New game! "The Soul Stone War"

You are a person on the run from your past, and no matter how far or fast you go, you cannot outrun your destiny. In this epic journey, it’s not just your life that hangs in the balance. Ancient artifacts of untold power are waking up from their millennia-old sleep, and whoever controls them will help mold the shape of your world.

The Soul Stone War is a thrilling 487,000-word interactive fantasy novel by Morgan Vane, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Embark on a journey of self-discovery, sacrifice, and heroism, meet the people that are bound to you through the threads of fate, fall in love or fall into despair. Will you rise up to the challenge that is to be a Soul Stone Wielder? Or will you allow the world to be shrouded in darkness? The choice is yours.

• Play as female, male, or non-binary; straight, gay, or bisexual.
• Be chosen by an all-powerful artifact—a Soul Stone assuming the form of eight different weapons and six different gemstones.
• Choose one of three different backgrounds, each one of them unique and providing different content for your roleplaying needs.
• Meet a cast of distinct characters—a prickly warrior, a mischievous she-elf, a half-dragon woman, a gentle noble with a dark past, and the mysterious antagonist. Forge friendships, or fall in love with each of them individually or in three different polyamorous relationships.
• Do battle with fierce enemies, grow in strength using your combat or magical prowess, your wits or persuasion. Become the Stone Wielder you’re meant to be against impossible odds.
• Immerse yourself in a world of magic, sacrifice, and love where your choices will determine the very fate of the world.

Your Soul Stone is waiting for you.

This game is so addicting because every character has been written with a complex inner world. So every interaction feels so loaded. Every decision has consequences, and the world building feels realistic, despite the whole super villain and hero setting. This is a story about identity, the rocky road to recovery, and learning to trust others in a world that feels as scarily hostile to our own. I’m pretty burnt out of the whole superhero genre, but Ryden has shown that with a lot of complex characterization, slowly uncovering secrets (even about the character you play as), and some very grounded exploration of what it’s like when your body is up for control in a world that is constantly clawing to overcome others, then a fresh story can still be told in this genre. I don’t want to make it seem the story is hopelessly depressing. In fact, it is also filled with characters that are kind, that are genuinely trying to break down the player character’s walls, and are trying to do the right thing in a messed up world that makes this such a satisfying game to play. I sincerely hope Ryden is proud of this story, and I look forward to more!

Community College Hero 2
As someone who’s been waiting for this game just about since the first one was released, I’m more than happy to say it exceeded my expectations!!

The first game did a good job of setting the world up and highlighting potential conflicts, and this one followed through perfectly on everything the first promised. Some of the stats get refined, which was a nice touch up since they’re easier to navigate than the first game. The length was great, the choices actually came into play, and while I’ve only done one run so far, I believe the replay value will be pretty high just because of the branching options the story offers at several points. You also really got a chance to flesh out just what kind of hero your MC is, so that was another bonus. On top of that, all the other characters’ personalities play perfectly against everyone else’s, and by the end of the game, I felt even closer to them than I did by the finish of the first.

Overall, probably the best middle installment for a series out of all the CoGs. Looking forwards to seeing how the series is wrapped up!!

Wayhaven Chronicles: Book Two
I had very high hopes for this sequel and it did not disappoint at all! The characters are their own and feel as if they could be real people you see in everyday life. There’s a plentiful amount of choices, so you don’t feel boxed into certain reactions or forced to pick between two extremes. The characters will actually change their attitudes toward you when you change yours. It also isn’t obvious as to how your decision will affect the storyline. If I had to pick an aspect I liked least, it would be continuity only because there are moments that feel short but somehow last an entire morning or afternoon (though that honestly doesn’t bother me much). Loved every second of my first play through and now I intend to start another :)

Hosted games, Choice of games, and Hearts choice
I’ve personally been enjoying stories on all these sights and it is incredibly fun and interesting to enjoy a piece of literature that you can select the outcome. When I play these games I play on mobile. That being said I have a few issues with the UI that you use.
When I put on dark mode in the app I want everything to be in dark mode including the menu and the top bar in the story. I love stories with replay abilities but there is no way to delete saves. Or depending on the story adding a save system you can use mid story so one accidental choice ruins your play through. I really enjoy these games but these things get on my nerves a bit. But out of all of those things I listed I really want to see the complete dark mode on Choice of games, Hosted games, and Hearts choice.

Breach: the archangel job
I have played a lot of games both by choice of games llc and hosted games and I have got to say... I have never read a story that was as good as this one. Every time I thought I was going to die I got lucky, and every time I thought I was going to succeed it never always went my way. I thought it was going to be very stereotypical when I started it, but it truly blew me away. It was funny and serious and always new how to keep me interested. All of the characters are unique and interesting in their own ways and they all have depth as well. This game is a true 10/10 for me. Even if you don’t like how the app works, I ask you to please just take the time and the few dollars it takes to enjoy this amazing story that still has more to come.

The Golden Rose
An amazing game! Beautifully written and detailed, in most titles I’ve played that has longer descriptions of the environment it’s felt tiresome and irrelevant, but in Rose the author has such talent that their writing brings you into the world of the game(as it should be considering it’s all written word)

If you want to play a game where everyone down to the passing background characters are interesting and well written then I would definitely give this story a try, it’s well worth the money!

The story is so, so interesting. I love how the main character even has their own background independent of your roleplay so that they feel part of the story instead of just an observer of events which can happen in some games.

It’s a long read with tons of places to explore and things to do so I highly recommend it. I’ve been waiting a few years since the demo released to play the full experience and I can tell you it exceeded my already high expectations.

I could go on for many more paragraphs singing the authors praises, but instead I’ll begin my next playthrough of The Golden Rose

Wayhaven Chronicles
The only reason why I downloaded this app was to be able to read this series “Wayhaven Chronicles: Book One.” My cousin recommended me to read it because of how well written and addicting this story has become. She definitely did not let me down as I began to read and began obsessing over this series. I love that the author lets us decide where the lead character goes and to whom she trusts or dislikes. The author has put a lot of thought and work into this series and it shows because of how great of a job she did. If you are interested in crime and vampires/super natural this is the book series for you!

Great in theory, bad in practice
Don’t get me wrong, I love having all of my games in one place that I can access “at any time” (when I have a Wi-Fi connection).

However, this, and the Choice of Games app, are very buggy, even after three years since their debuts. For one, my games never seem to track my purchases across devices. I’ve had three different phones over the last three years since downloading the app, and even with my account being the same through each one, I’ve had to email choice of games support to get my purchases back. Even on the choice of games website, after logging in, games I’ve purchased aren’t in my library.

My second gripe is that if I have the app open in the background, when coming back to it after a time, the app while restart whatever game I’m playing from the beginning, no matter how much I’ve progressed. I could be three pages in, or three pages til the end, and I’ll have to go through everything again.

I love every game this app has, and I’ll never delete the app, but I know you guys can do better. The omnibus apps have been out for way too long for these issues to still be present. Please, do better for your fans.
anonymous482628,
A great concept but needs much improvement.
I’ve been reading on this app for about a year now, and it was pretty good, aside from almost every story needing to be bought for 5-6 dollars. There were a few free ones that were really good, but now you have to watch an ad every 5-10 minutes to continue reading the story which is dumb. I get you need money to survive, but needing to pay 5 dollars to skip ads that pop up every 5 minutes on a “free” story make me not want to read that story. I’ve even started reading from choice of games, who have the same stories, except you don’t have to watch a ton of ads to ready stories like this. The stories are great, but too many ads. At least make the ads like the tiny ones on the bottom of the page like you guys used to only have.
Un union,
Good
So everything is perfect the games the set up the menus all of it the only one thing that gets me really really to the point of raging quitting deleting the thing and then re-downloading the app the next day is the fact that once you choose an option something bad happens and the other is checkpoint in the game however there are no buttons that say reload last checkpoint and that really really bothers me because then I have to restart even if I’m in the middle of the game and if I want a perfect game which I do sorry for you now I would love to have a reload last check. Maybe it’s because there’s something wrong with the coding or something that you can’t get it to happen like that but I would love to have something like that.
