Amazing story Writing
I’ve played a huge amount of Gacha style games. Normally I gravitate towards the mature, busty or mech style games. I decided to take a chance on this game. I am glad I decided to try it. The art is beautiful, the English localization is very well done as well as for the first time in years I actually care about the story of a gacha. It’s fun trying to collect and build up a party of characters from fairy tales, folklore, and famous fiction around the world. The game has multiple areas of gameplay. You can grind out materials to level up gear, skill trees, stat trees and characters. There is also a *10 chance to refill pull near the beginning 10 times to try to get a character you want. The game is generous with keys in the beginning but once you run out you will be at the mercy of time. I find myself painfully waiting till my energy is restored so I can dive deeper into the adventure.
My only gripes are I wish energy recovered slightly faster, there was a dungeon or endless tower I could grind for rewards or gear as gear has its own pull banners and it’s hard to come by in stages. Would be nice if there were prismatic memory shards you could earn through questing or grinding as once you get a 5 star character of your liking the odds of getting another copy/memory shard of them is unlikely.
Please keep up the Amazing work and writing you’ve done on this game.

Needs QOL
Turned into a “the last straw” moment with the game and finally uninstalled after playing since launch. The artwork is beautiful, and the devs really seem to care a lot about this game, so I would definitely check it out. Be warned, the Gacha rates are abysmal.
Played since launch and I never managed to pull any new 5 star banner characters. My 5 star team all came from the vindicated spirits banner, which does not contain new characters. I had been stuck for almost a month on the Halloween event, despite a nearly full level 70 squad. That took an extremely long time, because leveling any character in this game basically means you put all of your resources that day towards this one character that you’re working on. You can’t really experiment with many other characters because of this.
Actual last straw was pulling five times from a special Gacha, which promised a five star within five pulls and the pool included new five stars that I did not have. Pulled 5 times, no five star. I thought this was a bug and went to the discord to report it, but apparently within five pulls actually means the sixth one after you do five. When I finally did receive the five star from that gacha, it turned out to be a dupe of one of the old ones from the old banner that I did not even use.

Has potential
Wrote a more in-depth review but I think it got lost somehow. This game has unnecessarily hard events, very unfriendly to newer players and even those who’ve been playing for a while. I really don’t like that over all the cons this game has. If you spend you’ll probably have a greater time then those who don’t. The one time purchase for a account long pass thing is pretty nice but I can’t help but wonder if this game will last a while or not.
Most pull currency will be gotten by log in rewards rather than playing the game. It gives a nice amount of standard banner pulls, but the sources don’t really refresh and standard won’t give limited units. They do over time add units to the standard banner, but it’s a trickle. Only pull if you have enough for a spark, despite what you may think. I regret not saving.
The art is pretty nice although inconsistent. Some characters are drawn better than others. The story isn’t bad or typical, but is nothing special. The dungeon thing where you get equips will eat your stamina even if you fail, which I loathe. It’s so unnecessary, even if it has a practice mode it’s just a time waster the way they implemented it.

Unfortunate but understandable situation
I want to start with the game itself is very fun. What little amount I did get to play it was enjoyable. Unfortunately as everyone is pretty aware the game has had an awfully rough launch. The thing is this kind of stuff does happen. Our world isn’t perfect. My reasoning for the 5 stars is because the developers have been 100% transparent and VERY quick to give updates on what’s going on. They didn’t sugar coat it or just give a half made apology. They did not sleep and tried their very best to correct the issues. They also even had an amazing compensation for this situation. With all the hate they are getting they do deserve the positivity. Stuff happens and I think based on their situation they handled it better than most companies who just leave their consumers in the dark for days!! We appreciate the communication and the humanity!! It reminds us the developers are people too!

Gorgeous Concept, Entitled New Players
Gorgeous art, cute character sprites, a good auto battle system. User interface is appealing and easy to navigate. I look forward to this games growth! Particularly new characters! - I hope for more masculine and fantasy monster-ish like The Beast- but all are wonderful!!

It is VERY new and most of the other reviews lack any empathy in understanding that the launch was bigger than they expected- resulting in down servers and maintenance to fix it all. I’d rather have a game and dev team that takes time for maintenance when they see room for improvement than ones who just patch for a quick fix.
Additionally, people asking for more free items for “compensation” during maintenance and rating low over it are the peak of entitled. This game is NEW new, there are always hiccups on launch. The game working wonderfully and them caring about our play experience should be enough. I genuinely hope they DON’T send out maintenance gifts, the response from a lot of new players proves they don’t deserve it.

Horrible Management- Horrible Game
This game is a travesty of a Gacha. It takes all the bad aspects of gachas and somehow twists them into something worse. There is an extremely low income amount for f2p, as in not enough to even hit the 100summon pity mark, which also resets every new banner (no carryover pity system) there’s also no spark either or any type of currency you usually get for store items from summoning. Dupes are also extremely not f2p friendly (usually is but this is the worst case I’ve seen) and you need a total of 9 dupes to max a unit. That’s 10 total pulls for 1 unit with income being weeks to get 1 multi. Also there’s pvp but it’s unbalanced in every way. Not worth playing, not worth installing, not worth the headache. Devs are also very incompetent when it comes to releasing anything or fixing anything and there’s 0 (literally 0) news of anything till a day or before usually or when maintenance is almost over. Still have units that are bugged so bad you can’t use them after weeks. Horrible experience with horrible devs.

Despite launch problems and server issues, there’s a good game somewhere in Grimlight.
The first day was definitely a fiasco, 24 hours of maintenance before finally getting a stable game, and we are still having a few server issues, but most everyone is able to play. The developers were very vocal from the start, giving updates almost every hour as to when we would be able to login again. Not to mention the free 5 star and 24 pulls that came along as compensation.
Besides that, the lore and art are done very well, might be some of my favorite art out of any gacha.

The game is very generous with free pulls and pity is 100 pulls which is pretty low compared to some other games.
The combat is eh, it’s chibi art PriCon style almost, however placement of characters matters to an extent, and there seems to be a good bit of strategy involved.

Terrible experience
I get it you are a premature company, but taking time for a good launch is much better than an early launch with bunch of craps. I mean you are a game company, how do you way underestimate the playerbases at launch, you should have taking notes already after all that many gacha games launch, despite the popularity or not? Game is unplayable, even after 24hrs maintenance, enter the game, consistency crashing, bugs, glitchings, etc... kills my moods and interests. Gameplay is not even that good and polished, and we are talking about the year of 2022, it looks meh and the rate 1.5% is pretty low for a gacha game. I kinda like the art and communication so I will give you a star for the effort. Otherwise, I won't bother wasting my times on the game with this much terrible experiences at once. I hope moving forward you guys will do much better job than this, if you hoping for a long term playerbases on your future releases.

No quality of life!
Keys are your stamina and you will use all of them daily to run perhaps 1 resource level 8 times (@ 21 keys per run) to get say xp, which you need to feed into a character because they don’t earn any xp for beating any of the levels so the resource dungeon is the only way to level them up. The same goes for the gold resource dungeon because of course you need gold to pay for the xp crystals you used… you will almost never have enough keys mid to late game to do anything which means you will need to run the gold resource dungeon to spend that gold in the shop for keys so you can run anything else… Where is the QOL?
Also, the daily xp limit of 2000 for the pass hinders your ability to collect all of the resources if you can’t log in everyday to earn 2000 xp towards it. Just remove the daily cap so if I earn 5000 xp in a day and miss a couple log ins I still have a chance. Don’t penalize me because I am a working adult also in school and don’t have the time to play everyday.
Overall I like the characters and their designs!
However, I don’t see myself playing this game long term with the unnecessary grind on resources and the limitations on daily progression.
There are too many other gacha games with much more freedom to play the way you want and also with better player QOL!

Great game despite launch issues
While there were launch issues for around a day or so, the actual game itself is really well-made, has great art, and plays well. It takes inspiration from a bunch of different gacha games but is unique in its own right, and the characters are nearly all direct references to fairy tales, like Goldilocks and such. As someone who has played many gacha games before, the rates are very fair, and having a pity system is nice as well. Additionally the story is well-told and seemingly deep while also not being overly long and a constant exposition dump, so overall a really solid game.
