Coding, the fun way
If you’ve ever used a visual coding environment, you’ll be right at home with the Robot Inventor App’s colourful drag-and-drop canvas based on Scratch. Each coding element is grouped into categories so you can quickly find what you’re looking for. As well as using the coding canvas to complete the 50+ activities included in the app, you can also code your own activities for an even greater challenge – or, if you’re a more advanced coder, you can also use Python.
Take control
The Robot Inventor App includes a remote-control feature so you can get your robot walking, dancing and firing with just a few taps! You can also customise it to create your own personalised controller.

Powered Up extension: You can now use all Powered Up motors and sensors with the MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor App. The existing motor blocks will work with all Powered Up motors.

I like this
This app is so good, just that I lost the charger so now I have to use different one. I appreciate all the work it took for u to make this Lego set. Just that i tested the motors when I built Charlie the second time and when I turn the arms the head doesn’t turn with them like it is supposed to. And another thing annoys me is that there are only five official models, which makes me think all the time what I should build next. Can u pls make more? I can wait as long as u need

Ive always wanted ro be an engineer but im a kid so yeah.. But this app made me feel like one i built a robot named Robby he can shake your hand and hug :)
also two things i want to say is can you add cameras i want to just sit in my room and drivr a robot around without having to keep watch over it so it doesnt bump into stuff or fall over. also those who keep saying that their robot shuts off for no reason every 15 seconds and flashes orange, it means its on low power and you need to charge it. rip if you dont have the charger your screwed buddy

Excellent but annoying
The app is truly fun most of the time but it can be a bit laggy and hard to connect to the hub and when a new update comes out you need to update the hub but other then that the app is excellent.

I’ve always been a huge fan of coding and also I’ve been a fan of Lego ever since well I’ve been a fan of Lego as long as I can remember so being able to combine my passion for coding is my love of Lego make this perfect especially now that I have the main storms kit that I got for Christmas I am now ready for mine storms by the way before you get this app make sure that you actually have the mind storms kit

LEGO pretends there was no Mindstorms before Robot Inventor
It is sad that LEGO not just abandoned (understandably) previous generation of Mindstorms, but is trying to hide the fact the NXT and especially EV3 made LEGO robotics so popular: the official resources and apps for EV3 have mainly disappeared on the Web.
To my question to LEGO support: “Is there any way to connect/control Mindstorms EV3 from iPhone?”
the reply was “We currently have the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Inventor app available for iPhone”.
To my mind, restricting access to resources for the previously sold popular products, and stripping compatibility in order to boost sales for the new ones, only leads to supporters’ frustration and limits trust into the brand.
If you have made Robot Inventor superior over EV3 you wouldn’t have a need for this marketing tricks.

I’m on an iPhone and it won’t let me connect
It’s not letting me connect to the hub I tried videos need it fixed if possible. Also fallowed all steps to connect via Bluetooth because it’s on phone not laptop so if you can fix the Bluetooth option on iPhone that would be awesome.

I think it’s good but mine doesn’t work.
It is fun to be creative with the LEGO mindstorm, but every 15 seconds mine shuts off. I tried one of the designs and double checked every step but it still just tries breaking itself. It is worth the 3 start rating.

Crashes
The app is unusable and has made for an unbelievably disappointing Christmas gift. My kid is crushed this doesn’t work. It crashes every time we try to connect the hub and constantly says it needs an update despite doing it 4 times already.
