Awesome app
My wife and I are loving how easy the app has made our lives.
Sharing reports with our doctor has never been greater. One curve the doctor threw at us was not being able to pull up specific criteria such as any results from one specific meal. For example, he wanted to look at just the lunch results for a specific period to get a mid-day average as opposed to an overall average. What I might suggest is a search function be added to the app. This will allow us to search and find trends for specific meals.... Overall, great job to everyone who worked to make our lives as diabetics manageable! Let’s try out a search algorithm....please. We have recommended the app to several friends and family members who all share the same support so keep up the great work!
imthedriver,
I keep coming back for a reason
I have been using Glucose Companion and then Glucose Companion Pro for iPad since early 2014 and I will say it is an excellent, solid, basic app (and I have tried most of them). While I have explored other options when there are updates that leave me frustrated, I seem to always come back. I like the ease in putting in my information and the clean visual interface and my doctor likes the clear reporting.

I would love to see several enhancements that I think could be of benefit. - First, adding a box with an estimated A1c based on glucose levels would be enlightening and possibly encourage more accountability. This, along with the ability to add and track actual A1c lab values would give a more complete understanding of diabetes management. - The ability to enter and track ketone values would also be helpful and perhaps even life saving, in the event of keto-acidosis. - Also helpful would be the ability to input long and short acting insulin dosing (not just as a note) and have it be usable information that would correlate with my glucose values. A bonus would be if it were graphable so that I can visually see the impact.

I appreciate what Maxwell Software has created and look forward to what is to to come! Thank you!!

A Very Good App
This is a very good app! I’ve used it now for three years and very pleased. I’m able to generate reports for my doctor that track my diabetes. Both of us are pleased because the reports enable us to discuss my health & how I’m dealing with diabetes.
The company has made recent updates to the app and while some are good a couple have caused me some heartburn. For some reason they have decided to put in a preprogrammed daily meal schedule that takes precedence over what you input CURSES.!,! You have to input what you desire twice to get it done right.
Next they have used a min / max to set the limits of the graphs, this then if you have one reading extremely high causes your charts to flatten out so to speak. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!
Wdav,
Very good app for me.
The best part of this app is the simplicity of it.
Easy entry, enough useful data and very good displays of your data. I’m sure there are other apps that have lots of data if you want to spend the time filling out lots of input. This one, however, is EXACTLY what I want - simplicity of entry and great visuals of trends.

This would be 6 stars if it could “synch”. It has backup and restore but that is completely different than synch. I have three devices and each one has different data because I use them differently and it is quite inconvenient having to go to each one to input each reading of my glucose.

Good App, But iCloud Sync Cumbersome
Is there even support for this app any more?? I have used this app for many years. I believe it is the best for viewing data. I prefer it on my iPad for this reason, because I can see at a glance the glucose readings, graphs and averages all on one screen. The one thing I wish was better is the iCloud sync. With most apps syncing automatically between devices, this one requires you to "back up to the cloud" on one device, and then "restore from cloud" on the other device. It doesn't automatically share the entries between the two like all of my other apps do. Data has to either be entered on both devices, or manually backed up. I’ve requested this fix for years. It makes the app cumbersome, and turns a potentially great app into just an average one.
jtu3,
Is there a problem?
Very easy to use and I like the ability to generate reports for my doctor. As a type 2 who fortunately doesn't need insulin, I appreciate that unlike some apps it doesn't demand insulin dosage and detailed carb calculations: it just tracks my daily readings reliably.

Within the last few weeks, though, when I ask it to back up to Dropbox it immediately crashes. iCould backup works fine, and Dropbox backup does too, but only on the iPhone version, not the iPad version. I'm hoping that issue is a temporary glitch which an update will fix.

Great App for Monitoring Blood Sugar
I really enjoy using this app for monitoring my blood glucose levels. It helps me keep track of my medication and daily eating habits as it relates to my blood sugar levels. I can create a form or chart and email it to my doctor’s office so I do not have to print a copy to bring with me on my doctor appointment. This is great because my printer is no longer working. I recommend this app to everyone with blood sugar issues. Great app! 👍

Just what I was looking for.....
Easy and simple to use, keeps me on top of my levels and weight....only wish there was another "Average", one for 3 months progress and also another column to keep track of your blood pressure. I think that would give you a more accurate look at what's going on.... also is there a way to delete old entries without having to delete each line in order to restart again? I stopped using the app but want to restart with a clear record. Couldn’t find anyway to delete all entries.
TustinBen,
Good & Simple
This app works well for tracking blood sugar and weight. It gives you a short (10 reading) average, and that is one thing I’d like to see changed. The average should be much longer - ideal would be 3 months, like the A1C. The other thing missing is the ability to (simply) track food intake. Since there is a place for notes, I jot a short note on what I ate, and that suffices. The last problem is that there is no way to print out any reports. Despite all that, this is my preferred app for tracking my glucose.
Thebaldone42,
Great way to keep track of glucose
Been using this app for a few years now. Tried other ones, but keep coming back to this one. Love the fact that I can print out a report and take to doctors office when I need to. Wish it would let you set parameters for twice a day, instead of just one. Would like to see 130 setting for morning before eating and 180 setting for after 2 hours after eating.
