Description

Getting to the root cause of weight gain

When it comes to losing weight, people are often looking for a quick fix:
- "I will no longer eat sugar or refined cereals."
- "I will only eat 1200 calories per day."
- "I will only eat between 12 and 7 PM."
- ... and so on.

Sadly, the solution to reaching and maintaining an optimal weight is more nuanced than that. Restrictive diets can be too temporary, often leaving you in a worse place than you were before starting them.

To get fit and healthy, you must fix your eating habits and eat in response to physiological hunger.

People are not getting fat because of the occasional pizza, burger, or cookie. The real culprit is that overeating has become very easy because of the increasingly stressful environments and the rise of convenience foods. Many people have gotten disconnected from their body signals and eat for different reasons (boredom, distraction, stress, loneliness, etc. ).

Here's where Eating Buddy enters the picture!

Eating Buddy helps you to keep track of your eating patterns, raises awareness about your food decisions, and enables you to make healthier choices in the long run.

Eating Buddy doesn't utilize restrictive methods. Instead, it follows intuitive eating principles, helping you focus on your habits to find better ways to eat that work for you in the long run.

With Eating Buddy, you will re-learn to:
- Recognize hunger cues
- Eat only when hungry
- Pick the right foods for you
- Stop when satisfied.

Give Eating Buddy a try and witness the positive changes in your eating habits!

How It Works

You can get to the bottom of your eating habits by noting how hungry you are, when, and what you eat.
From hungry to stuffed, track how your meals make you feel, quickly discovering a better balance.
Come to grips with how you feel, learning your hunger states and triggers.

The Timeline

Eating Buddy features a comprehensive timeline, showcasing your hunger states, the meals you ate, their reasons, and a symbol for your post-meal state - letting you quickly decipher when you're on track and not.

The Analysis Page

The Analysis Page helps you see your food patterns over the last seven days. You will easily find the number of meals logged, the percentage of them eaten when hungry, and at what point overeating may have occurred.

👻Ghost👻 👋🏻😊,
Great mindful eating tracker
This app has really helped me stay aware of why I’m eating and is great to be able to reflect on the quality of my diet. It’s smooth, simple, and easy to log. I love it, I just wish there were a few changes that would make things easier.
It’d be great to be able to change the timeline so that the most recent meal was at the top, maybe a setting for people to choose their preference. I wish there were more options for how to describe the amount specifically cup and tablespoon options. Also, it’d be nice to have to option to take a picture of the meal and add that to the food log, get a better visualization of it. Again, great app and no problems but some minor changes can make it even better. Thank you for making this app!
extra cheese please,
🍽️✨🦋
I poked fun at a previous icon the app used in my original review, but it’s always been a 5 star app. I’ve watched it grow and change through the updates and it just keeps getting saucier.

I have a few suggestions based on my own experience with logging long term; I think changing the order of each day’s timeline would be helpful so the last meal logged is on top to match how the days are ordered. And it’d be really cool if the [Serving] and [After Meal] drop down menu expanded on a 3D Touch or long press —I believe it’d make checking and changing the labels a lot quicker. I often find myself skipping accuracy just to get the food logged. But I suppose everything is 1 serving if you believe enough 😏

Tiffy101,
Great Start!
This app is just what I was looking for to bring mindfulness to my eating patterns while still being a simple design. All the other apps try to do too much and this does just enough. A few issues, the dates for my timeline are a day behind (example, it’s Saturday but it logs it as Friday) and there are no settings to adjust this. Additionally, I wish there was an option to select how I’m feeling without logging my meals. I think for people who struggle with emotional eating, it would be nice just to track their hunger levels throughout the day. This is a great start though, and I hope further updates will be released.

Great App!
Overall, the simplicity of this app is exactly what I needed! When learning to eat intuitively, having a simple app to track how I felt before a meal and then logging what I ate is great! The things it could use in addition are: an option to choose how you’re feeling *after* you eat, as well as being able to adjust the time of the food you log in case you can’t enter it right away when you’re eating. Overall, a great app with a great foundation!
Jackie Chaz,
Great app and really helps me tune in to my body
This app is so intuitive and has a really clean layout. I love the simplicity and how easy it is to track meals. It’s helped me so much on my intuitive eating journey and listening to my body. I do wish the timeline was going in the reverse direction so most recent food showed at the bottom instead of the top but it just took some getting used to and it doesn’t bother me anymore.

Simple and Effective
I like this app for being more mindful when I eat. I appreciate the notification to report my satiety several minutes after I eat. I like that it doesn’t require you to put in a ton of details, count calories, etc.

I do wish there was an option to log symptoms/post notes in between logged meals. That way I could keep better track of how certain foods make me feel after the fact.

I’m very appreciative of this app. Thank you for creating it. 🙏

Eating Buddy
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I like this app for logging food, It doesn’t judge me for my choices. I am practicing eating intuitively and it is a long road. Because of all the dieting and other things, I have had no appetite. Thank you for the memo for each meal to make notes. It is helping me to see my successes and my challenges. Thank you for the change you made!

Perfect Support
I’ve been using Eating Buddy for several days. It is the perfect support tool! It’s flexible, editable and visually displays results. It’s a simple tool with robust results. Definitely check it out. I’ve been looking for something like this for years.

To limited
There should be way more options then there are to choose from. For example (not hungry but eating anyways) and then it should ask u why ur eating even though ur not hungry.
Planetsuz,
Simple app. Responsive support.
Simple, no frills app is easy to use and does just what it says in a straightforward way. I noticed a bug and contacted support. They fixed it within 48 hours.
