Amazing Game
Great game- I have been sucked into multiple stories at this point. Some critical reviews claim you have to pay; but that just isn’t true (at least not now.) You can purchase the game to support the company and authors; but you don’t have to. After every chapter (chapters are fairly long as well) you just have to wait a little bit, watch one short ad, and continue on. There are no paid choices like the ones Episode or other choose-your-adventure stories have and I feel like my choices have a significant impact on the storyline. One thing I particularly like is the Character menu. There you can see relationship levels with characters, world/character
information, and the personality stats that guide events. It is an all-around amazing game! The only thing I would want is to wipe my memory of the stories so I could go back and play them for the first time again.

Heart Of Battle
Amazing game with amazing replay ability, ROs, attention to detail in the spicier scenes based on our gender, different routes, fleshed out characters, a great plot, balance of sad, sweet, and satisfying. Heart of Battle is the one game I would purchase and play if none else. There’s few flaws and the things that are lovable about this game far outweigh them. It truly gripped me from start to purchase and is worth triple the asking price. I’ve almost never finished a Choice Game but this one got me to not only purchase because I couldn’t wait two hours to continue experiencing the amazing game, but also to reach to the very end. I’m sad it ended but so satisfied with everything about it. I sometimes get overwhelmed with these games and give up on them with no save option or guide, but it was amazing to just play. Great pace, great length, spicy scenes, romance, ending… I LOVED it. Need I say more? Buy the game!

Downloaded for DAWNFALL
I downloaded this app for Dawnfall and it was an incredible story presented in a clear and easy to follow format, with my choices affecting personal stats in the left column. I was able to play it in landscape mode on my iPad pro, which is my personal preference, but was also able to read in portrait mode.
The story is engaging, with ups and downs and surprises to thrill even the most joyless of readers. There is a wealth of choice in how you can exist within the story, AND in the representation of many genders and types of people. This is important in so many ways, for so many reasons, not least because of the validation you receive when you see yourself on the page. It’s priceless.
All of the characters are loveable and adorable and you’ll want to keep them with you long after the story is done. And played again. And again. And again. Because it can be told in so many ways, with so many variations... this will really be a treat for any avid reader.
I may eventually get around to the other stories included in the app, as well, but Dawnfall is what brought me and Dawnfall is what will keep me as I restructure the story time and again. I couldn’t ask for more. Six stars.

Delightful and thoroughly engaging, a rare five-star review for this tale of chaos, order, and the human—me—who got to enjoy playing his way through it all. I would have enjoyed a little more heat, but what there was was very well done. If I have any constructive criticism, it’s around the game engine: You should be able to undo a choice, if you immediately change your mind. No, that’s not how life works, but, also no, I don’t turn to games about hunky angels and smoking hot demons for reality. It’s tedious to have to replay when you are ambivalent about a choice and then immediately see the error of your ways. Putting that aside, however, great fun and well worth the cost of turning ads off! Bravo!

I have to say I think the variety of stories and who they cater to is wonderful. I’ve noticed a couple reviews mentioning their disappointment in the story that only allows for a m/f relationship and I can’t help but want to tell them to get over it. I started Dawnfall first and could honestly say that I have irritation with having to adjust my reading flow to one of the character’s non-binary pronouns (that I feel could have JUST AS EASILY BEEN ‘THEY/THEM’) but I’m not going to throw a fit about it and downgrade the app for it. If I had enough of an issue with it (which I don’t), I could just go and read a different game.... which is essentially the point of my review. This thing is DIVERSE and there is something for everyone. Appreciate that, and move on. Don’t degrade the review of an excellent literary game format because of your hang ups.

Good game, almost amazing!
I purchased brimstone manor and I immediately liked the writing. The story definitely hooks you in and keeps you on your toes. The writing is much better than other text novels that I’ve tried in this same genre. My one disappointment is that the last two chapters of the story felt like the writer gave up. The ending was lackluster and the last two chapters felt so incomplete or almost lazily written that it did not do justice to the amazing first half of the story. If there had been as much attention and depth given to the ending as there was to the beginning, this would absolutely have been a five star, amazing review. I might try another story or two but may not purchase it right away depending on if the quality stays more consistent throughout.

Having parsed through much of the romantically-involved titles from Choice of Games (the free ones, anyway) I was left looking for a little more to suit my taste for a bit of frivolous flirtation and flattery every once in a while, and on a broke budget, at that!
The stories I’ve delved in are simply chock-full of endlessly captivating worldbuilding, characterization, chemistry and, of course, intimate philandering, with many options and scenarios to choose from! Like the densely-packed and pristine battleground of legality in 1920s New York City, where you smoothtalk and saunter your way around (or through, for that matter) prohibition and to the heart(s) of your soon-to-be soulmate in Jazz Age.
Or, for a more theatrical, posher take on these games, delve into A Player’s Heart, where the world’s a stage for both political machination and the working cogs of one’s romantic fling.
While I am a little disappointed in the amount of stories, and less so by some of the stories’ lack of a selectable gender/sexuality, Choice of Hearts more than makes up for it in quality, creativity, and character. A must-have for fans of the genre, no-doubt!

Awesome app
Awesome and high-quality interactive fiction. Thought for the developers: consider redeveloping existing CoG titles as Heart’s Choice games, and selling them on HC in addition to CoG, for $1 more than they normally run under the CoG label. Users who have already purchased the CoG title can pay $1 to upgrade to the HC version with expanded relationship storylines, and users who haven’t already purchased it can pay full price. Would be a fairly easy and low-overhead way to quickly expand the HC catalog. Most CoG users would probably happily pay to upgrade existing games that they’ve already played and loved. Great job on the app and new label!!!

Where are all the straight male stories
I love choice of games stories, so when I saw they also had this app I got it. But when I looked though the stories, most of them either make you play as a female, with no option for a male player, or your a male player and you’re gay. There’s only 2-3 stories where you can play as a straight male. If I had known that this app is for lgbtq mainly, I would’ve just stuck to regular choice of games. And I know there’s going to be people calling me a homophobe for saying that, but I’m not saying take out the lgbt content, just add in also options to be a straight male. Nowdays all stories on choice of games include lgbt, so including us in theirs would interest more people and a variety of audiences who would support the author to make more content.
