BJOBASG,
SO easy to use!
As a parent putting multiple kids through the Let’s Play Music curriculum I am SO thrilled about the ease of this app! We’ve had the struggle of battling over who gets to listen to what CD, losing the CD, not having a car to play the CD and then clumsily figuring out how to download the tracks to work on our iPhone. This app solves all of those problems and the kids can easily have access to the songs they love and take them with them everywhere! They can have access on their own devices so I don’t have to hand over my phone. Carpool line, soccer practice, grocery shopping, bedtime… we can review our songs from class easily. Thank you!
Dr Mic,
Love the LPM program! - the app is sadly frustrating
100% recommend these classes to everyone! We love LPM and Sound Beginnings! We miss the consistency of being able to listen to the music on CD’s because the app kicks us out every few minutes - it’s hard to use during the most pivotal time of use - aka the car. My kids don’t even know all the songs by heart anymore because the app deprived them of listening that often. If there was a way to download the music digitally like we used to, onto the voice recorder app, that would be excellent! That voice recorder app doesn’t kick us out.
Other than being kicked out while listening to music, the app is very nice, very easy to navigate and I love how it keeps all of the music in one location for sound beginnings and LPM. It’s very appealing to the eye, I love the advertisements that keep us in the loop, and I bet it is the best for teachers as they are teaching. So many great things about the app, but I’m giving it a 2 star since it’s most important function is not serving the students across the board. One person getting kicked out is too many, and alternative options and instructions should be offered to those like myself, having this issue so that our kids can have optimal learning through listening.
leashalou80,
Let’s Play Music app
So exited for this app and for the playlists and the potential it will have for teachers and students. So far it has worked great and has so many functions. I would love a way to register students and to do all students on one submission rather than each child at a time.
Sennyoko,
Could be better
I’d like to be able to directly download the songs. The app doesn’t connect well with my car, which is the primary place we listen to songs. It doesn’t override any other music playing, so both things play at the same time. And because it doesn’t connect well with my car, the song names don’t show up on the screen, which is frustrating for my kids. They love knowing the names. Also, you can play one song or all the songs, but there isn’t an option to disable certain songs or make playlists. For example, I’d like to disable on the Christmas songs right now. I also make playlists of each week’s songs. Overall, I am disappointed with this app so far.
Mm5t,
Crashes constantly
I’m so frustrated with this app! It crashes constantly. Today we were trying to listen to a song with my 3 year old and it crashed twice during that one song, having to restart the app each time. I gave up and didn’t even finish the song.

I love the LPM program and I love the idea of the app, but it needs to be fixed. It’s especially frustrating that I had to pay $14 for the digital album, which can only be used on this app, which doesn’t work. They should at least have also included the CD if they hadn’t worked out the bugs yet.

It seems like most of these reviews are from LPM teachers. I’m guessing they were incentivized to leave a good review. The app as it is right now does not deserve such a high score. Very disappointing.
AccaliaH,
Needs better interfacing with car audio
Very convenient app for accessing LPM music, but it’s very “clunky” when it comes to playing music over your car speakers. The app doesn’t register in the screen and if you adjust the volume at all you end up with both the LPM app AND another audio app playing at the same time. Very very frustrating that makes for unsafe distracted driving. We usually don’t use the app in the car unless there’s another adult in the front who can manage all the back and forth of quitting the app and re-opening after it freezes because the car turned on another music app. This is the only app it happens on.
InItForTheBoards,
So glitchy
I really want to love this app! I love having access to the songs so that we can play them all the time and get good practice in, however I cannot get through even one song without the app force quitting. Yes I have tried fully logging out and logging back in. I have “deleted” and re-downloaded the albums. I have tried opening it and then running my phone with no WiFi on airplane mode (so that there isn’t background refresh issues…this actually seemed to help the most.) I would rather have a physical CD or the ability to download mp3s. This is ridiculous.
Gooliagirl,
Can’t play in car
So annoying to use in the car. Can’t use the card buttons on starting wheel to scroll through songs so I have to pick up my phone to start Every song so we end up not listening as much. If it wasn’t for the ability to download the albums to iTunes we wouldn’t be able to listen on the go at all. It would be nice if we could do playlists too so we could practice the homework songs each week.
Kayseejo3,
Could use improvement
It’s difficult to transition from the CD to the app. I miss the CD! We’d listen to it over and over and it would pick up right where we left off. We’d enjoy the car rides! The app doesn’t allow for this bc the music lives on the phone. Perhaps if we installed on a tablet at home? But we’re just not there yet. I appreciate the hands free access from the CD. The app cannot run while I’m in a call which can be frustrating for the kids as well. I see the benefits but further development is needed. Thank you
Spaigette,
Exactly what was needed!
This has been a life saver both as a teacher and a parent! As a parent it is easy to access all your music from the curriculum(s) your child(ren) are enrolled in. You can listen anywhere, anytime without the hassle of downloads or CD players. As a teacher it’s al right there ready to go for classes.
