spiderdragon7,
Thanks!
I love this game a lot & recommend it often. I do wish the UI was easier to navigate. It’s great that the Challenges auto-save, but not giving them a Restart button means you have to wait for the AI to kill your whole team every time you need to restart a level. In a mode that plays like a puzzle game, this is incredibly frustrating & disincentivizes experimenting.

I’ve beat the game and still don’t fully understand how character level ups and ability unlocks work. These usability moments are particularly annoying because of how smooth and intuitive the rest of the game is. Thanks for this gorgeous game!
AZacked,
I enthusiastically recommend!
This is a lovely game in both style and story, and the mix of turn-based tactics and physics-based dodgeball throwing gameplay really engaged me (and it works very well on mobile). I managed to beat the game in my first run, but I wouldn’t call it too easy, given that it took many careful hours over multiple sittings. I’m also impressed by how much post-game content there is in the challenges and nightmare mode, and how hard they seem to be.

All this, plus the free-with-Netflix price tag, makes me want everyone considering the game to give it a try.

Awful
The main character is a they/them, but it should be was/were. Awful voice acting and the Spanish translation is cancer inducing. Almost makes subscribing to Netflix feel like a crime.
SuperShoeDiva,
Terrible UI
Throw the ball at the thing okay. Can’t aim, can’t play.
PLAdams,
Please add controller support!
I want to play this on my Backbone One.
Yellandy,
Absolutely should not have been a rogue-lite
I like this spin on turn-based tactics, and I enjoy the narrative and overall aesthetic this game is going for. That being said, the rogue-lite angle absolutely kills this game.

Progression is limited and extremely slow, and the difficulty inches up even slower. Even if you are given different types of skills each game, the first thirty minutes of each run feels identical between rounds. First, you fight one guy. Then, you fight a tougher guy. Then, two guys. Most rogue-lites are hard from the jump because it forces you to get better at the game. If the first thirty minutes of this game is identical and super easy every playthrough, I’m not going to slog through it just to get back to where I died.

If anything, I could see restarting to the beginning of each area more reasonable. Character pogression could still carry over between deaths but you’d still have some tension if you die during a boss fight. As of right now, this game doesn’t respect your time at all despite its fun and unique gameplay.
The Yogi Coyote,
Beautiful and fun…the first 12 times.
So I love this game. It’s beautiful, the battles are challenging and fun, and the story is well written. That said, the fact that it starts you back at the very beginning EVERY time you lose one match gets pretty old, especially when it’s also the same dialogue. Even Mario gives you three bites at the apple. One wrong move and you don’t restart the level, you restart the game. Yes, that make the game feel insurmountable, but what also stinks is that’s not how “working through things”, the whole narrative of the game, works either. Yes, hard self-work stinks, and sometimes you fail, but you NEVER go back to zero…

I’ll hold off playing more until something shifts here. Its hard to rebuild friendships and reframe your mindset, I’m not interested in starting over every time I make a misstep.
AdvidDodgeballFan,
Great Game
Game is a lot of fun. Story and characters are interesting, dynamic, & heart felt. Loved playing the game. Dialog is amazing, voice acting is remarkable. Gameplay is a very fun tactical dodgeball based game.
The only drawback with the game is the restarting from chapter one on a failed dream. While I only had to restart maybe three times before completing the final chapter, it was frustrating.
Alisha Jones I-Phone,
Could use better revival points
The game is great over all. I love the aesthetic, the storyline, and the characters. However, what I find frustrating is that when the character wakes up, they start all the way back to Chapter 1. Is it possible to change it where maybe a checkpoint is at the start of each chapter? It gets real frustrating when you have to get the characters back, and go through all the power ups.
Mcslackentor,
Very well done with a fatal, unplayable flaw
Great game: fun, informative, thoughtful, great characters and story. But the design choice of once you “fail” a level you have to restart at the beginning makes this largely unplayable. I’d recommend avoiding this game until/if this design decision is changed. Far too frustrating.
