seasjay,
Need more in game information
I enjoy the game, but it is frustrating how little information there is explaining the game. The tutorial is worthless. It only shows the most basic things that are easy to figure out on your own (moving, fighting). What do the icons mean? Does an apple core mean I’m hungry or that I’m full? What does a sword with a number next to it mean? Is my weapon deteriorating?
Every potion starts unidentified. When you drink one, the game should at least tell you what the affect was. I usually have no idea what it did.
There seems to be a way to dodge. Is it automatic? If it’s manual How do you do it?
I enjoy exploring a game and finding new monsters, loot, places. I don’t enjoy trying to figure out game mechanics.
cop10d,
Worth it
I found this game through Reddit and love what the developer did with it. I haven’t played much but can tell it would be a wonderful time passer with no adds and addictive game play. It’s also nice that you can set it down and pick right back up in a run.
I haven’t played many games like this and it made me realize how much I enjoy rouge like games. Its totally worth it for the price with no persuasive in app purchases.
The only con I’ve found is not playing it. 😀

For developer
**These are all suggestions, and I don’t know how hard it would be to add them but the game is perfect right now (so don’t feel obligated/urged). I got what I payed for and I’m not qualified to tell a developer how to make their game.**

If I could change some things about the game it would probably be adding blue (or whatever color) squares on the map to see items you’ve interacted with. Maybe a difficulty level system (Eg. sandbox, easy, medium etc.) or getting awards on the main screen to use on themes for the dungeon. Or maybe even adding a use for the exit button on the bottom left of the main screen.
I also second the review that suggests the ability to sell at shops.
AppDude27,
Great Dungeon Crawler
The game holds up well, despite being 9 years old on the AppStore.

Overall the combat is smooth, controls are simple, and the gameplay is fun for quick sessions.

I do have some critiques:
1. The character select screen should allow you to swipe between characters as well as hitting buttons.

2. Going into the weapon management description feels like a lot of extra steps to check if my weapon is stronger or not than the others.

3. No real sense of story besides the quotes for each item.

Overall I’m enjoying play playthrough so far. Definitely worth the couple of dollars. Thank you for not doing in app purchases. Great game!
Ste87,
Beautiful and crisp…but why no mage?
This game has beautiful art and a fantastically intuitive touch interface. It features a rogue, a ranger, and a warrior…but no mage. Given that there is an intelligence stat and wands, I find the lack of a mage class odd. There could also stand to be a few more perks and skill tree items relating to magic. When I play a roguelike RPG, diversity of play styles is important to me, especially in a game that does not have metaprogression. Beyond the magic, my only other gripe is no dial wielding. Other than these, it is a perfect game. Why there are not more First Person Dungeon Crawler Roguelikes is beyond me!

Wonderful little dungeon crawler
The perfect game to kill some time with, given you have the focus for it as this game needs your full attention despite being turn-based.

I love it and it plays to my meticulous and methodical play style. I just beat Rogue and am looking forward to the other classes. Amazing game you got here so far as I look forward towards its further development.

My only suggestions:
- When a chest is opened, please have the marker of it on the map disappear as when I drop items on an opened chest, it still shows it as unopened.
- Cosmetic unlockables with progression. Even though we don’t see our player character, some neat little bonuses that are completely cosmetic for even failed runs is nice.
- Selling would be neat but I think it was addressed you would add that in the future.

Again, amazing as this was made by one person for the game and one for the music. Well done. Vinny recommended me here.
Svenwardo,
I can see some people really getting into this game, but it’s not for me.
The game is pretty difficult, which would be no issue if it presented newer, exciting things/features the further down you went, but that’s not really the case. The only things that change are the visual design of the levels and monsters, but the gameplay mechanics and everything else is the same.

The most difficult aspect is dealing with hunger, since finding food is completely up to chance and can end your whole run if you’re slightly unlucky.

Overall, repetitive and highly difficult for low reward.

Fun Dungeoncrawler
I’ve played for a few hours and gotten some form of a win I think!

I enjoy the simplicity and art style a whole bunch. The added depth of skills and enchanted equipment makes each run feel a little different and interesting.

While I like the simplicity I think some systems could communicate what they do better. I’m not 100% sure what each stat means or affects, but through some trial and error I’m piecing it together. I don’t Knock-out it for this, but it’s something I’d love to see in an update!
hankbear,
Good game.
I was invited to beta test this game by the developer. The game is fun, good sound effects. Nice to pick up and play but can put it away when needed and jump right back.

I would like to sell inventory items. I hate dropping stuff. But that is just me.

Have made it to floor 5 one time. The game is tough. Kind of fun but also very frustrating. It is the game I go to a lot right now. Considering the Steam version as well. Would like a real Apple TV version that would be great.
YETii Roguelikes,
Amazing Roguelike
Addictive gameplay, developer absolutely nailed style art and audio. As a long term fan of roguelikes, this is what dungeon crawling on mobile should feel like.

Only suggestion I can give is there’s got to be a cleric or mage class. Magic users are a little under-represented in the lineup. Hopefully you can find a balance in how to incorporate mana/magic to the gameplay.
Leinstein42,
Tight design, smooth gameplay, addictive sessions
Really can’t complain with this smooth, tight, and addictive dungeon crawler. A classic crawler in the vein of Eye of the Beholder or more recently Legend of Grimrock, Gloomgrave updates the formula with some fun rogue-like elements. This keeps the sessions short and fun, and makes every run feel fun and unique. Hoping to see more content soon, but so far, I’m loving it!
