My opinion on this product
I myself think this is a great contraption it is fun for all ages but lt is probably best for 10 through 14. It has games that you can control with the Sphero, You can also control it with an app on your phone, and it has plenty of other features! I only think they should add a Camera so you can see where you were going when you are controlling it.
Other than that it’s pretty great . For Christmas I got four Spheros to give to my family members. They got excited immediately and ran off and played with it. So it’s pretty awesome and I think you or whoever you are getting it for will love it.

Great but could use a few more features.
It would be nice to see the app laid out more like the SpheroEDU Drive app with the controls for the lights, speed, and movement all on one page. I do prefer the Play app for my Sphero Bolt because it works with the gyroscope on my phone to ensure the Bolt is aimed properly regardless of which direction I’m facing, and it does a few fun animations on the LED Matrix whereas the SpheroEDU app does not offer these features. I would also like to see the ability added to enable the Front LED and the Back LED and adjust the color as well as controls for the LED Matrix on the Sphero Bolt. Currently these features can only be enabled and controlled by writing a program for the Bolt. I’d like to be able to display a scrolling message on the screen of the Bolt, enable the front and back LED and drive the robot manually. Currently there’s no way to do this. Hopefully we’ll see an update soon.

My sphero sprk 2.0 I think is what it was. Recently broke it was old so I decided to get a new one (a sphero mini) the app functions really well. The face drive is a little difficult to use. But that’s fine I don’t use it that much. The mini games are fun 3 (mini games) is enough. All functions are really fun to use. I’ve played with the sphero till it was dead. My friends enjoy the Sphero as well. Which is saying a lot because they normally don’t like those things. Like the app a lot functions well compared to the only sphero app that you can no longer get in the App Store. Would recommend.

What happened to the Star Wars app for the robots
I don’t know what happened to the Star Wars app or the robots but me and my brotherI had this black BB-8 and my brother had an R2 D2 we played we played with it for a really long time Then we forgot about it today I was trying to find a link evil for my oculus but then I found my black BB-8 I didn’t know what the app was so I just put Star Wars robot and nothing showed up but then I try to find the company name but then I found it but then when I try to search for the app but I only found Sphero nothing was there I got really mad because we just spend a lot of money on this if you have kept the app you could’ve made a lot of money people could be buying your product no but you deleted it and you didn’t want any support could’ve gotten a lot of money

This app is good but
I like this app just fine. I just wish I could use it with all of my Sphero products that Sphero (the company) has abandoned. I have a bunch of Star Wars “app enabled” droids the Sphero Spider-Man and the Force Band but none work any more because either I can’t find the apps anymore or I have the apps but they don’t work anymore. Have you thought about re-releasing functioning versions of the apps and just charging for them? Just to get my awesome licensed Sphero stuff I would pay $10 for each app! (once—not a subscription). Or just take my original suggestion and make this app connect with all of the abandoned products. I think you’d be making a LOT of people happy!

Love the app!
I think the app is better to control and u have more control I do recommend the app if u have struggles with other ways👌But I do recommend u put some more games to play I sorta got bored from playing the same games over and over again! I also recommend to use the Sphero mini because the shell on it protects it from breaking.I dropped the robot like millions of times down the stairs (on accident) and it was perfectly fine!

Aiming fearure needs to be more like in the Sphero Edu App
the controls (sphero 2.0) need to be fixed in that it should be much easier to adjust the aim. On the other apps, you hold down and rotate a button right by the joystick to adjust the aim, but on this one you have to click the button, wait like 2 seconds, adjust the aim, click back, and then wait 2 more seconds. With the sphere 2.0 I am constantly having to adjust the aim each time i turn my phone, which is stupid because i turn my phone the whole time while using it to look where the ball is. On the Ollie, it has auto-heading which is very nice, but the sphere does not have that.
So, I recommend making the aiming more like how it is in the Sphero Edu app or how it is in the Ollie app.

New Update is Glitchy
I love the new update - Sphero 2.0 is FINALLY supported! But I've already noticed some glitches. One of them is when you are aiming the robot when you first open the app, if you point the blue dot on the Sphero towards you, it goes in the opposite direction of where you point the joystick. If you manually aim it again, it fixes it. This is really annoying because I don't want to have to aim my Sphero fifty times for it to work. Also, another thing is that the auto-aim feature isn't really that accurate. On the previous Sphero app, it was extremely accurate and I almost never had to aim it more than once.

Also perhaps rubberizing the outside or putting rubber nobbies on it for beter traction. Also , maybe a speaker so it can bark or beep or growl or hiss or talk to my cat, my dog, my peoples. Great product. Already want another one.

Great app for sphero but what abt Ollie
This is a great app to use if you want to control any of the Sphero products. However it does not seem to have a function to control the Ollie, I bought the Ollie at release and enjoyed it for a while but one day it just got put onto a shelf and left there for a couple of years. I ended up deleting the app used to control the all leave and I wanted to revisit it this year but I can’t seem to find an app that controls it.
