I was a huge fan of the original game when released on Nintendo's Wii console. I loved its creepy atmosphere with third person flashlight controls. The problem with making this a swipe-to-move is it takes away all fear of the dark. You can't even swipe your character into the darkness which removes all fear of needing to light the way. It's still clever and still fun, but changing it from third person to a top down game loses some of the originality of the WiiWare title.
S Rank,
NES difficulty
I read many reviews on how hard this game is and that perhaps a tutorial would be helpful, that the goal times are unreasonable. I'm playing on an iPhone 4S, and have limited screen to see the tools on the bottom but I figured it out. The game is intuitive and exploration is key. This is a strategic game and the goal times are the most efficient routes taken. Needing a tutorial? These players are latest-gen. kids that are are used to having things handed to them. Play the game and figure it out and stop attempting the same strategy over-and-over again. It will get you your regular solve-time but try other things.
VideogamekingZ,
Pleasantly Surprised
As a fan of the Wiiware title, I was shocked to find out that there was an iOS version almost 7 years later. The cartoony feel was a bit off putting at first because part of LIT's appeal to me was the visuals. But this game stays true to the original by having the same old soundtrack, sound effects, and characters I know and love. If you liked the original, this is a great and faithful recreation for iOS! (As long as you don't mind the art style)
SupersonicRainboom,
Great game, could be better.
This game is really nice and has a cute art style, but there are some issues. First, the swipe to move doesn’t work well on tablets, and the slingshot can sometimes take multiple taps to actually hit. Which is super annoying when trying to get the target goal times.
Could really use something like a virtual D-pad or analog stick.
Creaky pancake,
Hard to navigate
Seems like a sweet little game, but it's difficult to move the character around. Even when I drag him over to a square it seems like there's a lag. I'll have to drag twice. It feels unintuitive. If you care about scoring well in the game, your steps are counted and this lag can be very frustrating.
Babyhippo123,
Fun quick game
Most of the low star review complaints are about the high difficulty. I'll admit that it is a challenging game and if that's not what you want this game is not for you. However, this game is creative rewarding and engaging. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a challenge.
Kelela2,
Fun, but the controls are poor
This seemed like a fun game, but the controls are not sensitive enough... no good way to be sure you can stop the character on the square you need, and sometimes impossible to get him when he is standing behind something without taking extra steps in the wrong direction. After walking into a monster three times in a row with just barely a tap, I gave up. Very disappointing, this would have been a fun game if it worked better.
KayleneEason,
Fun but frustrating
I do enjoy this game, HOWEVER, the goal times are unreasonable. Half of the time the character doesn't move when you ask, or you'll tap on a window 15 times before he actually shoots the pebble to break it. I made goal time on like the first 3 levels. After that it was hopeless.
Jefrado,
Great...until this happened...
Loved the game but all of a sudden on floor 114 the monster would not burn up so I couldn't continue. So I removed it. Reloaded and on floor 104, again the monster wouldn't chase me or burn up not letting me go any further so I deleted it again. Too bad, really enjoyed it
Ashwin warrier,
Needs A manual for starter
It would be good if you can add an option for manual or a quick discription of how to play the game. Either i am not able to figure it out how to play or my phone has got problem.
Sad that i wil have to delete it now!
