Simple card game with fun twists, but one con.
This is a simple card game where you try to collect the most points each round. You draw cards until you either collect them for points, or draw a duplicate suit and lose all of the ones you just drew. So it's a gamble, but it's very fun. Each card also has its own ability that changes the game up a lot, which is what I think makes this game fun. If not for that, it would probably be pretty boring. There are also tokens that beef up the cards, making the abilities of the cards more potent.
One con: it doesn't stay in game if I exit to my home screen or switch applications. It completely exits out, so I lose whatever game I had been playing and have to start over and create a new game. If they fixed this so I could continue the game I had been playing, I would definitely give it five stars. As it is, four stars is what it gets.

Endless fun
Update: the most recent update bugged the game out. Now whenever it’s the opponent’s turn, everything moves in fast forward as if the skip is permanently locked in. Sure the game still works but this makes it rather unenjoyable.
As far as card games go, this is a complete success. The gameplay and rules are solid, the card design easy on the eyes, and the pirate theme is achieved perfectly. So far the only area this game has fallen short of total perfection is the lack of an online multiplayer feature. That's what caused it to lose a star from me in the rating. I do hope this is being considered by the dev team.

Bust What Bust
My observation about the game. I play the game at a high level. I notice the computer will bust very rarely. You will suffer quick bust multiple time in each games. The kraken card will only be successful 20% of the time for you compare to the computer 90% success rate with this card. The computer will match your score. If you score a lot of points the computer will counter against you matching or surpassing your score. If you bleed the deck using up the cards quickly and keep the score low the computer's score will be low as well. This strategy can bring some comical moments and laughter. It's amazing to see the computer pull out the win at the end of the game. In fact I have become like Criss Angel and predict which card will appear. Overall the game can be beat but you must be willing to suffer multiple failures. Also I do not use any traits more of a challenge to acquire the three stars for each tournament.

I REALLY enjoyed this game!
First off, I’m not a big card game fan. But, I got hooked on it right away! It’s quite different then others that I’ve tried. I haven’t played this in a while, but I enjoyed it so much when I got years ago that I never deleted it hoping they would somehow add to it. I just noticed an update and wanted to write a review. I ended up purchasing this on the PC also I liked it so much! The way the cards work was well thought up IMO. I recommend trying it out.
To the creator/s of this game. Can you maybe make a part 2 of this title OR something really similar with different types of characters then Pirates?

Arrriginal card game
I've played a lot of good card games on mobiles. Spent money to support the decks where they deserved it (mtg, ascension, hearthstone) I didn't expect much from this game but the reviews got me curious and now I see why it's rated so highly. It's original, polished has a great play mechanic that evolves as you progress. When I need a break from the stress and frustration from the (sometimes not so) occasional mana screw (I'm talking to you magic duels) I'll come back to this game. Just goes to show you that there's still some great game ideas out there that involve nothing more than a deck of specialized pirate cards.

Simple Card Game
This is a simple card game that levels up nicely. You start out very easy and perhaps might think this is a kid game, but with each win it adds another layer of difficulty. After about 10 wins there are so many multiple meanings for each card and layers of strategy that it becomes challenging to consistently win. There is definitely an element of luck in the game and the best plans can be ruined with on lucky last turn when the game can be completely turned upside down(for example I was 60 points ahead "a lot of points" going into the last hand. The computer pulled out 65 points in one hand and won). Thankfully that is rare, but not impossible, so you have to play every hand carefully to the end. I can even count the number of levels in this game it just keeps going and going. Each level adding a new twist to the game.

Most unique game I've played in awhile
This game reminds me of Cosmic Wimpout. It's a game of chance, but with a little bit of strategy involved. Gameplay is pretty straightforward but once you have learned it, the game becomes more complicated. There are 10 suits with 7 cards in each suit. Each suit comes with special abilities. I haven't even unlocked all of the abilities yet and I'm hooked! There is a paper card game, available for purchase as well. This may be one of the most fun games I've played in awhile. It's definitely not like any other card game that I've played.

Excellent game
This is a press your luck style card game where every card has an effect other than its point value providing just enough skill and combos to keep it interesting, this app was a perfect way to learn the game without reading any rules and the tutorial phases were executed brilliantly by only introducing rules between games to avoid handholding. I will be purchasing a physical copy for my play group, so hyped for this cute between game quickie!

I just discovered that the game works great with no issues on my new MacBook (downloaded via the App Store). This game is fantastic. I just wish the developer would update it for phones, as it no longer works properly at all on the phone. See original review below.

I love this game to death and have even introduced my friends to the physical card game version. I would recommend this game to almost anyone.
My only issue is that after playing for a while, it becomes extremely difficult to amass enough coins to unlock or replenish traits. It seems to me that the game is set up so players will inevitably put their money into it (either that or play for weeks, winning and using no traits, to unlock a single new trait).
The pricing for traits or advanced tournaments needs to change or else people will get frustrated and stop playing.
