Not bad but...
Seems like a nice app but there are just not enough lessons to justify paying for premium subscription! What’s the deal? If the developers are not ready to provide sufficient lessons then they should not roll out the app or advertise it at all! Otherwise I think it’s really got a good potential.

Promising app
The app provides a unique and helpful way to learn a language compared to other apps like Duolingo. I needed an app to help me review so I wish there were more lessons since I started with the business course. The app also has a few glitches - when I am asked to reorder the characters no statement or multiple choice characters shows up for me to answer the prompt. Overall, having Lanny is very helpful and provides a much more interesting learning experience. I think this would be great for people just starting out learning Chinese!

Eggbun – Closest to Perfection
So far I've tried the Korean and Chinese Eggbun apps and I have loved both a LOT. They are the best sources for learning Asian languages that I know of because they explain the foundations of the language in depth so you understand how the characters (for Korean) and pinyin (for Chinese) are put together. They include teaching on pronunciation, help you memorize, and give new vocabulary and every unit/lesson is split up into small feasilble ones. It takes such little time to complete a few and it's easy because it's on a mobile device! LOVE IT!

Fun and Interactive!!!
This app is very different from some typical language app I used. It feels personal because it's in a chat form. In everyday life, we communicate through messages and chats. I think Eggbun did a great job of incorporating language into something we use everyday. Sometimes I forget that I am learning a language because I get so caught up with the chat box.
Learning a new language can be very challenging. I get bored easily doing the same thing over and over. This however, has a fresh way to approach things. It is not as expensive as some language apps. I used Rosetta Stone and I paid a hefty price. The Rosetta Stone lacked what this app has to offer. Rosetta Stone approach is more about learning the phrases and vocabulary. This one also does but it also explains why that character is what it is. I think it's a great foundation to understand the ins and outs of the characters so that you can remember it long term.
I would recommend this if you want to learn Chinese in a fresh and modern way. It has some nuggets of explaining the culture and the idea behind the word. I think they can definitely expand this for beginner to expert. There are few things they can improve but I think they are on a great start!

Splendid App!
I love the Eggbun apps! I have downloaded both the Korean and Chinese learning apps. It is quite an interesting platform. Very fun to use and it feels like you are actually texting your friend!
