Best fitness app that I’ve tried
Ive been training for over 20 years and I’d put myself in the intermediate/advanced category. My struggle is that I train very hard until I fry my CNS to the point where I have to take time off from the gym, and I’ve been looking forever for a fitness app to help with periodization to avoid this. Previously I’ve used excel sheets to calculate the intensity over the different blocks but this is super annoying. I’d have to go and manually update these templates before every workout and take a picture with my phone and it was basically impossible to track the workouts and for this reason I wanted an app that could do all of this. I’ve had bad luck. I don’t want to name any other ones here but I subscribed to one of the more popular ones and the workout recommendations I got from it were wild, and they kept changing. What I needed was an app to plan the progression for me to make sure that my programming was good and that I didn’t burn out. I wanted one where I could chose the exercises that I love and that work best for me but get help with intensity. If that is what you’re looking for; this is it.

Great App - effective and fun
This is a solid workout app. The premium features allow you to generate workout plans based on what areas of the body you’d like to focus (for example, you can leave all areas selected or choose to focus on glutes, hamstrings, back, etc. if those are lagging behind other body parts). One feature I love is you can tell the app what pieces of equipment you have available to you and it will provide exercises that correspond to the available equipment. I’m addition, if there are exercises that you do not like or do not feel right for your body, you can tell the app to avoid those all together. The app allows you to enter the weight and reps of the exercises and reminds you what you did for those the last time and suggests rep or weight increase. It takes a lot of the thinking and prep work out of the workouts so you can focus on the workout itself to get the most from it.

awesome app for workout logging
After years of writing my own workout plans in my notes on my phone with all sorts of little side notes about sets and reps and RPEs, it’s safe to say this app is a game changer! Completely customizable to fit your unique fitness goals. You enter in your weight, height, additional details, and goals, and you get a custom workout plan just for you. Then if you want to change anything on that plan you can. Swap any of the exercises for a different one (they have a huge selection of exercises to add), or change the order of the exercises. Add in supersets or drop sets, and you can even use advanced settings to apply progressive overload to your unique program through sets or RPEs.
All in all I’d definitely recommend this app to anyone :)

Great Program!
Perfect program for anyone serious about weightlifting, wether you are a beginner or an advanced lifter. The AI features are like having a trainer right there with you. I have tried several other programs but none were as good as Alpha Progression. Other programs have a lot of fluff, but this program has everything you need to take your lifting to the next level and further. I have been lifting for a while and would highly recommend this program to anyone else. I plan on staying with Alpha Progression for as long as I can lift. I’m not being paid for this review, just trying to help other lifters find a program that is truly worth using.

Next best thing to a personal trainer
This app is simply amazing! I was previously using an app with a very expensive monthly fee to access an online personal trainer who would recommend exercises and tell me how many sets/reps and at what weight to do them. I was not able to afford the expensive monthly fee so I started looking for an AI driven app that could come up with a routine for me and help me progress with my lifting. I found this Alpha Progression app and I will be sticking with this one for a long time. It is super intuitive and has built a schedule for me that gives me as good of a workout as the expensive app with the personal trainer. This one is a winner and I’m so happy I found it!

Get this app
Alpha Progression will be your new training partner. It combines the best features of a gym logger: customized plan creation, with periodization options, exercise instructions and HD videos, an extensive exercise library and progression recommendations. With AP, you can master exercises through repetition and see results with progressive loading. Plus the interface is easy and intuitive to use- but if you do have questions, there is a ton of help inside the app plus online forums that are mod by the app devs. If you’re serious about training- then or even just getting started- you need Alpha Progression to get the most out of your gym time.

Like having a personal trainer!
This app is just like having a personal trainer tailor workouts for you. I love that you are able to choose the equipment that you have access to, the number of days you would like to train, and the length of workouts, and it will generate a plan for you. You can track your reps, sets and weight, and if you don’t like an exercise you can easily replace it within your plan. There’s demonstrations of each exercise, and the built in timer makes sure your test periods are the correct length. This is a fantastic app for those wanting to weight train!

Solid and Effective
I have used a number of fitness apps over the years, including those which use machine learning to help adjust exercises and weights. So far, I would put Alpha Progression at the top of that list. It seems to me that the exercise is chosen, the weights adjusted once it knows where to start, and the overall approach gives me a better work out than the others I have tried over the years. I would highly recommend giving it a try for those who want to take advantage of the various ways that machine learning can help fitness and resistance training.

Solid tracker and tutorial
I’ve used several apps. Been mainly looking for a way of tracking my progress. This app not only tracks, but it shows you how to do the exercises. You can also create different profiles for your gym schedules. Sometimes I can only make it to the gym 3 days, sometimes 4 days. I like pulling from each profile, because it helps me find the right routine for that day. You can also replace exercises if they aren’t available. One suggestion: Allow users to add workouts to closed out days. This is an awesome app!

Love this app. Waiting for Apple Watch support
I was using another AI type fitness app for over a year and the workouts felt sporadic and somewhat random. In contrast, Alpha Progression is streamlined and consistent! AP routines feel much more like progressive overload routines I’d create on my own, but with smart recommendations on weights and reps. It’s much easier to see progress as exercises don’t change drastically WoW. I also love that I can choose to focus on a muscle group (or a few) as part of my routine without ignoring the other muscles. All I wish for right now is Apple Watch support for 5 stars. Can’t wait to see what features come next!
