I appreciate. Also, there are these subtle musical cues as you progress closer to the solution for a puzzle, which I like.
Amanita Design have been really doing great things in the adventure/puzzle genre, and I’m glad they got the green light to publish this game on Apple Arcade. I hope, their creative team stays inspired, and their financial team stays well-supplied.
