There is no fill tool. I transferred from a LG Samsung to an iPhone 7 Plus to continue works on dotpict and for several long minutes I still can’t figure out where the heck the fill tool is that was ALWAYS on the app on my Samsung...

Best pixel art app by far!
I usually don’t write reviews, but this app is so amazing I felt I had to. The interface is very convenient, and the drawing system, while different from your average drawing app, is actually really easy to use! It also prevents you from swiping accidental lines and lets you draw evenly. The posting feature is pretty nice, and lets you share your artwork with other users of the app. When starting a drawing after picking a size you can choose a starting palette you can adjust to your liking or many preset ones that look very pleasing to the eye.
Probably one of the best things about this app is that the developer actually responds to issues and fixes them, as well as adds new features frequently! The core things I feel this app is missing are the abilities to choose a custom canvas size and have more colors to set. It also really, really needs a messaging system, since most recent art is buried under arrows pointing to a message for someone. Overall, this app is certainly the best I’ve come across, but it’s very hard to get your art actually noticed amidst the chat threads.

Good but some problems
This is the best pixel app I’ve found, but there’s a limited color palette and your drawings don’t transfer from device to device been when using the same account, another problem is the max layers you can have is 5 unless you buy premium, waay to little amount before paying, also when buying premium the app sometimes just refuses to give the rewards to you. Also the app is extremely glitchy on iPad which needs to be worked on, sometimes it will zoom or unzoom for no reason and when hitting the back button it won’t always keep up and you won’t know how much you undid until you draw again, there’s also no way to leave the canvas your working on without reopening the app. Also a smaller problem is it will still draw with your hands even if you have “only draw with apple pencil” in the ipad settings which would be something which is annoying and would be nice to be fixed

Error messages & banning
I love the game very much, it’s addictive and love the chat feature. There is a thing concerning me though. I’m not sure if anyone else has had the glitch but, the game would randomly have an error message and log me out without doing anything. This has been happening frequently resulting me in leaving the game with frustration. As for the “banning” concern. We understand that if there is inappropriate art we can report it and have the artist take it down. However, a numerous amount of people have been leaving the game due to false reports of being a “nuisance.” We can’t put a word into our art or even a single number or letter without having a report show up. Banning is losing A LOT of your players. Therefore if this feature stays, no one will use your game anymore. I suggest if you want your players/customers to stay playing the game you get rid of the banning feature. As for if anything IS REPORTED, the art would be sent to the publishers of the game to view it before deciding if its an ACTUAL inappropriate/graphic art piece. Thank you and PLEASE fix this.

Getting banned
Hello creator of this app! I’ve been told this app was really fun from a friend of mine. So a downloaded it and I had lots of fun too. But my friend decided to draw something inappropriate, as a joke. I warned her not to, saying that she might get banned. And she did it anyway, i know this is a lot to ask for, but can u maybe make an update for when people get banned they have a time for when they get unbanned? Like, if someone drew something they weren’t suppose to, they can be banned for a months of a couple days. Then get unbanned after that time limit. When that happens, they will learn not to draw something like that again. I’m also trying to say to give people who were banned a chance to draw again. I won’t be surprised if the update doesn’t come, but it’s worth trying right? Well, that’s all I really have to say. Your app is amazing and really fun. I enjoy it a lot:) bye!

Pretty good, with a few issues
I honestly really like dotpict! It’s easy to use, and overall a pretty good pixel art program. Though I do have a few complaints.
First off, it could be just me but whenever I try to draw on my 128 x 128 canvas, it crashes after a while. Maybe a few minutes between each crash? It’s pretty ridiculous, and makes it really annoying to draw complicated artwork.
Second, you guys need a messaging system really badly. Whenever I open the app and hit the ‘new’ page to browse through artwork, 75% of the posts would just be people posting an arrow and talking to people through the title. And that’s honestly really annoying. You guys can just message through tumblr or twitter or whatever you have, please stop spamming the newest posts with conversations that doesn’t allow actually good artwork to be seen by the public.

Very surprised!
I was extremely surprised to see how well this worked! It works very well, and I'm very glad I found it. The cursor-like way you can hover over your drawing and plan out your drawing strokes before you add them is a very good feature. The color change does get bumped by me every now and then, but it's not that bad. All the more, this app is amazing.
However, if you could add a 'layers' feature, this would be great. I usually do a layer for basic sketches and then another for finishing touches. Also, an 'input picture' one would be great as well. So you could have a sketch ready to pix-ify! Thanks for this amazing app, and I look forward to seeing it grow in the future!

Very good!!! But there’s some problems,,,
I tried getting in after closing the app and it said an error had occurred and my heart dropped. I thought for a second that I had been banned because I’ve seen reviews about being banned extremely quick and for no reason sometimes but it was just a glitch.
I reinstalled the app and successfully logged in which left me relieved, but please fix this. I don’t want to randomly have an error appear and have to re-download the app every single time this happens. also after logging back in, all of my canvases and palettes did not save, is it possible if you could save them inside your account?
By the way, can you please add a feature where you can reply to comments? That would be great.
Also, I saw somewhere how you cannot unblock after you block someone? We are all human and humans change their minds so that would be good to change so we can unblock.

Great UI, and extremely easy to use!
A few drawbacks are...
#1- I may have missed it, but I didn’t see an option for custom image dimensions.
It’s all set in “standard” presets (8, 16, 24, 32, etc.)
#2- when I exported my first image to my phone’s library, it auto smoothed it, which resulted in blurry pixels. (Still need to test going straight to drive tho)
#3- from my experience in the program, you are limited to 1 palette per image, and each “palette” can only contain 14 colors.
I haven’t run into a need for more (yet), but I can see how this may effect art pieces.

If you are just touching the surface of pixel art, and trying to learn it (#beginner), then I would highly recommend this app!
It’s easy to use, and comes with a community of inspiration and tips!
If you are one of those pixel masters (#pro myself) this app may only bring disappointment.
The options are quite limited compared to paid programs, and although the community is neat, there are many who “mock” pixel art by trying their pencil skills on the app (which may bring sadness lol).
If you think it looks neat, I would definitely recommend giving this app a try!

The best pixel art app no doubt💯
This app is pretty cool 😎 but fr i’ve spent so much time on this app the tools are really helpful. The online feature is pretty nice it gets constant updates also like it’s free cant go wrong with free. I do think that there is still a lot that could be added like a mirror or custom brushes. One thing I think would be nice is copying from one project and pasting in another project. Also I think adding a premium thing for these would be cool too i would love to support this app also get new features just….dont make it a subscription or ill get angy😡 thats about it 10/10 very cool 👍.
