Making exercise a habit is a key factor in reaching your fitness goals and improving your overall health and wellness. While it can be difficult to get started, sticking with a regular exercise routine has many benefits, including increased energy, reduced stress, and a stronger body. So, how can you make exercise a habit and make it stick? Here are some tips to get you started.

Start small: If you're just starting out, keep it very simple. It's fine to start with one workout per week and gradually increase the number of workouts to two to three or four. This will make it easier to stick with your exercise routine and avoid burnout. Working out every day is not necessary! Not even in the long term. Your body needs time to rest between your workout sessions.

Set a goal: Having a specific goal in mind, such as losing weight or increasing your strength, can help you stay motivated and focused on your exercise routine. Write down your goal and keep it in a place where you'll see it every day, such as on your fridge or on your phone.

Create a routine: Establishing a routine is key to making exercise a habit. Choose a day and time that works best for you. Set yourself workout reminders in Gym Day. Whether you prefer to work out in the morning, afternoon, or evening, make sure to plan the workout upfront. This makes you commit to it.

Track your progress: Keeping track of your progress is a great way to stay motivated and see the results of your hard work. A workout tracker can help you track your progress over time. Gym Day is a free (yes, completely free and without ads) and simple workout tracker that can help you keep track of your workouts and reach your fitness goals.

Make it fun: If you're not having fun with your workout routine, it's a bit harder to stick with it. So, try to find ways to make your exercises enjoyable, whether it's through music, friends, or a fun workout video.

Find accountability: Having someone to hold you accountable, such as a workout partner or personal trainer, can help keep you motivated and on track. If you don't have someone in your life to hold you accountable, consider joining a fitness group or online community to connect with others who are working towards similar fitness goals.

In conclusion, making exercise a habit requires patience, persistence, and dedication. But with the right mindset and tools, it's possible to turn your workout routine into a habit that will improve your overall health and wellness. So, get started today and start making exercise a part of your daily routine!

Nnenna X,
Perfect and Simple!
I like this app because it’s very simple and does its job. I keep it in a noticeable place on my screen and it helps me prioritize my workouts and keep track of them :)
lannnnnnnnnnaaaaaaa,
Great, but want more
The only thing I dislike, is that there is no part of the app to type any notes of the day. I wanna be able to log my weight and/or what exercise I did that day. Other apps are too complex and i just want something as simple as this! A notes section would be amazing
Ollie's olives,
Simple and affective!
Thank goodness I stumbled upon such a great app! It’s pleasing to the eyes and simple to use. Cluttered workouts, What’s that?
After a week of having this app, I fell in love! Not only that, but I’m actually losing weight and keeping it off for good!

It’s relieving that there aren’t any sketchy “fat burners” or ridiculous exercises! And the best part? It’s ad free! It’s exhausting going through millions of random ads on apps these days, and it’s like a breath of fresh air have none.

The name is also very discreet, and there’s no shame in having Gym Day on your home page!

Thanks!

Too simple - not much there
I was looking for a simple tracker. This one could have been useful, but misses the mark. All it does is give you a calendar. What would be helpful, dear developers, is to add simple functionality to be able to record. What kind of workout you did. Otherwise, this isn’t very helpful. I can accomplish more with a giveaway paper calendar from Hallmark. Check out Try Dry for an example.

What I needed
Was looking for 1 tap gym log and this is very close to what I wanted.
I wish there was a calendar view in addition to the week view.
Also it would be awesome if there was at least 1 level of customization (like have 2 different colors) so that I could log gym days vs outside jogging days
MrsSulliArmyWife06,
Simple but great
This is exactly what I was looking for. I use my Apple Watch and MFP to track more detail but I wanted an app just to track when I exercised as motivation.
antwon504,
Fix the reminder.
App does exactly what I use it for which just to track the days I go the gym but the reminder sections doesn’t t show numbers to set a time to be reminded. Other than that W app!
gbideri,
Nice app!
Does it what it says it does. Wish they had a grid view with a monthly calendar to see the progress…
Brittany Skipper,
Great for accountability
I like to be able to see how consistent I’ve been in the gym. I do wish I could log more than four workouts a week. It’s very strange that you can’t do more.
j_na_nii,
Wish there were more amount of workouts
Cute, easy to use, but there’s a limit of five workouts for the weekly goal. I’d appreciate it if there were at least five or six as a weekly goal.
