FOR CLIENTS:

When you work with a wellness provider that uses Healthie, you’ll receive an invitation to create a Healthie account. The email that you use to create this account will allow you to log into your client portal from the web, or the Healthie mobile app. Together, you and your provider will be able to share data, and work together in real-time.

Optimizing medical records for private practices

As a small private practice of registered dietitians there are no shortage of barriers. Thankfully, Healthie offers a cost effective and user friendly app for both our providers and clients. Their support team is exceptional to work with and always takes feedback well. We know there’s room for improvement, and it’s been nice to see our requests come to life as we’ve brought them up in our meetings with Healthie. Highly recommend considering Healthie and encourage other private practices to set up an interview with them to learn more.

Severely lacking in every area

I find this app to be completely unacceptable, not just the user experience but the entire system. Every update introduces new bugs with no added features. These bugs, such as comments not being entered while the keyboard is up and comment entry styling randomly changing; are simple things that should have automated tests. As an application architect and enterprise security engineer I also find it impossible to believe the data storage is actually kept within HIPPA compliance standards.

As a user I find that even the good features are lacking in usability. One especially bothersome component is the mood selection when entering a food journal. There happens to be more than five human emotions and if that number can’t change for whatever reason they should at least be the five core emotions. The UX engineer needs to be replaced, the QA and testing departments need complete restructuring and probably get rid of everyone else in the process and leave application development to actual professionals.

No landscape view??

I utilize Healthie in my practice as my client management system. While I know that Healthie is working to improve their food tracking system, I fail to understand why the developers have not improved the app to display in landscape mode. Honestly, when many providers use iPads when meeting with clients/patients and use external/smart keyboards, how does any app these days only display in portrait mode?

Unfortunately, using the website isn’t a viable option either - functions like Chat don’t work as well on the site when using an iPad and external keyboard, and the video experience is better through the app. Please fix this to display in landscape mode!

It works great!

I am just getting started and chose Healthi because of what it offers and the price. It is working really well so far. It is easy to navigate for me and my clients. I am really liking it. Would it be a possibility to be able to create a widget for it?

Poor customer service

Poor customer service! I love the food journal, messaging and documents ect. However, customer service is horrible. I had 2 separate video chats scheduled, and both times we were unable to connect despite trying different browsers and having internet service. I waisted an 1 when it was suppose to be a 30 minute chat. Plus I had to provide a free chat so to keep face with clients. I submitted a help desk ticket, and they said they would look into it, and crickets. I contacted them several times and they ignored me. I am now in the market for a new EHR system as customer service is the #1 most important thing I look for as a professional. Systems crash and I understand, but the people behind the systems are the ones that keep the customers.

Previous meal is frequently stuck

I’d say about 15-20% of the time, when I go to log my next meal, the previous meal is still displayed on the screen. I have verified that the data did get logged, however the state information is stuck on the screen....basically old cached photo, description, etc.

Killing the app doesn’t fix it, I have to delete the old photo and replace it with a new one, type over the old text, etc.

It’s a frustrating bug because it leaves doubt as to whether the information was logged properly for the previous meal.

New update wasn’t for the likes of me

I liked this program a lot. I use it with my nutritionist. Sadly, I won’t get to use the app much because the new version was made with big phone screens. I’ll have to migrate back to my computer which makes it totally inconvenient. I like minimalist phones so I use a smaller screen size. Their update is now so fancy (takes up half of the screen) that on their main page the actual journal entries as seen from the main page only gets less than 1/4 of the screen real estate. It makes it impossible to edit or make comments from the main page. Sad. It was good while it lasted.

Very versatile and easy to use

Great interface with health professionals! This app is great at multitasking, makes communicating with health professionals very easy, and does a great job of streamlining your goals and progress. I would recommend for any coaching business and setup and even for independent use to track and record.

Please fix rotation in iPad app

Screen rotation doesn’t work in iPad app. I use mine with a keyboard, so it’s almost always in landscape orientation, but the app won’t rotate.

Also, the interface is a bit confusing — it’s not always clear what to enter where, and my provider sent me a data sheet with some information but it didn’t appear anywhere in my app.

Very frustrating

Every time I try to change the time on a food journal entry, i move the dial and when I let go, it goes back to where it was.
It won’t let me put more than one picture for an entry.
There are only 5 emotions to pick from and 2 of them are really similar-stressed and anxious. There is no sad. How do you not have sad?
Just generally, not a user friendly app. I wish my dietician didn’t use Healthie. I have a feeling there aren’t many options or she probably would have picked a better one.
