This app doesn’t even want my email address, let alone my money, to watch a diverse collection of well-made nonfiction. That’s worth five stars right there.
It helps that the clean, minimalist interface is easy to navigate. There aren’t any bells or whistles, but I don’t miss them. Who needs a watchlist when you want to watch half the library?
Many theaters that would have screened these films won’t reopen post-COVID and many streaming services bury these films behind bloated catalogs and messy menus. This app arrived in the right places at the right time.

I ❤️this app!!! Amazing documentaries 🌟🌟🌟
I downloaded the app and within minutes I decided to watch a film. The film was “I Am Another You” by award-winning filmmaker Nanfu Wang. I was blown away by the sensitive storytelling and the incredible cinematography and editing. This app is curating the best documentary films in one place and is a champion for independent filmmakers. To be honest, I’ve been bored by the selection of documentaries on major streamers like Netflix because they are so corporatized! So happy I found this app and I can’t wait to watch more documentaries from incredible filmmakers.

Just when I thought I didn’t need another streaming service, a friend turned me on to Doc + and now I’m obsessed. Documentaries definitely needed their own platform, and the selection is so much more interesting and easier to browse than Netflix. Spending a lot of time on here 👌 would recommend highly

Best app to watch Documentaries!
Lots of documentaries and easy to navigate. If anything, choosing from all the great documentaries available is the hard part. Fortunately, I can return over and over again to enjoy them!

For a new app service, it’s amazing how many docs are on there. I had never heard of some of these which sound super cool and will keep me busy for a long time coming. And a lot of awesome docs I’ve been dying to watch that have won awards. Really awesome!

Excellent design and quality content for zero dollars! You’d think there was a catch, but there isn’t! I watched an awesome doc on Nirvana/Grunge, and there was a maybe 10 second ad at the beginning but that’s it!
I’m looking forward to watching the Magnus Carlson doc, and then digging into the true crime section.
This is an awesome service for non-fiction junkies like myself, and really just anyone looking for fresh content these days.

I’m a big fan of it. Who can say no to free documentaries? Also, they’re actually good documentaries. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because the lack of Chromecast or Airplay support. With that support it would be perfect.

NO SOUND! They want you to buy player subscription. Misleading.
No sound. You must buy subscription to the player in order to get sound on the documentaries. It is misleading that there’s no subscription, when actually there is. It’s a farce! I would not, I repeat, word not recommend this app to anyone, and I will be sure to spread the “great news“ all over social media
