Currently in order to control multiple lights you need to manually set all lights to a single channel. Set the color. Then change the channel manually of the lights which you want to stay that color. So if 2 of the lights are the color i want and all 3 are on channel 11. I will change the channel of the lights i want to keep to 9 then the remaining light can be changed to a new color.

The problem is when you change the channel in the app the channel of the light changes as well. This is pointless. The channel of the light should be changed manually with the buttons on the light. The channel of the app should only effect which lights are being controlled. It should not change the channel that the light is set to. Please fix and it will be a 5 star app.

I paid nearly $400 for a set of these a few years back. I only recently opened them to try using for live streaming. I can’t find ANY helpful information how to get them to work properly. Tried BOTH these GVM mobile apps. I’m just SHOCKED for the cost they are not more user friendly. The connection making its own wifi? Seems just like a bad design. I am stuck with one color brightness and no way to navigate or use different “effects” as advertise on that page in the menu I can’t switch from “Lightning” Very disappointed I thought I had some high quality lights put up for when I needed them.

Just connect the mobile phone to WiFi, and my light can be controlled.

A connection hints will pop up at startup. Follow its steps, and I can quickly control my light. Thank you

It’s good,I can control my lights

I’ve been trying to connect my lights for the past 4 hours without success. I regret buying these lights cause this app is garbage and no one seems to be working on it.

I like these lights, and this App helps me control them well.

The app works great for controlling a single light. I got 2 of the 560as lights for $70 each and it's truly amazing that you can get led panels of this quality with wireless app control for such crazy low price. So major props to GVM. The only negative, as another reviewer mentioned, is that you can't currently control multiple lights from a single device. The app allows you to switch between different channels, which is clearly for the purpose of switching between different lights, but it doesn't work. You can only control whichever light is powered on first, and changing to a different channel has no effect. So if you're listening GVM, please update the app to allow for multi-light control!

But all that said, I really can't complain much given the incredible value you're getting here. 4 stars for now, 5 stars if the app gets an update that makes channel switching work.

It’s not perfect, but I found a pattern to get to work. I have the 50RS 3-pack lights.

To connect you really need to do things in the same order every time. Assuming you’ve downloaded app, etc., first make sure app is closed. Turn one light on WiFi. Go to settings and connect to that light’s WiFi. Once connected open app. Switch device to RGB Light. It eventually connects every time for me, but you have to close the app and do in that order.

I found one light had a different WiFi password and I had to reset. That was tricky as I held to reset in a couple screens before apparently working.

I found the channels irrelevant. It changes that light no matter what channel I was on.

I cannot seem to control more than one light with app. I tried master slave setup but would not connect at all even with one on WiFi. I had to have all 3 lights on WiFi, then going back through those steps it always connects to just one, and not always the same one.

So it seems to work, tricky as noted, just be sure app closed, connect to light WiFi, open app, switch to
RGB Light, connects every time for me.

I love your products this app only has one tiny flaw: iOS automatically connect with a private MAC address every time it refresh his Wi-Fi. By default, this MAC address switching breaks the conversation between the light and the iOS device. I found control to be very smooth when connected, but the light could jump back to a pre-app-modified-state when the iOS device reconnected. Fix that tiny bug and you’re golden. Respond to this review when it is fixed and I will be your first five star review. As an app developer myself, I can’t imagine giving one star to this over such a tiny flaw. Keep up the great work.
