Jace 6s,
Loved it, but
It’s a great game and everything, but the main thing is that the “well known” bug of the ending where if u follow thru to the end and then want to go back to continue, there is a button to go back. It says “revert time”, however it apparently sometimes doesn’t work. If the developer, which has apparently been working on idle acorns again, could go back and maybe find a fix for it to finally complete the game it would be majorly appreciated. Other than that, this game was amazing and I loved how simple yet fun in its own way. One thing I hate about other idle games is where it either relies on the idle aspect of being away and waiting, or has nearly no actual action required to gain whatever increments needed to progress. This game was honestly the best for when I didn’t have service and just was bored so I had something to do. The developer did a great job overall and I’m very grateful they made this work of art.
The Real Jzon,
Had potential but drives the player away
There are many other incremental games out there that are less frustrating than this one. Between the lack of any increment automation, the annoying minigames, and the sound that plays at full blast regardless of your actual volume settings (seems to rely on ringer volume), the game is more a test of my patience than fun to play. There is a way to turn off sounds in game, yes, but then you’re missing out on an entire sense worth of the experience, which will nag at your curiosity. And really that’s the main draw of this game, curiosity. The game draws you in with its mysterious air and unknown goal, and makes you wonder what’s going to happen next. As for the minigames, while I do enjoy playing an active part in incremental games, I’m not looking for something that requires 100% of my focus and punishes heavily for a mistake. If I wanted to give a game my undivided attention I would play a different genre, not one with extremely limited feedback and repeated content that takes 30 minutes for major progress while feeling like I’m just a monkey in a cage responding to a stimulus test. Overall I wish this game were better because I do want to see where it goes, but the experience is both too frustrating and time consuming to the point that I might just drop it.
Sparking dolphin,
Fun in moments but a drag to get through
First I gotta say the charm in the game is done very well. The writing for the button is something that kept me from soldiering on in the game and each time a new area was unlocked with new dialogue, o had a blast reading through those speech bubbles. The problem I have is that it can take a needlessly long time to get to those points. The mini games are fun at first but eventually turns into a slog to get through as each mistake you make in them sets you back more than it really should. Makes it especially frustrating when you have to start from scratch with the speed each time. And on a side note, the button on the main screen is way too hard for me to press. My hands can get pretty shaky when doing those repetitive motions like clicking buttons, and the small text is especially hard since I can’t see whether or not I am pressing it. A change to maybe add a larger border around the button to be like the one in the mini games would be greatly appreciated.

Greatest mobile game of all time
The amount of joy, excitement, and pure bliss that I experience while I am playing this game is unexplainable. I have never been so invested in something as simple as a button. But it is so much more then just a button, as it became more of a purpose. All I wanted to do was progress Herold to see what would happen next. The only thing that I can point out that was wrong is that it would crash sometimes, but the game makes up for that simple flaw by being utterly addicting. I didn’t know it was possible to have drugs implanted into a game but Just Button has done it. If I could sacrifice anything to go back in time and experience this masterpiece for the first time again I would do it with no second thought in my mind. Herold is love. Herold is life.

Kept Me On My Toes
Over the course of playing this game, I can tell you first hand that there were many times I just wanted to give up. But Herold is what kept me going. I wanted to know what was at the end so badly that it didn’t matter how many hours I spent playing the game or how tired my fingers got from tapping. This is not a game suited for people who need to have an end goal in sight, but rather for players who enjoy a storyline no matter how long it takes to come through or someone who is in it for the experience and has no worries about the time spent playing. Overall, it’s a pretty wholesome game and definitely a time-consumer for those who need a distraction. It also brought up a lot of challenges, which is definitely for a game of such endurance.
@rikiyamada,
UNEXPECTEDLY-DELIGHTFUL, Fulfilling, & Perfectly Time-Consuming!
Dude. Lately, (perhaps, it’s my age) but, I’ve hardly taken any interest to playing apps/games for my iPhone-& I used to play quite a LOT. LOL

Clearly, there are still loads of great games out there for mobile-gaming w/ beautiful graphics, great stories, & innovative game play. IMO, it’s simply too daunting & discouraging for me to genuinely-excitedly begin learning new controls for a new game, when there are multiple options, functions, moves, features, etc. - I JUST CAN’T HANG, any more 😅🙊🙈🙉

I saw “JUST BUTTON”, just last night &, MAN! I’m totally hooked! A sophisticated, innovative, some times challenging, game that LITERALLY consists of 1 control function-JUST TAPPING A BUTTON!!

I don’t know how far I’ve got to go but, i sense that I’m getting closer to the end of this game. (I don’t wanna know-I’ll just keep playing ‘til there’s no more 😆)

But, yes, so far, I’ve been pleasantly preoccupied w/ playing this game, in the best, happiest, sincerest, most organic ways - I keep wanting to see what other mysterious, ingenious challenges & THINGS will be presenting themselves, to be figured out!! Thank you to all humans involved in creating this game, “JUST BUTTON” 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 - RIKI
Lookbudy,
A Visual And Aural Mobile Masterpiece
At first I was skeptical. A game where you just push a button? That sounds stupid. Then I read the reviews, and man people love pushing that button. So I had to try it for myself. The game opened with a black screen and a button in its center. The first push of that button brought me back in time. To when I took my first steps as a youngling. I was immediately addicted. The Taptic feedback filled me with adrenaline as I push that button as fast as my human fingers could. And that toolbox! I could write essays upon essays just on the mere sound it produced with every tap. I mustn't spoil this work of art any further. If you are skeptical of downloading this game, push your worries aside and just get it. After all it is free.
zukray,
Wow just wow
I was looking through my App Store and happened to come across just button. I downloaded it think it was just as it seemed just a button but it is so much more although I completed this masterpiece in a matter of a couple days the ending was a masterpiece and there’s always classic mode. There is one thing I am confused about though… how do you get the last two snap shots??? I’ve tried everything but I can’t figure it out I even searched the internet but there was nothing. Anyway flawless game for long car ride and anything in that matter
Smashycakes,
Beyond words at how horrid this game is
I think the positive reviews aren’t genuine, and from people who didn’t actually play very much. The mini games become the central part of the experience, and they are less enjoyable than getting teeth pulled. Except here, the reward is like jamming the tooth back into your mouth, and having to rip it out again. In other games, you sacrifice your progress to a sort of “prestige” system, for larger gains - but not in this abortion. You just keep doing it over and over and over and over for nothing. After seeing the increasing grind at the volcano, I had to accept the hours I had lost and move on with my life. I am entirely honest in thinking the developer of this game has a mental illness to think that this 2000s era palm pilot trash would be worth anyones time, and even worse, their own time it took to develop it. I can’t believe it, but after many years and hundreds of app game downloads, I’ve found the worst of the worst.
bad use of technology,
It’s Not Just a Button
I understand this would be stupid but I do wish it was...just a button. Just wanted something to tap to clear my mind but when you get to 800 it forces you to upgrade and make the game more than “just button”. I have no problem with that expect for the fact that you can’t continue to play. I could just learn how to make my own button app cause it’s just a button wish I wasn’t forced into upgrading though. 3 stars because I didn’t actually play the game because I didn’t want to upgrade, I just wanted to see over time how high I could get the button, like everyone just hits the button and you see who in your area has the highest hits.
