Description

Lift Log is the simplest and easiest to use app to track your workouts.

From the Developer:
I built Lift Log because I was displeased with all the other workout tracking apps on the App Store. Other apps made me input my routine before using the app, create workouts before recording data, and more annoying tasks that forced me to focus on the app more than on my workout. Lift Log is different. Log your sets easily and effortlessly, usually with only two taps. Reference graphs to track your progress over time. Add workouts on the fly, no need to configure anything just start lifting and start logging. Download the app and give it a try, I’m sure you’ll be happy your did.

Lift Log is built for both beginners and experts, Lift Log provides everything you need to track your progress and get stronger. Its simple and intuitive design allows you to effortlessly record your workouts as quickly as possible, so you can focus on getting in those extra reps.

Features:
- Minimalist interface, simpler than any other fitness app on the App Store
- Type in any routine and Lift Log remembers it and starts tracking it forever
- Graphs show your progress over time

Subscription Details:

A $7.99 monthly or $59.99 annual subscription is required to access all that Lift Log has to offer.

Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. HUGE updates are just around the corner!

Lift Log is easier to use than pen and paper. No setup is required — just download the app and log as you lift. Lift Log's simple filtering system allows you track your progress over time and keeps you informed. Lift Log is smart. By remembering the last exercise you performed it automatically fills in the same reps and weight as last time, allowing you to log quicker and focus on your lifts. Lift Log's simplicity keeps you off your phone so you can pump iron distraction free. If this update, we improved on Lift Log's ease of use. We also added the following:

* Removed the requirement to create an account
* iPhoneX support (long overdo)
* Icon redesign
* Dark Mode
* Added a subscription plan
* Export data for non-paying users
* Free 24/7 fitness coach via live chat

1. The charts section is back! Tap on Stats to track progress
2. Tap the repeat button next to a day's title to repeat that schedule today. Works kind of like a template
3. Forget to log yesterday? Postdate new sets by tapping the date while adding a set

Aksetix,
Useful but could use a couple improvements
I’ve been using this app for several months now. It’s very simple and easy to use. It does a fantastic job performing as a digital note pad. I do pay for the subscription and hope that one day some of the improvements will be added.
First, I do not know what regulates the date and time in this app. If I work out in the morning, and do a second work out in the evening, my evening work out will count as tomorrows work out. So then when I log my work out the following morning, it is listed as the same day as the evening before. This clutters my log and is inaccurate. Would like to see a way to change the date of each work out.
Second, this one is less important as the first. A share feature for the daily logged workout would be beneficial for anyone who shares their work with a coach. Screen shots work fine until you put in a high volume day. Multiple screen shots to capture the entire day is annoying.
Overall, it’s a solid app, if either of these changes happen I think the app would be nearly perfect. I am happy enough with the app and will continue to use it.
Kbonezodelicious,
Great customer service and a solid, easy to use interface
Edit: the creator rolled out a subscription requirement that I objected to (I wasn’t a huge fan of the way he rolled it out). Jake, the creator, answered my complaints directly and immediately, in a way that i really appreciated. Seems like the app is run by one guy who is really striving to do right by his customers. After he addressed my issues I couldn’t be happier, and I’m back to wholeheartedly recommending the app. It’s very intuitive, and provides just the right amount of functionality. I have been frustrated with how many useless features other workout logs have (honestly, I don’t need videos of what a bicep curl looks like- I just want to be able to log what I do at the gym), so having a stripped down but functional option has been great.

The app is incredibly easy to use. No unnecessary bells and whistles, which is exactly what I was looking for. And Jake (the developer) is incredible. I had a few suggestions, so I emailed them through the feedback option on the app. He got back to me with tips and great feedback within 20 minutes. Literally the best customer service I've ever gotten from an app. I can't recommend this app enough.
alaynamarie93,
I loved this app
I really loved this app and had just been using it a couple weeks. I was in the middle of my workout and logging things as I go and I got the subscription pop up. I’m fine with the creator wanting to do subscriptions and totally understand it but the way it was rolled out bothered me. I didn’t have a warning so if I didn’t pay for the subscription my data would’ve been gone, as far as I’m aware. So I purchased the $7.99 subscription but I’ll be cancelling because I just can’t budget almost $10/month for a log. I really understand moving to subscriptions but I was irritated that I had no warning and I didn’t want to lose my logs.
thighranosaur,
Not worth an expensive subscription
I just started using this app a few weeks ago and enjoyed the simplicity of the design. It's a step above a note taking app in that I could select which exercise I was doing and replicate sets with a single click. It was a little bare-bones and I wasn't quite sure it would work for what I need for long term data collection, but I wanted to give it a shot for a couple months to see. Then, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of working out, between one set and the next, I got hit with a paywall asking for a monthly subscription. Literally between one set and the next! No way to put of subscribing. No way to log my set. No way to see my previous set. No way to view any of my data. No way to export what I already put in. No warning this would happen.

It would be one thing if this app had specified it had in-app purchases when I downloaded it, or if I had been notified this was going to happen, or if there had been a single initial fee, or even a reasonable monthly fee (like a dollar or two). But none of that was the case.

Like I said, this app is just a step above a note taking app. It's not worth the monthly cost. On top of that, just on principle, I refuse to support an app that takes its user's data hostage.

Simple and Clean Design
If you are looking for an easy to use app to log your workouts, look no further. I’ve tried many of the workout tracking apps on the store and they are overly complicated with too many useless features while not being good enough in the features that matter. This app gives you the simplicity of paper and pen logging in a clean, quick interface.

This app completely replaced my pen and paper and I now use this to log my lifts. It enables me to add my own exercises and name them whatever I want and provides an extremely simple and intuitive interface for adding the weight and repetitions for each set. There is no clutter and I am able to log each set within a matter of seconds. And that’s exactly what a logging app should be - no B.S. - just log my set and get back to work.

Another feature I appreciate besides the logging is the progress tracker. For any of your exercises you can see a chart that displays your progress on that particular exercise in a clean, easy to understand format. I like looking back on some of my lifts (bench, deadlift, etc.) to see how much progress I made in a visual format. It motivates me even more to keep progressing.

I recommend this app to anyone serious about logging and tracking each and every set. Five stars well deserved.
Shae Monster,
Wasn’t perfect when the data was it free and now you’re holding my data hostage
As a oly weightlifter AND an IT professional, I’m incredibly angry about this transition to the subscription service without warning and without the option to export my data before the change.

When the app was free, it wasn’t perfect but it did the job to help me track my practice lifts and my heavy set(s) for the day. But, I couldn’t mark if I was doing 3x5 or 5x3 or 1x5... but for free (or even $0.99) I could live with it.

Now, without warning, you changed it to an expensive subscription service (I’m sorry but this isn’t worth $8/mo without serious development upgrades) without giving me the choice to pull my data out beforehand! That’s not how good development works - you let people know the change is coming and give them a small window to remove their data (in my case, 2 years worth) and then turn this subscription feature on. You are basically holding my data hostage (that is, until you figure out how to export it to me). This is poor development and TERRIBLE customer service.
ktowashi,
Great basic app
I was looking desperately for an app to track my lifts, show my progress, and be easy to use (search for lifts etc). I tried about 10 before I settled on this one! I have been so pleased with the simple interface and easy to search function. I like that it can track whatever you want, so I’m able to compare what weights I used in for different sets and reps. This is useful for CrossFit and powerlifting. Recently the creator added a subscription rate which does seem a little steep for the function, but he is easy to talk with and understands our concerns. I’m hoping to see more improvements and a better pricing structure soon, but the app itself is awesome!
iamdiserpiero,
A Forced Subscription?
It would have been better to charge a one-time fee to access all the benefits of the app. Rather than pushing an update and users are now forced to lose data or wait for an update to export data or better yet force an update for a subscription to keep your data right away. Very smart way to lose people to other apps on the App Store. I wouldn’t tell people about graduating college and then swindling a subscription in order for people to save their data. It’s an obvious tactic as you must know your users have years of data stored on the app. The best solution would be to offer a one time purchase. And a monthly subscription for storing data should offer more benefits than what your offering. I will download another app until there is an export feature of this app to save my years of data.
MSC.LA,
Simple But Just Right Lifting Log!!!
This is the perfect lifting log for anyone wanting to easily track workout sessions, reps and weight. Nothing complicated to worry about with no extra steps other than just documenting what you are lifting, how many reps and weight used with the idea of being able to track progress and improvements over time. Quick and easy and keeps you lifting versus wasting time on your phone. It has a cool download function so you can put your workouts into a spreadsheet and see your improvements but also a new chart/graph function in the updated version. Perfect lifting app. Nothing else needed.
Hugh Janus27,
Money hungry, do not download
Do not download if you are looking for a free fitness log app. It does not display that it requires in-app purchases so you’d assume that it is free. I have been using it for about 4-5 days with no issue. However, after using the app and filling up a page you receive a message that will not go away to subscribe to the service in order to support the developer. If it would have been displayed from the beginning I would not have wasted my time and would still have my metrics but now it’s lost because I deleted the app. The app is easy to use but for the price of the service you may as we just buy a journal or use notes on your phone. The price of the service is not the issue, it is just the principle that it should have been displayed from the beginning there would be a fee
