Life Changing Sleep Instruction
This app improved my sleep habits hugely. It used a combination of one on one coaching by texting and 2-3 minute daily readings to teach me how to improve my sleep. My coach, Beth, was so knowledgeable, kind, and caring and guided me and answered any questions I had through a personal messaging system within the app. The price also included a 30 minute phone session with her. I thought I knew a lot about sleep science, but it turns out there was so much I didn’t know. The system is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Insomnia) or CBTi-based. If you do some good research on your own, you’ll find CBTi is the gold-standard to improve sleeping. It works through a combination of natural sleep drive science and psych therapy to let go of those midnight worries about your insomnia. Throw out those sleep meditation tracks and the “eliminate blue light of digital devices!!” dogma. This is the real deal. Do the readings every day, work with your coach, have discipline to go to bed and awake in the recommended window, and spend a minute each morning punching in your data to the app so you can chart your progress. Yeah the sticker price seems high but it worked for me. They even have a post-therapy maintenance mode at a greatly reduced price which I found valuable for a couple months.

So glad I found this app!
I struggled for years with waking up several times each night and taking a long time to get back to sleep as my brain went round and round. I tried relaxation exercises and breathing exercises, and the result was that I was very relaxed as my brain chattered away for an hour. I tried sleeping pills and still woke up several times but was groggy in the morning. I tried many other things to improve my sleep, but nothing helped. I would get up in the morning feeling tired and worried that I hadn’t gotten enough sleep, so I’d take a nap later that day. I was always stressed about sleep and the lack of it.

My sister discovered the Dawn app and told me about it, and it made sense. Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia is a proven treatment, and the Dawn app makes it easy and convenient to follow a CBT program. I started to notice an improvement in my sleep—and most importantly, in my attitude about sleep—after only a couple of weeks on the program. After two months my sleep was much better quality and my sleep pattern was more consistent. My sleep continues to improve, along with my energy level and general contentment.

I highly recommend this program. It works!

Cognitive behavioral therapy - now, accessible via app
My review is based on the free trial.

I am naturally a night owl, and after a baby, my sleep schedule was completely messed up. Fast forward 2 years— toddlers still do not sleep through the night. Sleeping late + waking up at night + rising early mornings meant 4-5 hours of sleep, and I was no longer able to sleep at a reasonable hour. Just thinking of sleep created lots of stress.

We all know that sleep is VERY important and often an overlooked part of your health so I was determined to make a change. I started using meditation apps to help, but I still needed another boost, and I found this app. Though this app is not for every cause of insomnia, I was screened with a quiz and found that I was a suitable candidate for it. I have done independent research and found that CBT is generally effective. Though medications may help some people, it is not something I was interested in at all.

This app is very helpful because it takes out the effort needed to find a coach, and the time spent going to and from those visits. It saves me time, but still offers the help I am seeking and welcoming.

You chat with a behavioral therapist coach and I have found the coach’s comments to be very insightful. I think my sleep has improved, somewhat; I am still not where I would like to be. I am hopeful my sleep will continue to improve, and I look forward to seeing how much this will help this busy, stressed out parent.

Major life improvement
I came across Sleepedy not knowing about CBT-I before, but was encouraged by all of the science behind it. I am a little over 3 weeks in to the program now and my sleep has changed dramatically for the better. I previously dreaded bed time because of the trouble I had falling asleep, most nights wasting hours in bed before I was able to fall asleep. I now have been keeping a regular sleep schedule and have been falling asleep within 10-15 mins... something I was never able to do before. I am now also waking up during the night less (before Sleepedy I would wake at least 3 times during the night, I’m now down to 0 or 1). The app has made it really easy to track my progress and stay accountable to myself. Sleepedy has been a huge improvement to my life and I’m real glad I gave it a try.

Great start for a well-needed app !
I tried this app when it was first released. The user experience is quite slick and well-crafted, and one can see that a lot of effort took place during its implementation.

After adding my sleep information, I was immediately paired with a sleep expert. It’s still early to say whether the application will truly help improve my overall sleep, but I can certainly say that I am feeling more confident when it comes to finding the right resources for sleep improvement. The simple knowledge base in the application has already made me more cognizant of the daily activities that may affect my sleep. Having an assigned sleep expert is also very beneficial since one can ask questions and discuss any concerns, and receive advice almost immediately.

Looking forward to see how this application evolves.

Definitely Beneficial
I had acute insomnia at the time I downloaded this app and was not in a good place with my sleep. I found this app to be incredibly helpful. I participated in the program for approximately 2 months and as it stands now, while my sleep isn’t totally back to normal yet, I’m far and away better than what I was.

The most helpful thing for me was the coaching. You actually get to message someone back and forth who has lived through it and can relate to everything you’re going through which is a huge help. The articles are pretty solid as well and can provide some good insights.

If you’re struggling with sleep, this is definitely worth a shot.

No more insomnia
I saw a reddit user said he was successful with this app. Thats why I have it a try. Before Sleepedy, I get zero sleep a night, continued for days after. After using this for 2 week, i start sleeping 2-4 hour/night. 3 rd week it increased to
6 hours. Im on week 4 and sleeping 7.5 hours/night. The coaches are so responsive and easy to reach to answer your questions and cheer you up. Takes less than 5 mins to fall as sleep. If you should know, I spent almost lots of money on every other methods: hypnosis, psychiatrist, working out...you name it. I spent lots of time crying hopelessly and thought I would never sleep again. If you suffer like I do, give it a try. I promise, you will sleep.

It really helps improve your sleep!
This app is fantastic! I have struggled with insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea for years and have tried so many different products and devices to help with sleep. Nothing has helped me quite like Dawn has! It only took a month for me to start seeing noticeable improvement in my sleep and by the two month mark I was having no trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. Having access to a sleep coach made the experience even better and the customer service is top notch if ever there is an issue. I’m so grateful Dawn exists and can’t recommend this app enough!

Worked for me
This program worked for me. I started feeling better almost immediately when I spoke with an on boarding specialist who reassured me that my sleep difficulties were not unique and And that I wouldn’t die if I missed a couple nights sleep during a week. The schedule they set up for me was extremely helpful and the coach was also very helpful. The only thing I had trouble with was my phone didn’t seem to be able to report the data accurately all the time but I still did well. I concluded the program and occasionally have some trouble sleeping but I know exactly what to do based on what I was taught. I recommend giving this program a try.

Awesome support!
I paid for a month subscription to Dawn because I was having major sleep issues, and wanted to try cognitive behavior therapy. The articles, tracking and especially my coach were such a support for me. I especially enjoyed the 30 min video call with my coach Michelle, and the ability to text her messages daily throughout the program. I learned valuable skills and a new perspective about insomnia which I’ve been dealing with it on and off for years. I’m feeling so much better about my sleep now. I highly recommend to anyone suffering from insomnia. It’s worth the cost!!!
