I don’t mind paying for something I like, especially if it’s only 99 cents. What I do mind is being lied to to increase sales. If it’s 99 cents to use this app, then just say so up front. Don’t lead users on and make them believe it’s a free app when it’s not. It was annoying how the app suddenly asked me to pay after about 5 scans without a heads up. The description doesn’t even say “in app purchases.” I really feel like the developers did this in order to coax users into buying. Not me. For that reason, I deleted the app regardless of how much I liked it. Please be up front and courteous to your users.
UPDATE: After reading the developer’s response, I went back and downloaded the app to give it another try. I was honestly quick to judge...what I thought was a prompt to get me to buy a full version of the app, turned out to be just a prompt to either buy the ad-free version or watch a short ad. I’m not sure how I overlooked that (maybe I had a long day and I was tired). Sorry for the brash review. I think so many apps operate that way that I got used to it. Thanks for such a great app. Like I said, I don’t mind paying for an awesome app, especially if it’s only 99 cents, but the fact that we have the option to buy the ad-free version is great. That being said, this app is very informative and helpful! I’m trying to switch to a healthier lifestyle and with that comes the use of cleaner products. I’ve been using this app nonstop since discovering it. Thanks to the team of scientists who developed this app. Wish you guys happy holidays!! ♥️
