tring trong ding dong,
Please take the arrows that show where to turn out!!🤬😡👎…
These arrows are always making me furious and it’s not just that, there are also the spikes and all random stuff beside both sides of the road, and why I hate them is because they are always making me crash and slow down all the way to exactly 0 Kmh when I am drifting. I also want to mention another problem which is that I matched up with a very annoying car when I am 2nd place that is always slower but more skilled than me every single racer and sometimes including me being less skilled than that car is and how I look at that car seems to me as if it’s a very slow looking car and this cars name is Rogerinho, and now I’m having car named Amir and whenever I beat this car it is always 0.20+ to 0.06seconds in time to complete the race and if these cars are robots please take them out even if they are easy to beat. One last thing I want to be included is changing kmh to mph in the settings beacause it is more accurate and it makes me happy to see the speedometer say 200+ miles an hour. Also, please take out that effect where you bump into a car and then it pushes much ahead of me. And also every review says something people want improved and what others and I wrote, do it🤬
Droid allows 0,
5-Stars but…
Positive: From a value perspective, this is one of the best games available. The graphics are amazing. Slightly more realistic than its predecessor while still maintaining the retro aesthetic. The gameplay is easy to pick up but still has a enough nuance for a more serious player. I’m still early in the game but if it’s anything like the original, I look forward to the difficulty in later levels. The music is great and the sound fx are crisp except the horns sound strange. Really who needs a horn but I like honking at cars when I rear-end them. The UI is straight forward and fun to look at. Always great when menus don’t feel like menus. The upgrade system of having to play a car to level up is way more fun. It creates way more replay value.

Negative: While it was annoying, I miss the fuel management system of the previous game. My wife and use to play random cars and run through a Grand Prix. Bad fuel made for interesting match ups and having different priorities. Having to choose between gas and turbo was always fun. The lack of fuel makes these tracks feel empty. Vehicle customization seems fun but I probably won’t use it.

Verdict: Almost a perfect game in my eyes. You’re probably a high 4.8 out of 5 to me. I refuse to round down. I look forward to the console release and some old-fashioned split-screen.
Jack McKinney,
I see what they were going for…
I can totally understand why someone would think that combining the look and feel of classic arcade racers like Cruisin’ with the game model of the popular Asphalt series with regular car updates and mods, but the result ends up feeling like a watered down version of both. The controls and driving feel are far too simplistic for Asphalt fans and trying to meet it halfway loses some of the insanity and campiness of the simple arcade racers that were littered with endless short cuts and wild takedowns.

Ultimately it feels like you can either have a game that just focuses on making it from city to city without taking yourself too seriously or you can have a complex tree of upgrades to apply to the cars in your garage. But having both ends up feeling like less than the sum of its parts. Actual rating is probably a 3.5 but I don’t mind rounding up for effort. It’s a well made game that’s well polished but ended up just making me want to go back and replay other games instead of continue this one.
Nighthawk.,
Not as good as HC1
Long time player and lover of the original game (complete Horizon Chase 1 with 120% completion). The original is perfect and had great controls, content and features. This sequel is so far… disappointing. To start, there is no more fuel. That was a interesting and unique element of the first game and I’m wondering why it was removed as it added additional challenge and strategy to the game which is now missing. Additionally, the original had cool menus which showed locations on a retro style content versus the little flag on the bottom of the screen and tiles in this sequel. The original had way more maps and cars too. There were more fun features such as retro mode… The upgrade system to the cars in this sequel is ok, its different from the system in the first game but it works. The controls are also not as polished and responsive as the first game. The graphics in this game are noticeably better, but at the same time, this game absolutely kills my iPhone 11 pro’s battery and even lags on my latest generation Apple TV 4K. I would suggest somehow adding all the maps and cars from the first game into this one so that legacies players have more maps and cars to race with because as of now, this game feels like a major downgrade.
T.C. Jenkins,
Second Review
This game is still great. I like the challenge but I wish the mechanics were exactly the same for the other cars as it is for me. For example when I bump into a car I get sent backwards but when they bump into me they just keep going the same speed. I appreciate the developers response and the last update is great except for now my controls feel different. The car is turning the wrong way at times and I feel like I cannot drive through the course as fast as I used to. Also, twice I have obtained super trophies and unlocked the new paints and the data didn’t save. I’ve also noticed that I have completed all of the Tournaments with gold trophies and it’s telling me that I’m only 25% complete. Overall this is a new game and I know they are working on getting it right. So that’s the only reason for four stars instead of five.
Royce A.,
App has issues…
UPDATE: Issues are resolved, but progress wasn’t restored. All good, I enjoy the game so thanks for the fix!
Speech bubbles are a nice addition but it would be nice if we had the option to turn them off. I imagine others might be annoyed by them during the race.

I recently started playing this and was loving it. I had progressed through most of the tournament races when the update happened and the problems began. I lost all my trophies and, after unsuccessfully resolving the problems with the developers, decided to just go for the trophies again. But now, the app crashes after a couple of races and now I can no longer progress ahead. According to my game account, I completed all tournament races and should have access to the final car. However, this is not the case. Quite disappointed in this one.
Jayhawks Rule!,
IT WAS A NEARLY PERFECT RACING GAME - HORIZON 2
UPDATE: The latest update has seriously harmed the game. The game is now choppy in parts and controls seem worse. PLEASE UNDO THE LATEST UPDATE because I lLOVED this game before!! This game is absolutely outstanding! I played the original and loved it. But this is definitely an upgrade from the original. The aesthetics are even better in this one. In fact, the aesthetics are just gorgeous in detail and color yet still give off a slight retro feeling yet with modern-day precision. I’ve been able to open up all tracks, and in the first couple of regions, I’ve gotten first place along with collecting all blue tokens. However, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to even medal in the last few tracks because the difficulty is so high. I’m glad the developers dropped the gasoline pickups. I just thought that was annoying especially since there were tokens that needed to be picked up too. So tell me how I can beat those really difficult tracks!
no123456790,
Fun
My family played the first one a lot on playstation so I was excited to see this. So far I have not had any issues with the game, and it has been a fun arcade game like it was meant to be. The music is still rad too which makes me happy. I hope it comes out on console too. If anybody remembers the first one, they’ll know new content and updates were added mostly for free, even new game types. Give the devs a chance. I prefer to play with a controller and my kids on the same screen and not on my phone, so hopefully a console release comes soon. But this is a great way to pass time on my phone so far.
OchreBee,
Pretty Good, However…
After logging a good several hours into the game I would say that the game is a blast to play. Unlocking and upgrading features of the car and the different courses is rather engaging but I’ve had a few issues recently. After logging in multiple times it appears that the car that Id been leveling up and obtaining skins for has completely reset all the way back to level 1 with no skins or upgrades. I still have most of the courses unlocked so it’s not too bad to go back and level the car back up to max... But it’s still a frustrating and disappointing feeling when this happens on an otherwise awesome game that’s quick and easy to play.🙁🏎️💨
LawlWorthy,
Great Game - not syncing
This is a 2 part review, the game and then the bugs.

This is a great game. 5 stars. I enjoyed the original and am having a blast with this one as well. This take on arcade racing is great for an experience you can play on basically any size screen.

speaking of....

I started playing on my macbook while away from home and wanted to continue playing on my apple tv once I returned. Unfortunately, my save data will not sync. I am stuck playing on my laptop until this gets resolved.

For the devs:
It seems like this issue is because I started playing while not connected to the internet. Even though my laptop and TV are on the same network they wil still not sync. I downloaded the game on my iPad and it picked up the save data from my TV (I did 1 race and restarted to see if a new save would do anything), not my tablet. I know they are on the same account because I can see all my achievements on these other platforms, but the save data/progress will not sync.

If this gets resolved for players in the future I would gladly give this 5 stars
