RAMSLAYER,
Simplicity when integrated with the health app.
I really have relied upon this, and the health app working together seamlessly. Once set up, the ability to have Apple’s health app be the central hub for everything is amazing. The last three years I have been through the wringer regarding my health. Being able to have all of my test results, vitals, goals, and my own unique data sets recorded in one location that is almost in real time has been indispensable! I had providers from different healthcare providers that did not share the same data software, but universally i was able to import into the health app and then disseminate all of the info via PDF export made my care with IHC accurate, automated, and most importantly reliable. That is seriously just one facet to all of the tools imbedded into this app. Very well done, to all that had a hand in the production and maintenance of this app!!
midgetmafiosa,
Extremely useful, needs some improvements
This bit is only pertinent to the iPad version. Please provide the option for the screen to rotate to landscape. It’s just not ideal if you want to type. The graphics aren’t as nice either.

The rest is about the app as a whole. (I honestly don’t know why people are leaving reviews about individual doctors; that’s wholly inappropriate.) It’s highly useful, but there are areas of improvement. First is that the app often freezes and crashes while trying to load. Second is that none of the visit notes or other information is available to download, including attachments sent by providers, even though there is a button to do so, and this is a HIPPA protected app. As a disabled person, I frequently need access to these notes and attachments and it’s cumbersome to have them sent via paper mail when they are readily available in app and SHOULD be downloadable. I also need access to message my non-medical providers, such as internal care managers within the Select Health system, who assist with patient care, prior authorizations, and appeals, as they are a connected system and work directly with my healthcare providers.

What a waste. By SDC
As I drove up, there was very poor organization and very poor directions on where to go first. There were signs everywhere saying COVID-19 testing , So you go to one area and wait for 20 minutes or longer, as somebody helped you they redirect you to the back of the hospital, so after following poorly marked directions, You arrive where other AC employees are supposed to guide and direct but it seemed like they wanted to avoid eye contact and avoid anybody coming into get tested. Nothing was clearly marked, and employees would be chatting for several minutes rather than addressing vehicles, giving or taking tests. I was so unimpressed considering the billions of federal dollars put into making the system efficient. also the online portal is not very efficient either. The whole process of going through everything that is required from your Primary care, to testing, to getting results is duplicating many processes. The whole process is so inefficient, that I see many people not wanting to even get tested, which defeats the reason for testing in the first place. Patients are most contagious during the 4 days that process takes, infecting others. By the time results are gotten most people are out of the contagious stage. What a complete waste of time and effectiveness! Very unimpressed with IHC , top to bottom
AmethystV,
It’s Great but Could Use a Few Fixes.
My favorite thing is being able to see the results of any labs that I have done without needed to contact the office. I have multiple chronic conditions and it just makes it easy to track everything. I also love that I can send a message to my doctor and set up an appointment all from my phone because I tend to forget to call my doctors office if I have to wait for it to open. - There are a few things I wish could get a small fix. I have to open and close the app a couple times in order for it to let me log in. If I accidentally minimize the app and go back into it the message I typed is completely gone, and sometimes when im selecting a doctor to send a message there are multiples of one doctor. For example, I need to send a message to Dr. John but when I open the messaging screen there are 2-3 different options for the same doctor and if I choose the wrong one, it’ll never reach him.
Hgtdsahbbbbbb,
Such a terrible app
I just wanted to make an appointment for an annual
Physical. Should be easy, right? It should be a simple click on “make an appointment,” ask me what I want it for, type in a zip, and find the closest Intermountain clinic with a family practice doc or NP or PA who can do that for me. Instead, the app makes you choose an specialty area. Most people would be confused by this. I knew I needed family practice, so I picked that. It then brought me to a list of practitioners, all of which were not available until nine months from now. But it only gave me the option of like six doctors, even though I know they’re far more than that. I had to go back to the homepage, type in a specific position that I happen to know, had some openings, and then click on him. He was available the same day. Why would he not come up first when I’ve seen him before and he’s close to my house? Why did it default to the main hospital? 6 miles away from my house, instead of to the clinic right by my house? The University Of Utah’s app is far superior to Intermountains. IHs is app makes it hard to be a patient at intermountain Medical.
System User 1,
Excellent
I am grateful for Dr Beckstead’s expertise & professionalism. He listens, he is thoughtful, he is very knowledgeable, he is thorough, he is attentive. He educates himself & is open to new understand & research, he is very familiar with others expertise in the medical community. He is honest & he does what he says he will do. On top of all that, he helped save my life by acting timely and effectively. The others on his team are also amazing. I went in, he recommended an x-ray. It was late in the day, but the x-ray was taken within 15 minutes, read by the radiologist, posted to my MyHealth medical record, and Dr. Beckstead sent me an email - all within about 1 1/2 hours of the time the doc recommended the image! Truly Amazing! Thank-you Dr. Beckstead & your Intermountian team!!
Sparky McMuffin,
A hideous rebranding while the app remains buggy
The Twitter to 𝕏 rebranding made more sense. At least new features were introduced to justify it he rebranding The dayglo rebranding from IHC to ih seems arbitrary. Please stop rebranding your business (again) and focus on fixing the app instead.

I still cannot initiate emails. I can only reply. I can’t even search for my care team members. They don’t show up in search. They have to email me first. When tapping on a message, often the wrong message will load. When writing a message, in order to create new lines, I still have to tap “done”, tap back inside the message box, tap “done” again, tap back inside, just to get professional spacing to match the letters my doctor’s send. Is the traditional “Return” too difficult to manage? Well, at least your new logo looks snazzy on black.

Why fix the app when you can rebrand again to something hip and shiny, right? Who needs a medical icon for a medical app when a goofy colored font will do? Now people can confuse your business with ihop. Sweet.
T_Sid,
Not as user friendly as I would like
Though the interface is nice, there is a serious lack of information on the app as to how to add family members to your account so you can view them all easily. I had to comb through the app to find a number to call for any questions, and then I was given vague directions on how to request access to my child’s medical records, and then it took me another few phone calls to finally get the right sort of facility to send me an email to THEN set up and login all over again to be able to access my child’s information. I feel like all that work could have been avoided or done a lot quicker if there was more helpful information about family members records and how to add them directly on the app instead of jumping through many hoops like I had to. I’m a pretty tech savvy person and I have a background working with medical records so I didn’t give up easily, but I’m sure if I didn’t have that sort of experience under my belt, I would have stopped trying.
LizDahl,
Charged $60 for an appointment that never happened
The app eventually refunded us, but beware that the app is super unreliable. We tried to do a remote video appointment and they all cost $60, but while we were waiting to be seen, the app closed, and this happened twice (mind you it also takes a while to go back in and set everything back up to do a different video chat), and they charged us money before we even saw the doctor.

They really need to wait to charge people till the doctor sees them. It’s messed up that they do it before hand, because obviously if they did it after the fact, we never would have been charged. I’m sure there were people who didn’t know how to contest the charge and were ripped off $60 for no reason.

I have the app two stars even though it probably deserves one, only because they refunded us. To me that doesn’t make up for this app being unreliable in the first place.
HORRIBLE ER EXPIERENCE,
My experience.
I went to the hospitals InstaCare because I was concerned I had pneumonia on top of my COVID-19. Everyone at the InstaCare was great they took my pulse ox and I had it reading of 84 the doctor then sent me to the ER where they proceeded to treat me like an idiot.
Again I didn’t go to the ER I was sent there, and all these doctors at the ER could care about was that my pulse ox reading had gone up and I had I’ve been vaccinated. No one told me anything about my chest x-ray or is it if I had pneumonia or I should be concerned about pneumonia or how to help my breathing. I’ve now been home for a day in my lungs sound worse and I still can’t braids like normal. They gave me oxygen and sent me on my way. Again I still don’t know if I have pneumonia or anything wrong with my lungs if things aren’t better within the next couple days my wife and I will be going to another hospital and hopefully they will have better customer care and actually answer my questions and not treat me like an idiot.
