Love It, but super glitch on 13
I’m super stuck on 13. At the spot where you have to put the dice looking blocks on table (to open the second door)...and they don’t work. I’m not sure if all blocks should be “magnetic” to each other, but even on the first round (making the cross) I spent about an hour cycling through all cubes to finally get some to stick. On this second round, same thing is happening. I used the hint to make sure I was doing it right (I was) and I got the cubes in the correct order and no matter how many times I make the correct shape...the second door won’t open. I’ve replayed the entire level about 6 times now and consistently have the same issue. I’m paying separately for the new levels...not sure if that’s the issue?

Really fun but some glitches
I have made it all the way to level 15. I have made the $2.99 purchase to get ride of adds and have unlimited hints. I’m completely stuck and don’t understand what to do next with the big wheel. When I want to watch the hint it glitches and the places where you you press the bottom to block the beam goes away. Also when I first started playing the level, I would ask for a hint, the center cylinder completely disappeared and was replaced by a big column. Then when I was on top of the center cylinder, and asked for a hint, there would be a triangle on the smallest ring that would just move on it’s own. I really like the game so far, but some glitches need to be fixed.

I’m posting this on all three “Faraway” game reviews.
These were THE most challenging and unbelievable games, I have ever played in iOS history. I am absolutely devastated that I just now finished the third one. I’m not sure what to do. PLEASE...whomever is the brains behind this just HAS to come out with a fourth! ...developers...can you shed any light on if there is a future for another one?
I’m sorry to report that in my opinion, none of the other games even compare to these. While the graphics may be more advanced on the more recent games, the simplicity yet complexity of the first three cannot be surpassed. I bet you for more!

Amazing
I have played many mobile games and few are on par with faraway 2. As a fan of the Monument Valley series, this game satisfies my need for puzzles and sometimes mind bending images. I have found it hard to find every bit of the original adventurer’s journal, but that only creates more mystery. I love it! I played faraway 1 a while ago and loved how it made me think, unlike most games. One small aspect of the game I truly love is the music and sfx. In a totally serene environment, subtle piano music is the perfect backdrop for footsteps and the grinding of opening doors. If you are like me and love puzzles, or maybe you just need to relax, Faraway 2 is the game for you.

Personal Review
The faraway series is one of a kind. The calm setting you’re put in is perfect for critical thinking. The ‘watch hint’ feature is useful although I did my best to never use it. The only downfall that I would point out is the touch/turning.
This is one of the few games that I have found myself getting lost in, I feel as though I’m a part of the world, looking for an escape. Finding the notes is a challenge but never too difficult but once again, another great feature.
Also, purchase the game. 2.99 to be occupied for the next 3/4 days...? Worth it.

Lots of fun.
First off I loved smashing the jars even when there’s nothing in them. The rest of the game is fun with logic and visual challenges I enjoyed, not too hard but hard enough to feel proud when I figured them out. The hints were helpful. The consistency throughout the levels was helpful too. I liked the music, soothing and unobtrusive. The narrative notes were the only weakness; they don’t hold clues and often refer to obscure beings we never encounter. That’s not a negative so much as a neutral. I’ll definitely play another Faraway!

Love it!
Challenging, tests your memory and makes you really think to figure out the next step. The Mellow music is perfect, because it doesn't break your concentration and even relaxes you. Although the scenery could be more realistic, I'm not complaining, since the game's free. So far I've achieved level 6 without purchasing any coins. If you need coins, You can watch videos to earn them. It just updated but I haven't seen it yet, and I can hardly wait to find out what it did! So glad I downloaded it.

Based on my experience with the first game, this was an instant purchase for me. I didn’t even have to preview the first few levels before smashing the buy button. Each stage offers a fantastic set of puzzles for the first trip through and an even more in-depth version of the puzzles for full game completion in finding all of the missing notes.
The art is charming and the controls are very precise. I can’t wait to solve each level and reach that 100% completion again!

One of my favorite puzzle games
I love environmental puzzles & I can usually do these but with some of those requiring spatial abilities, I need to use the hints. Nonetheless, I find them to be very engaging if, at moments, frustrating. Still, I always prefer more challenging puzzles to those that cannot hold my attention. I hope the 3rd version comes out soon. (Still don’t really get the function of the notes.)

Glitches
I have to play this game in small doses because the difficulty I have playing it on the large iPad Pro gets overwhelming at times. When trying to position moveable objects, like lasers, or discs that you have to rotate, it gets extremely frustrating because the item will move a certain amount and then the picture will start jumping around. It goes back and forth between where you had the laser and another viewpoint. That really needs to be fixed.
