Works for me, pair with app and not Bluetooth settings
This works for me with iPad mini 5th gen. Registration tries to get you to share a valid email, but you can skip confirmation. The instructions included in the box and in the app are lacking but the Kano website says to ensure Bluetooth is on (plug light by power button is on) and you have to pair with the app (as opposed to pairing with the iOS Bluetooth settings, which cannot see the device). That worked for me - finally. This has been fun so far, but the shared content could use some moderation - for example someone shared a level called “death chamber” which has some spinning gears that look like they are chopping up little children.

Super frozen!
This is a must read review every time I try to look at what someone posted it freezes and never works the reason why I give it to stars is because if the app diddent freeze it would be a good game and if you add some thing to the game like you can dress up Anna and or elca plese read!

Can’t get past the registration screen
When I try to register it clears my region selection and says I must select a region. So with out the software it’s just a really expensive night light. Bought these after Christmas last year to give to the kids this year so returning them is not an option. I’m going to contact the company, but seeing similar reviews from two years ago doesn’t make me hopeful.

App doesn’t work
No star rating from me. You cannot get through the registration pages. You also cannot hook up to a kit because you have to have Bluetooth setup. What happened to using WiFi or Offline mode!! This app definitely needs to be worked on.

Can’t register App
Got new iPad and redo loaded app, doesn’t let us register region so you can’t get past registration screen. Try to loo up old account and says “error try again later” repeatedly. The hardware is useless with no functional software.

This app is amazing the other reviews I read did not make

Horrible user interface
Probably the worst user interface I have seen on a mobile device; looks like it was designed for a desktop and then shoddily porter to iOS. I honestly can’t believe this is anyhow associated with a Disney and they would approve this. The screen cuts off at the bottom. The menus are clunky. There’s no way any kid can reasonably use this app as I struggled with it at times and I work in IT.
The device itself (the puck that this goes with) is pretty good and the overall premise is great but this app is junk and basically needs a complete rewrite.

White Screen Issue
I also have an issue with the white screen as well. It’s been a month since they have actually updated this app. Ridiculous price to pay for an app that does not work. I have emailed Kano directly as of today and hopefully it will be fixed or it will be returned. My daughter was very disappointed!
