Vain Galaxy,
Lots of fun to be had without spending money
I’ll leave some game tips after the review.

Where to start? I’ve played this game now for 60+ hours and for the first few days have barely been able to put it down. I’ve spent twelve dollars maybe on buying diamonds, but that was just for job gacha; there was never a time when I felt like I had to buy a speed boost for this game because there was almost always some other fun way for me to pass the time while the timer for an upgrade was going. This still can’t beat the best kairosoft game, (game dev story) but if you like this enough it has more content for you to spend time with.

Tips:
Your adventures can make children that can be more powerful than their parents. You must build a house for one adventurer, then install a double bed inside for someone of the opposite sex.

Try to pair parents of the same rank for added bonus.

There are some jobs that can only be unlocked by the offspring of certain parent job combos.

Always wait until affection rates hit 100 to marry adventurers. It will save loads of diamonds.

In the level 135 area you will unlock a date spot that can increase affection very quickly and will even work its magic while you are not in app.

If you want to be an ultimate cheese master, pretty early on you can find a smithy and equipment exchange stands. Use those to continuously upgrade you cheapest and most available equipment and you can turn even your unleveled adventurers into beasts.

Very Addictive
I have to admit, I’m loving this unique little game. You can play it both in an idle fashion and on a micromanaging scale. However, despite it’s lovely charm, you have to figure out a good chunk of features with little to no guidance. If you make a wrong move or placement of a building you have to delete it instead of being able to move the structure without even any compensation. Also the marriage and children stats and conditions should definitely be explained in more detail; especially since once characters get hitched, the are unable to divorce and can only produce two offspring at the most. I’ve been cultivating my forth town and have only scratched the surface to what this game has to offer. The one thing I feel that needs to be the most reworked in this game, besides the inability to move buildings without completely destroying them, is the dramatic difficulty spike in the leveling of the undiscovered zones verses ones puny populace. I myself have strayed into a significantly higher level zone, and as a result one of my just budding towns would continually get destroyed since even your highest leveled characters cannot handle them. It is very frustrating for a new or more seasoned player who made an error to have to constantly deal with constant overpowered monster attacks when trying to expand their territory.

Fun way to pass the time
I really enjoy this game. Not only is it something that I can have passively running in the background, but it’s fun to actively play (a lot of games require so much waiting that it’s hard to lose yourself in the game). One thing that I will say is that after awhile it gets a bit monotonous. It’s the same thing over and over.

I would like to be able to direct the characters a bit more or have some side tasks to occupy my time between unlocking different areas of the map. There also aren’t very many monsters, so I haven’t really had to worry about my defense very much. I’ve been playing this for about a week and have maybe had my town attacked 3 times (each time by one monster who was easily wiped out). I also think the mechanics could use a bit of work. You can demolish the buildings and rebuild them (it puts them back into your inventory—essentially you can restructure your town this way), but it takes such a long time. It took me hours to move my layout around and it was tedious waiting for research to come through. Overall, it’s been very fun, but I feel like it needs some more depth. I look forward to seeing what Kairosoft puts out next (I would love a more detailed version of Dream House Dayz—I’d even be willing to part with some $ for a paid app).
MKVang,
Great, but could use some improvements
This is great game that both uses play time and idle time very good. Play to boost your town while go offline to upgrade/unlock various stuff.
However, the main problem is that the start of the game is SUPER SLOW especially when you are given many unlocks but you can’t do anything since you have to unlock it. The need for RESEARCHERS(Which are needed to unlocking the many various buildings)are SO IMPORTANT that basically any other type of jobs are secondary to none. With the one researcher you get at the start, it makes the game so slow even when going idle most of the time cause you only get to unlock/build that one building per researcher. Either revamp the building unlock system or make it easier to get researchers.
Also being able to move buildings when they are built should have been implemented and I don’t know why that is not in the game. That way we do not need to destroy buildings to move it, wasting resources.
Expanding the territory is also a mystery. It needs a very big improvement as every time it said that the territory grew big it only went so little and it is so vague in how to tell you to expand it.
There are many other minor peeves that would increase this essay however I still stand that this game is a great game.
Query5,
Could have been better
I have played multiple Kirosoft games, so I downloaded this game because it reminded me of Dungeon Village (which I really wish they would upgrade to add more play value) my complaints: 1. You should be able to build on “any area”especially those areas that contain only grass or just dirt that has been extended out to you by the use of torches, this is something you cannot do. 2. There should be a relocate/move option, so you can rearrange your buildings as you expand your kingdom. 3. Getting high rated characters, is a joke. I was able to do so only by spending money. The amount of crystals you need in order to do this is ridiculous!
4. Since I don’t know anyone that plays this game, I can never do the add a friend on missions that will let you do that, so- how about some game generated characters, like the adventures that come off the ships that pull in port...what a concept!
There are many other things I can say, but in the end I wish the Kirosoft would go back to making enjoyable games as they did in the past, I will keep the game installed in the hopes that they will make changes, I doubt that will happen though! Sad just plain Sad. As someone stated in a previous review it’s just a money grab! Don’t waste your time!

Fun but marred by annoying ads you can’t pay to remove
Interesting and fun if grindy kingdom builder that seems like a reasonable evolution of previous non-freemium Kairosoft games. I decided to try the game because I’d found their previous pay games enjoyable and a bargain for the level of amusement. I hoped to play and support a middle path between fixed-price pay-up-front and the many exploitative freemium games out there.

When I first played there were no ads on screen, just a startup ad. But now there is a constant stream of distracting Google Ads at the bottom of the screen and none of the diamond purchase options remove them. Perhaps just as bad, the game frequently pops up offers to show videos or earn gems by installing other apps, etc. If buying gems or some other purchase eliminated the ads, even for a month, this would be a 5 star game, but as-is, I’ll be headed back to Apple Arcade.

4.50 Stars
Old-time Kairosoft fan here. As a rule, all of their games have a grind element. You’ll find it’s here, too, but it can be somewhat mitigated through the use of gems. You might see this and feel the urge to delete the game, thinking it’s just another money sink. I’d urge you to hold back in this particular case. Gems are very easily earned in this game as you play. As long as you don’t spend money on the Gacha feature on the bottom left, which you do not need at all to experience what this game is at it’s core. They do give free Gacha tickets from time to time, which I highly encourage using.

It’s deceptively simple at first. But as you progress, you’ll find more features than in any other Kairosoft game. It has elements of a town builder, dungeon crawler, and management sim, all executed with enough skill for you to appreciate it.

All in all, I love this game. I’ve sunk hours into it and I’ve barely scratched the surface. If you like Kairosoft games and you already have Apple Arcade, just get this game. You’ll feel at home immediately.
Freelance Dreamer,
The Best Kind of Time Sink
I’ve loved Kairosoft’s games for years now, but I’ve never been so incredibly focused on a single game (aside from p. stables lol) for so long. It’s a grind, but in a good way that captures my attention for hours on end. The progress can be really slow when you’re not sure what you’re doing (which is kind of a lot of the time if you’re coming into this game blind), but I am definitely finding myself really enjoying the aspect of discovering what in the hell I’m supposed to be doing on my own. If you want a game that holds your hand and tells you what to do for the entirety, this definitely isn’t the game for you. Still, give it a go! The microtransactions are an option to advance faster, but definitely aren’t necessary, so I actually appreciate the balance in this game. Thanks for another surprisingly intricate game, Kairosoft!
ParadoxLogic,
Love the game but..
I have no complaints on gameplay. The game itself is wonderful, and I haven’t encountered serious bugs. It doesn’t have annoying ads or a pay to win system. It’s not unnecessarily difficult so your driven to purchase power-ups. Of course you can purchase in game currency to make everything go a bit faster or easier, but you really don’t have to do it in order to make real progress in the game.

My complaint is that the app collects location data when it does not have any playable game features that would reasonably need the collection of location data. A game like PokémonGo would most definitely need to collect that data. I understand it’s probably for marketing purposes of knowing where your users are from, but then just scrub the data so it’s not linked or used to track me. At the very least give me a choice of the data I’m willing to share.

Yet another great game ruined by ads
As the title says, this was a fun long term simulation game based around building a city and directing the people you chose to populate it with. The ads weren’t overly intrusive, you usually saw one each time you started the game and that was it. Unfortunately the recent update put a banner on the bottom of the screen that shows a constant stream of ads. It wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that most of the buttons you press are at the bottom of the screen as well and it’s incredibly easy to hit the ads and suddenly have several other apps open up to spam you with crap you never wanted. Kairosoft just lost a customer with this, I used to buy their games a and enjoyed them quite a bit, but they’ve gone the way of freemium games now. They seem to think customers will pay them tons of money and get nothing in return. It saddens me that they’ve become like every other mobile games company that shoves out games riddled with ads and overly expensive freemium trash.
