COZYHOUR,
First text based RPG and loving it
*I don’t normally write reviews so apologies if this review seems scatterbrained*

I’m enjoying my time casually playing through this game. I’m definitely someone who likes seeing my characters stat go up and this game provides that for many many levels. The Dev seems pretty engaged and I’ve seen him in the in-game chat a few times. He has vowed to keep the game free of Pay-to-Win micro transactions by allowing players to purchase cosmetic subscriptions and buying boosts that benefit everyone playing at the time. I’d actually say I wish this game had cosmetics that I could purchase that stay on my account. To my knowledge, you lose your cosmetics when you cancel your subscription no matter the tier. I’d like to be able to hold onto those features you unlock but I understand people would do it once and stop.

The app itself is visually pleasing, as well. Even though I like the minimalistic style of the app, I would love some artwork for the enemies I’m fighting instead of the grey silhouette. Maybe some stylized artwork for the enemies would fit the design of the app. (The game “Valorant” agent artwork comes to mind). Anyways, this being my first text based game and having no experience in the genre, my opinion may no lend too much but I really enjoy the game as of now and look forward to whatever the Dev adds to it in the future.
TheDirtyMag,
Simply put, Great game
I don’t think I’ve ever left a review but when a dev reaches out to you personally and ask about a bug you mentioned in the chat then you gotta drop a review. Gameplay wise, it’s a really fun game where there’s a good balance of idle and in game things to do. It can be a bit overwhelming at first but there’s a really great tutorial tab that goes into great detail to explain a lot of core mechanics of the game, and if that doesn’t quite give you the info you need then the community is the next best thing. They are some of the coolest, most non-toxic people I’ve seen in a mobile game so far. I haven’t had a negative experience yet to say the least. Staying on the topic of community, there clan system or should I say gang is top notch really makes you feel part of a group and you really have to work together to stay a float. All in all really live the game and it isn’t a game that you have to spend a lot of time on to enjoy but you’ll end up finding yourself stuck in it after a few hours of play time. -Mag
SpydrMunky,
Giving it a chance
I see a lot of stellar reviews for this game, so I’m suppressing my initial impression of it. I can only give it 3 stars so far, because so far the game is extremely boring and I’m being told to grind up to level 8 before I go to a dungeon. My take on this: lame. Of course to any gamer the process of gaining loot and leveling up gear is somewhat interesting. But so far my interest in the game has not been extreme (to say the least) since so far my game consists only of (tap weapon button) (repeat) (repeat) (collect loot, or not get any loot)…. Repeat these steps with the next enemy, get a meager amount of xp and coins for each one, periodically go back to town to see what gear I can print (craft), and be brutally disappointed each time, groan, go back to the GRIND. My point is that if this game ever gets fun, you are wrong for making it not be fun before level 8, since you make it such a boring chore to get to level 8. I’m giving it a chance. But if I get to the dungeon and find that the rest of the game is like this? I’ll delete it and lower my review to one star. So far this game has been a dud that I can only take in small doses.

Update: Nah. Finally got to the first basic dungeon, and went through 3 rooms where literally every crate I opened had nothing inside it. One star. Deleted. I couldn’t justify spending one more minute on this game after such a slap in the face.
please fix Ping and Crashes,
Amazing everything honestly
The game has absolutely no way to pay to win. There are worldwide boosts you can active for paid currency, but nothing that can make a individual have a actual advantage over others. On that note though the worldwide boost effect is really unique, and it helps you really care for the community and the people whether buying or simply benefiting from the effects! Overall great ethical guideline and creativity

Gameplay isn’t exactly flashy, but the simple design paired with it’s accents have a great charm to them. There’s different ways to play as well, whether you focus on roughing it on a dungeon for your loot or just targeting enemies. Gameplay feels alive, you can really tell the developer is passionate about the game, and it never feels stagnant because new things are always coming and I don’t recall an instance where ive been forced to do one thing or the other, you’ll always have choices!

I mentioned the community earlier but it wasn’t enough i dont think! Overall i think everyone else can kinda feel the love in this game so (most) people are really chill and helpful, its a common occurrence for gifts to be given to random people from higher leveled players who can afford it, you’ll never have a question go unanswered, and to top it off, the lore and in game wiki are written by the players!

There’s probably a lot more i love that i missed here, but stellar game ive been at it nonstop
Eldaerin,
CyberGrind
I've been playing this for a couple of weeks now, and my experience so far has been that this game is all about the grind. Combat is extremely simple, and the lack of a hard cap on healing means that you can down any enemy that can't one-shot you -- it might just take some time. So the real challenge seems to be in figuring out how to optimize your gear and growth. There's enough to explore though that that process has kept me sufficiently entertained (at least to warrant 4 stars; I think I'd need a little more complexity/depth to get to 5, e.g. more distinct combat mechanics).

I also appreciate the subversion of pay-to-win: anything purchaseable with real money is either purely cosmetic, or a global buff that affects all players. So putting in real money will make your game go faster, but it also makes everyone else's game go faster, too. I've definitely reaped the benefit of a lot of other players' investments in the game, which is a nice touch that keeps the game feeling fair while also still making the microtransactions worthwhile.
Dagfella,
Great work!
This easily has the slickest interface of any text/browser MMO I’ve ever played. Everything is so streamlined and aesthetically appealing, any other game in the genre just looks clunky in comparison. I love the mix of idle and active progression options, the player shared bonuses, and the cooperative dungeons!

I will say that the weakest aspect of CyberCode is world-building and lore. It’s fairly generic cyberpunk and there isn’t much effort to explain why you are shooting a bunch of random dudes on the street or in dungeons. There are lore snippets occasionally, but they are random and don’t feel very consistent in quality. The dialogue has typos fairly often as well, which was initially a little off-putting for me. This in mind, it’s not hard to look past these small nitpicks because the gameplay itself is still very fun and addictive.

I’m looking forward to seeing where this game will go in the future!
dawnlitestar,
A Particular Genre and Crowd
Frankly? It’s a good solid game for those that don’t always have the time for those mobile mmorpgs or have the best graphics for phones. It’s simplistic in the idea it’s text based RPG, even simplifying the combat experience.

I’ve played for over a month at this point and for those wondering, yes. It’s a grindfest, and so is every other MMO out there anyone plays. What this title sets out to do is just be chill and if you want to idle farm it has it. You want to do the little bits of dungeon and combat? You can do that too. I know some find it slow and boring, but it’s a particular genre with a crowd of its own.

I frankly see it as a nice side game that doesn’t take my attention desperately. In a way it’s fulfilling to watch my growth character wise but that’s just my particular take. So take this as you will, like it for its simplified features? Great. Not much of a fan? Fine too.
AceFang153,
Wow. Just wow.
So, these kinds of games aren’t something people look for often, since at first it may seem boring and/or tedious. I’ll just say right now, that’s not the case. Sure, some parts may be a bit grindy, but just enough to make you feel proud afterwards and not too much to where you think it will never end. It has lots of content, the creator is constantly updating the game, and don’t get me started on the community. It has to be some of the nicest people wandering around the lobby because I promise you, if you have a question, they will answer it and sometimes even send you stuff to help you along the way. The game is amazing, definitely worth 5 stars, and 100% a game everyone should have on their phone, even just to wait for another game to finish a timed event.
Karmiyah or Mia,
Good game
Its a good game but some stuff is hard to understand. I read the tutorial but i have trouble focusing on what i read so it was harder for me to understand. But thats okay because there was many people in the chat to help me figure out the stuff i wanted to know. Just ask what your confused about or how to do something and someone will help you sometimes even multiple people. Everyone there is pretty friendly i havnt seen anyone be mean or start arguments (there might have been some but i havnt been there for them so it doesnt happen often if it does). But i really do like this game, its different then all the games i play but i think ill keep playing. Theres even some people who give stuff to new players one person gave me a whole bunch of stuff which was cool.
Moksha Mokuba,
The first mmorpg that is friendly
What I mean by the title is that the donation being purely cosmetic is a very surprising detail to see, majority would give people bonus stuff that gives them a boost and definitely makes one feel if you fork over cash it means easier time to get what you want, but in this it’s not the case, the buffs are global and give you bonus exp because some random joe did so or your afk farm is sped up because another felt like it, the community doesn’t seem toxic at all, the start off is super smooth the only other game that’s close is Dislyte when it comes to user friendliness at start but this is arguably much smoother just due to how simply and quick the tutorial is and how it doesn’t bombard people to buy something.
