Fotocast v2 is here! This is a MAJOR update with a lot of new improvements, bug fixes, and other changes. Here's the highlights of what's new: There is a better UI throughout the app, and easier to use, especially on the Sun + Moon direction tool. Speaking of that, the Sun + Moon direction tool now automatically rotates based on which direction your phone is facing in real life, and the time automatically updates based on your current time! This update also gets Apple Watch support, so you can see the weather on your Apple Watch after you connect it to the app. Moon rise and moon set times are now on the main screen, and speaking of the main screen - you can now fully customize that tab to hide items you don't want, or show ones that you do. The hourly views now have sunrise and sunset times next to the graphs and it's also now easier to directly contact us in the app. My Photo Spots should now work flawlessly, and also there are a lot of new options for what you can do with that. Photo Inspiration screen will now automatically load to the correct category for the type of photographer you are and current weather condition. App USED to Work
This app used to work. Now whenever I select a location it automatically quits out. I e tried restarting my phone. I’ve tried resetting my phone. Even tried deleting this app off my phone and reinstalling it multiple times. Tried setting the app to use my location and also not use it - failed. Tried setting push notifications off, and on - still failed. I loved this app; what happened to it?!? Did you guys write in some algorithm that disables use after a certain number of uses without purchasing it? Seems like it to me, and just when I started to like it...

Great Features In The New Version!
I love the new Sky Command Tab. Set against beautiful backgrounds the information is concise and useful. The Sun and Moon location tools overlaid on my position make planning much easier. Directly above is the Golden Hour, Blue Hour, Nightfall, and Dawn Times. It’s great for daylight shooting!
For nighttime photography the Aurora tab tells me if the Northern Lights will be visible. Combining that with the Moon Phase, and Weather sections, and you know the odds of an Aurora vigil paying off.
This app replaces several other apps I’ve bought. The subscription is reasonably priced. All told, this is an app well worth the investment for anyone interested in either photography, or the outdoors!

WARNING! More bugs than usable features
Attempt to edit gear causes app to force close.
Address search results in “my photo places” cannot be selected and improperly displays in user interface.
Use of the camera in the “my photo places” results in force close of app.
In app support fails to send on both WiFi and cell connections without any indication and requires that you delete your support message to go back to the app.
I used this on the iPad Pro 11. I have no doubt that this list does not represent the entirety of bugs present in this application. I experienced a force close for the first 5 features I tried to use and decided it best to remove the application and put a warning to future users.
The app looked promising but turned out like every other poorly coded, subscription or micro transaction apps that litter the App Store. Rest assured knowing that the subscription creation/ in app purchases is functioning properly. You will have no issue getting the app to accept your money, but this is a near complete list of functioning features, generously made available through this app.

Does it work
I do landscape and astrophotography and it says partly cloudy when there is not a cloud in the sky. It does show my location on the map but not sure about the forecast. I will continue to use it along with other weather apps.

A Must-have for any photographer
If you are going to use a weather app and you are a photographer, why not use one designed just for photographers? I found this to be even more accurate and useful for my photography business than other top rated weather apps.

Best weather app for photographers but new version crashes when opening
Love the app and use it everyday. But the latest version crashes upon opening. Posting it here because I am not able to send a support ticket from the app.

Crashes and will not work
The app installs well and asks to locate for forecasting, etc. when you give approval it follows by crashing and continues to crash with every activation thereafter. Looked hopeful but ultimately only a scandalous heartbreaker. Don’t waste your time on false promises.

Awesome app for photography!
I use it everyday and it has never let me down in planning out my photography. The weather forecasts are spot on, but there’s so many other tools and features that are incredibly useful.
