lalalaliky1,
Love it!! Very Helpful information and professionals
This app is a great gentle workout. I love that it is safe for DR and also helps to heal it! I’m still on week 3 so I’m not very far in, but I love the workouts and gentleness of the trainer and also the helpful videos which tell you what is safe and what is not and how to properly move day to day with DR. I cried when I watched those because I felt so supported and like I was finally getting the information I needed! I love that you can ask questions and a trained professional will answer you. I’m feeling like I can do it! It’s so nice that the videos are easy to follow, especially with motherhood really taking it all out of me everyday, I love that I can come to this app and do similar workouts everyday, not having to learn something new necessarily. I feel like the moves are specifically chosen for their effectiveness because I can feel it. I really like the speakers voice and her words are always helpful reminders so I’m properly doing the exercises! I often find myself listening to her and then realizing I needed that reminder and incorporating it. I also really love the set up of the app, it’s straightforward but also simple and beautiful. Thanks EveryMother

Slimming my waist
I’ve tried quite a few diastasis programs in the past but this one is the best. The easy to use app format is my favorite vs trying to find what day I’m on with programs available online. I just switched from a different workout app (which wasn’t geared for DR) because it was destroying my core despite trying to be careful. I had undone all of my previous DR healing unfortunately by doing certain excersises I didn’t realize were harmful, and by not engaging my core properly. My pooch became huge after faithfully following that workout program for 74 days and I felt so defeated! I had been eyeing every mother program and decided it was time to switch. I’m only a little over one week in and my DR is closing back up thankfully and my pooch is almost completely gone. I will add though, I already know how to activate my deep transverse muscles. You need to be careful about your posture and proper core engagement throughout the day as well for EM to be as effective as quickly as it has been for me. I’m hoping to completely close my DR by the end of the program!

I was really interested in this app which was brought to my attention through an ad in my Instagram feed. I currently have diastis recti and was excited at the idea of using an app and at-home program to help get it under control versus going to a physical therapist weekly as i have been doing. Unfortunately, I went on Instagram to check out the vibe of Every Mother‘s social media and was disappointed to find posts dedicated to the LGTBQ+ lifestyle, the Black Lives Matter Marxist movement, race education for youth, and other virtue signaling messages. The posts mentioned are all fine and good except for the fact that there wasn’t a single patriotic post dedicated to our beautiful country on any of the days the opportunity for such a post would have been ideal such as memorial day, the Fourth of July, or Veterans Day. The Every Mother team claims to support mothers and families in the armed services, but how exactly? I see no posts, where the app is most publicly represented, dedicated to support of those mothers/families or our country. The founders of Every Mother may have selfishly forgotten about what many have sacrificed to allow them to even have an app to begin with, but I will forgo purchasing or supporting them while I wear red, white, and blue for all the black, white, and brown brothers and sisters who served and died to make this the best country in the world. 🇺🇸
Tayliz19,
LOVE EM!!
I love this program and how the workouts are always under 30 minutes, making it so easy to fit them into your daily schedule. Not to mention, they are easy enough to do in your den with only a few objects (weights, resistance band, etc.) or sometimes none at all. Even if I can’t fit in the more intense workout, I know I can always fit the core compressions in, which only take a few minutes. And it’s always available on my phone when I travel, or I can airplay to my TV for a larger screen.
I started this program a couple of months before I became pregnant with my second baby. I did the prenatal path throughout my pregnancy and I contribute my super quick and amazing postpartum healing to this! Now I am 4 1/2 months postpartum with my second, I am just a couple of pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight, (I gained a lot during my second pregnancy,) and feeling REALLY great about my body! I’ve not felt this confident physically in quite a few years. I cannot recommend this enough for every mama!
earlyCareerCares,
Like it but could do with some tweaks
Generally happy with both the app and the training videos, but there a few things that I haven’t liked. Several of the exercise videos require equipment like weights, resistance bands, blocks, etc., I wish it was more clear from the onset what equipment will be needed with details (like actual weigh ranges rather than “light” and “heavy”). Some videos are of an instructor doing the moves and voice-over directions. I find these difficult to keep up with and have even injured my back slightly trying to both do the move and watch the video to figure out what to do simultaneously. Videos where the instructor is talking and doing the moves live are much easier to keep up with. My guided path is 84 days long and my subscription is 91 days, which doesn’t give me much time for days off unless I pay for another 3-month subscription. Otherwise, I like the mix of weight training, cardio, and yoga and I can say after 3 weeks I already notice improvements to my body. I’ll likely continue using this app after my initial path ends.
GlassFrog2002,
There’s finally hope!
I went to an actual Physical Therapist for about three months, as recommended by my OBGYN. It was hard to stay motivated to do the exercises at home on my own and I also wasn’t engaging my core muscles with each movement. When I “graduated” from PT, my huge pooch was still there and I felt helpless.

I finally decided to try EM and lo and behold, 21 days into the Reclaim program and I have measurable results and before and after photos to prove it. I wake every morning, happy and excited to look in the mirror at how much flatter my stomach looks now. The reminders while working out are perfect, the lessons about proper form are perfect and even the short duration of the workouts is just right for busy moms. I actually enjoy all the workouts and look forward to doing them every single day. I sincerely want to thank the creators of this program for helping mothers and anyone suffering DR. There is hope without surgery! Thank you!
bigboymomma,
3 year postpartum and it works!
I gave birth to a large baby vaginally and my hips and back have never been the same. I didn't really get anywhere with my dr (all my online research kept gravitating to DR). I had been cleared to exercise and had even run a 5k 9 months postpartum (pushing that baby yet again, lol)… yoga kind of helped but then life happens ya know. Thankfully I stumbled upon Every Mother’s Instagram and purchased a year long subscription (costs less than a year membership at local gyms). The videos are crazy informative and as a visual learner super helpful in making sure exercises are performed correctly! And I’m happy to report that my lower back pain was gone- yes GONE, after 3 or 4 days! Less than a week results after 3 years of major discomfort! Heck yes, I’ll take it. After 2 weeks I noticed my clothing is fitting differently as well. I’m still working on drinking more water and eating more healthy but I HIGHLY recommend this program.
Agriesem,
Worth the money for me
I am a second time user of this program after both of my babies, born 2.5 years apart. I believe exercises like this should be part of every woman’s postpartum care. They really work. I have two comments on this program specifically that may help others determine if it is right for them.

After reading the lower star reviews I want to comment on the “boring” description. If you are looking for fast-paced workouts that don’t require focus this is not for you. It is more akin to meditation. I have to focus the whole time and not let my mind wander for the exercise to be effective. For me this is the opposite of boring, but I could see where this may not work for everyone.

If you are questioning whether it is worth the money I think it is worth saying that the exercise IS fairly simple. I decided to make the purchase, even after going through the whole program once before, because I find the videos motivate me and the fact that I spent money holds me accountable to using them. But I think it may be possible for people with more discipline or a different set of motivators to bypass spending money and maybe achieve similar results.

With that said, I really appreciate all the work that went into this app (it didn’t exist after my first baby!) and love this program. I appreciate that there is more diversity of body type in the videos than there used to be. We can always use more of that!
Bootyhoo,
Exactly what mothers need
I’ve been doing this workout since the beginning of quarantine and it’s been wonderful. I’ve got two toddlers - my youngest was 18 months when I started. From his pregnancy and babyhood I got a herniated disc which I struggled with for months of PT and injections. I really needed
To strengthen my core and keep it strengthened and had found a great la Gree studio and was making progress and pain free, then quarantine hit. I knew I could t afford to let my core get weak and reinjure my back so I tried this. It’s amazing. I couldn’t be happier. I love group classes and didn’t think I could be happy with a fitness app but this really works. It’s also not too intense - like you will have the physical energy to do the manual labor of childcare after while still building your strength. I kept up with my workouts on the app and my own stretching and cardio regime and I have had a healthy back and no pain - even with all the added childcare (and no help) during quarantine.
Juju Kai,
Worth the time and money, great results
I didn’t learn about diastasis recti or abdominal separation till 4 almost 5 months postpartum through my own research. My OB unfortunately didn’t bring up this situation even at my 6 week checkup. In my research, I came across the NPR article about diastasis recti and the Every Mother App resource. Since I joined about a month ago, I discovered I have abdominal separation, but I’ve been able to reduce the separation drastically and lost a few inches off of my waist. I look forward to the 10 minute core compressions every day on the App. It is super easy to follow and a realistic time to spend while taking care of a new baby. The workouts are also a great feature to your path. I recommend this to any woman looking to strengthen their core and build a strong foundation for recovery, daily movement, and other exercises. It is way cheaper than a PT visit too unless you need additional professional assistance for pelvic therapy etc.
