Harkening back to the classics of the twin-stick shooting genre, JoyJoy offers up pure action satisfaction. It's just you, the arena, an assortment of weapons, and more enemies than you can shake a vulcan cannon at. Swap between six different guns on the fly and choose the right weapon for each situation. Charge up your Ultra Attack to unleash the devastating power of each of your offensive skills and send a pile of your foes to the scrapyard in one fell swoop.

Battle dozens of swarms of aggressive attackers in Waves Mode or dive into the Challenges Mode to take on specially-tuned tests of your shooting skills. Collect a variety of power-ups that will increase the power of your weapons, give you a temporary helping hand, or improve the parameters of your ship. Rack up the highest score you can and compare your best runs with those of your friends. Get into the zone and discover the joy that comes from staying one step ahead in this intense action experience.

Smooth Controls: Use touch controls or grab your controller to enjoy some of the smoothest twin-stick shooting around!

Multiple Weapons: Swap between 6 different weapons on the fly. Pick the right gun for the right job in order to stay alive!

Plentiful Power-Ups: Pick up power-ups to increase the power of your weapons, improve your ship's parameters, or get a temporary helping hand in your battle against the enemy swarms!

Enemies Galore: Take the fight to massive waves of enemy forces. Learn each enemy's behavior and choose the best strategy to counter them!

Lethal Bosses: These extra-tough opponents will put your skills to the test. Keep calm and take them on!

Multiple Modes: Wade into a crowd of nasty baddies in the Waves Mode, or take on tailor-picked tests in the Challenges Mode!

Customizable Difficulty: How intense do you want your shooting action? Have it your way with 7 different difficulty settings!

Fun flashback! 😎

I love brainless shooting games, and this one is awesome! I love the level challenges, and I get better as info through each one! I just wish there was a destination just like most classic shooting games have. The alternative is the point system to get to the next level. Overall, it's a great "new wave" shooting game for Generation Y.

Just love it

The nice thing about this app is that it allows for a wide range of difficulty. I like the easier levels because it is relaxing to blow those "ships" up. There are many levels, each with a nice color scheme. The music is fun, arcade-style and sound effects are satisfying.
I used to like puzzle games, but with a game like this, one can get immediate pleasure without straining your brain.
I would recommend buying all the radian games , such as inferno 2 and Super Crossfight

80s style arcade with today's technology

I love this game. It's simple, pure and utterly challenging. There are varying degrees of difficulty from "relaxed" casual play to zone out to all the way to freaking insanely hard-with-way-too-many enemies. I like to choose the really hard setting sometimes just to see how fast I'm knocked out. I own Inferno+ and Inferno 2, both being really great games by Radian. Joy Joy is another great addition to my collection.

Games like this deserve to be bought

Ignore the negative reviews. This game is a blast! Fast, addictive and exciting. A game you can pick up and play for 5 minutes or zone out on for an hour. If you want this same game with varied levels and missions, then pick up Inferno and Inferno 2 by the same developer. They're both awesome too. But this one is great and unique in its own right. Buy it already!!!

Play Your Way

Starts off with everything set to make it easy to pick up and play, but with added difficulty levels and the ability to turn off gameplay aids.

Ridiculous

I made it to level 16 in no time at all and had no idea what I was doing. No tutorial, some words that made no sense to me, and it was one fast, spinning mess with no rhyme or reason. Are there rules? Goals? Some structure to follow or attain? What an utter waste of time. I deleted that one fast and I suggest you do the same. Put in a tutorial, please. Not everyone has played such a game, and believe me, it is NOT "intuitive." And I'll bet you don't even post this review, just the good ones.

Simple & Entertaining

The game seems basic, but honestly grabs your attention. It's relaxing, yet intense, and has some nice effects, multiple weapons, upgrades and even boss fights. To date, it hasn't once asked me for any money. I like it :)

Really good game on the iPad even better on my iPhone addictive in every way hope to see some more levels in the future and I got it free at starbucks worth the 2 dollars it costs i would pay it

I just got it today free from starbucks but if u r going to buy it its worth it. just one thing ... I would like multiplayer it would be even better but 5 stars completly
