Fun puzzles
I really enjoyed this game. The puzzles were fun and the graphics and complexity got better as the game progressed. My favorite part was the library. I docked a star because the hot spots were too large so often I was shunted somewhere when I just wanted to check something local out. The game ended abruptly when I tried to click on a letter and was shunted through the final portal with no way of going back unless I start chapter 18 from the beginning. So the ending was a major disappointment. All in all a good game worth 1.99 but not the 2.99 price. I finished it in a couple hours.
Mikeakopa,
Love the Faraway series!!!
I’ve played through the entirety of the previous 3 getting every note and am now about 1/4 through this, the 4th, and am enjoying it thoroughly!! Fantastic series for quick and fun play sessions and somehow seems to stay fresh and interesting, especially when played in shorter bursts. Controls phenomenally and each game in the series is beautiful and artistic in each of their different ways. Can’t recommend enough, and the model allows for new comers to try any of them for free, and I highly recommend spending the few dollars to complete them if they interest you. I HATE free-to-play model games with digital currencies and always try to support more premium games and this series does a great job of allowing some free play for those who want to dip their toes in before paying. One of my favorite IOS series😊

Amazing 🤩
Faraway 4 really seems to take me faraway from my life. Whether it’s the ingenious puzzles or intricate patterns it is challenging and makes me think outside the box. The story behind it is intriguing and understandable. The diary pages are hidden well but not impossibly hard to find. The stunning eternal fall background ties together the white buildings and the theme. The landscape is enticing and is easily my favorite part. Last but not least, the gameplay is smooth and I don’t see any blockyness or pixelated parts. The purchase is totally worth it. 100 percent. You have easily nailed the best game I have ever played. I hope you continue making amazing faraway games like this one. Thank you for your time. Faraway is my #1 choice for puzzle games or just games in general! Good job.

Absolutely amazing!
I’ve just started playing this game and I already love it. From the graphics to the amazing puzzles, I love it. At first I thought it would be a very simple game where you just walk through, but once I figured it was a puzzle game I smiled so hard.

One thing I’ll recommend is the ability to walk freely, but besides that it’s so good. Even only being able to look sideways is fine. The conflict of being able to walk freely will get rid of the puzzle when there’s a door or walkway to the side that you cannot see though, so I understand why you disabled that.

That being said, this app is absolutely astonishing. Something I can play easily on the way to work or when I’m about to sleep. You’re doing great!

Okay for Kids, or Puzzle Novices
The “puzzles” in this game are so childishly simple that it threw me at first. I thought “There has to be more to this game. I must be missing something.” But no, what you see is what you get; puzzles that telegraph the solution so plainly that they might just as well have a graphic on the bottom spelling it out. Then I thought “Okay, but they’re going to get harder as we go.” Nope.

If this is your first puzzle game, it might be a good introduction. But you will be in for a surprise if you progress to The Room, or House of DaVinci, or any Glitch game (the best!) or Rusty Lake, or Isoland, or the Legacy series. All of these games have much better graphics. Graphics here look like ones from my old 1980s desktop games; in fact not as good. Other games mentioned above have puzzles that will require thought.

Another annoyance here is having to hold the iPad in portrait mode.

Now something that doesn’t bother me: Having to pay for games. I didn’t pay for this one (obviously!) but the people who whine about having to pay need to grow up and move out of Mom’s basement. Do you work for nothing? Do your parents? Pay the developers for their work, especially all you five star reviewers. I didn’t care for this, but you did. Pay up!
cannedpizza,
I’m going to break all the pots
This is my first experience with the Faraway games and I really enjoyed myself. I’m no slouch at point and click puzzles so, while the puzzles themselves were pretty straightforward, I love the extra depth and challenge of finding all the secret notes.

I just finished the free portion of the game and will happily pay for the rest. For those people saying they never pay for games, let’s be honest, you’ve spent way more on way less. This game alone costs less than a fast food meal with far more enjoyment.

Also, you sound like snotty children who expect everything to get handed to them without any inconvenience to you. People work hard to make well structured, clever games and they should be paid for their time and energy, just like everything else in this world. This is actually a very good price for what you’re getting.

In any case, I’m enjoying myself and I’ll be looking up the previous Faraway adventures after I finish this one.

P.S. I don’t know why it’s so satisfying to break these pots but I’d buy a mini game of just that: find and break all the pots.

How refreshing
The graphics are simple but still interesting. The world you are allowed within feels crisp and relaxing. How rare it is to find something that challenges your intellect without violence or drama. Not as hard as an escape game but that's not the point. It's not supposed to have an intro. Just relax.
I did not read all the journal notes. There may be something bad written there, I don't know. The music is also relaxing and the puzzles were not too hard. I am referring to all of the games in the Faraway series, the free versions only.
I am sure the puzzles get harder as you go, I just don't have the money right now. I would love to have full versions off all. They are art.
JudyQFU,
This one was fun
Not too hard if challenges stress you out. No need for walkthroughs or hints. Just don’t overthink it. Sometimes I just want to relax without driving myself crazy trying to understand what the developer could possibly be thinking. And let’s face it. Some escape puzzles have convinced me that the developer was an alien with different thought processes than humans.

These puzzles had a logic to them and the gameplay was smooth. And you don’t get bombarded with ads every 90 seconds.
Ms_T1gger,
Finally!
First Snapbreak Games game I rated a full “5” rating. Out of the four faraway games I played, this is the only one allowed me to say 100% completed. I did not do anything different with #4 than 1-3, but those did not allow me access to all notes or bonuses. Loved this one due to the different puzzles compared to the first three games...way to go! I am not sure If Snapbreak Games will make more in this numbered Faraway series, but they definitely have a guaranteed customer.
Uncle Fecal,
One of my all time favorites
It’s always a pleasant surprise to find that you’ve created another in the series. I enjoy how it gets progressively harder as you go along, relying on you learning how things work early on to help you later. My favorite part is figuring out where the last note is hidden before moving on. You keep creating them, I’ll keep playing them! PS....There’s something very cathartic about breaking all those vases!
