Mooned by WU Associates,
Outstanding App!
I am using this for my newly diagnosed dog with type I DM. This app is perfect for daily home monitoring, as well as for doing a blood glucose curve using a glucometer made for pets. We are not able to pay the extraordinary sums of money needed for an over night hospital stay for serial glucose monitoring needed for the blood glucose curve. Also, frequent office visit is cost prohibitive. Veterinarians all agree that this study is mandatory to help get & keep your pet’s blood sugar under control, as well as twice daily monitoring. On my wish list for this excellent app is to include on the blood sugar graft when a meal is given and when the insulin (in units) is given. This would yield more useful info for even more accurate blood sugar monitoring. Again, thank you very much for this “Top-flight” app! Good luck to all who must depend upon it. Gene D
MizzYo,
Used to love it
I love the convenience of this app. The reminders are helpful and I like being able to choose the entry details I’m regarding my glucose readings. However, lately I’ve noticed that the app doesn’t update my weight accurately. I’m on a weight loss regimen and I enter my weight weekly. The app was accurately storing this data daily and then would continue to update it after I entered my new weight at the end of the week. Unfortunately, I have to manually adjust my weight to my current weight each time I enter my new glucose readings. The weight entry used to stay the same during each glucose entry until I entered the new one. It doesn’t do this now, instead it goes back to the weight entered a week prior. I attempted to get this resolved with support but not only did they not understand my problem, after explaining it several times, it’s still not resolved. Very frustrated with App Support! I would expect Support to know how their app works and fix any glitches.
hm1time,
Update 2021: Diagnosed w/diabetes July 2017, using tracker since.
I've been very satisfied with the tracker and it's ease of use. I use it daily and it has helped me tremendously. Changed my diet, used tracker to log readings, and my A1c went down to a normal level. I recommend it to anyone who needs an app to log in data with easy access. Btw, for it to keep track of weight accurately you need to change weight in tracker, as well as health app and Apple Watch app.

I’ve continued using the tracker and it is a helpful tool. I have times when I forget to update it for a few days and entering the information reminds me how I’m doing and whether I need to be more diligent. I’ll keep using it!
Heiliner,
Outstanding Glucose Recorder
I have been using this App for years and being a diabetic almost daily. First off it is a simple program to use. I record the glucose meter number and then using Swiftkey almost automatically record the medications I am taking. Glucose Companion creates simple graphs which are easy to present to medical doctors. I generally record data on the iPad and about once a week using iCloud, I transfer that data to my iPhone. The key features of this App is that it is basic, easy to use, and has almost never had a software crash. For me, seeing the up and down progress of my glucose count, Glucose Companion is a real motivator for me personally to watch those carb intakes.
Knuddy4140,
Fantastic
There is only one word to describe this App and that is Fantastic. I have been using this App for the last couple of years. It is so easy to use and when I go to the Doctors Office I always print out a report for the Doctor. I am a retired military veteran and my Doctor has told all of her patients about this App and now a lot of them are using it. I have shared this App with every veteran I know from the local VA Hospital and the feedback is that everyone thinks the App is Outstanding. Thank you Maxwell for helping our Military Veterans. In addition I would also like to recommend to everyone your Blood Pressure App. That App is also Fantastic.
Mp3049,
Great App
This is a handy, easy to use, comprehensive App for those of us that have Insulin dependent diabetes. It makes my life a lot simpler in helping me to keep track of and record my readings. I use the note section to record what insulin & how much I administered as a result of my glucose level. Also, anything out of the ordinary I may have eaten or drank, i.e. a couple of glasses of wine at dinner. I have to find any bugs but, I haven’t tried the emailing of &/or printing reports but, I don’t anticipate any problems.

As an antidote: I don’t identify myself by any illness. I am not a disease. I am a person.
smithdavidson,
Good user interface and app syncing is missing
Nice app but it lacks some features

1. The multiple apps available do not operate from a single app. I use both the blood glucose app and the blood pressure app but have to open two apps to enter data? Further the weight entry appears in both and is not synced across the two unless you manually enter it twice. Clumsy user interface that could easily be corrected.

2. The single app should be available on both an iPhone and iPad and it should automatically sync when connected to the same wireless network or through the apple cloud. Many people have both devices and you should be able to seamlessly move between the platforms.
Mwwiii,
Reliable, Easy to use and very Useful
I have been using this Glucose App for several years now. It has continued to keep faithful track of blood sugars and other information which I enter into it. It creates a listing of any portion of my glucose record I need to prepare for my endocrinologist and creates easily understood charts and graphs showing my progress and presenting a running average of any portion ( or all ) of my record I choose. It can send a PDF file via email or printout as I choose.
Entering a blood sugar into the app is easy and intuitive. There is an option to write a note attached to any reading and you can browse and edit any entry.
A Great App!
Sjnrsn,
Awesome App BUT...
This app is truly awesome but, for me as a diabetic finally getting my sugars under control after 20+ years of out of control elevator readings! Being able to set my personal highs and lows helps me set attainable goals and not be so easily discouraged when my sugars don't quite fall inside my goal numbers.
My issue lies in the weight part of the app, it doesn't quite work with the health app like the rest of the app does, which is a shame because the two apps work so well together except there. The app also doesn’t update my weight properly all the time. It would be 5 stars if not for that!
J for the camera,
Suddenly a Subscription Service
I loved this app, and I purchased it for a one time fee. Then suddenly I receive a message that says they can no longer support the app with the one time fee, and I need to subscribe to a yearly $9.99 charge to use all the features of the app. That is some ridiculous nonsense!
I’ve had apps from other developers that changed from a one time purchase fee to a yearly subscription, but the change only impacted NEW USERS! If you had already purchased the app when the terms were a one time payment, the switch didn’t affect you. In my opinion that’s what a reputable company would do.
I’m very disappointed, and will no longer be recommending this other great glucose tracker.
