Kimberlie Dub,
Love it
I got this for my preschooler and he loves it. He always asks me to play his letter game. This app is awesome and I recommend it
Jayweeka,
C u s t o m I z e --- YES! 👍
Truly created by developers after my own heart. E V E R Y app by these love able geniuses is SO fully customizable, and beyond adding your own 'stuff' you can turn on or off category options at any time. You can even record your own praise words for correct answers. What I like very much about this app is the ability to isolate the category to 'letter sounds' and then decide how many options will be displayed. For ex. I choose to have only a field of two display because my daughter has Down syndrome, and while we are beginning work on letter sounds, a field of two choices is just right. So, the upper case letter is on one side and it's lower case match is on the other side. If you tap EITHER one you hear the sound. Object is to drag the matching letter from the left to the empty box next to the letter on the right side of the screen. Love it. Love almost ALL their apps. Check them out. 😀
Bubble Mama,
Great phonics app!
You are able to record your voice for the encouragement, when a match is made correctly. My daughter's smile is so precious to see, when she hears my voice on the iPad, telling her Good Job, Sweetheart! The sounds are good. The game advances the chat challenge, as more are answered correctly. Excellent for pre-reading. May I suggest an app that puts words together by sound? It would be an excellent progression for phonics reading.
TransposeMe,
Great except for Animal add-on
I love how this includes letter names and sounds and mixes them up! The only thing I think could've been done better was the animal sounds add-on. There are consonant blends instead of pure sounds (like "snail" instead of a word like "sand"). So in the next update it would be great if they switched from strictly animal sounds to example words with pictures that were pure examples of the sound (watch out for "bossy r" sounds like ar, er, ir, or, and ur). Other than that, the student that I got this for can't put this down and constantly wants to play it!
Tri21Mommy,
Great
I really like this for my son with fine motor challenges. We started with just one item max so he could get used to dragging items and understand how it works. It's really the first app he got real success with. Now we can build on that success and make it more challenging. Thanks
Mdeann,
Love It!!
I use this app with my kindergarten students. They love and so do I! The options of adjusting which hints use is great. The only suggestion I have is to allow for making our own lists of letters to use as certain letters are introduced at specific times. :)
SLPNTR,
Good!
My students like this app, but a couple of my students got confused when they got to the higher levels where the letters are in the center and they tried to move the wrong letters. Otherwise, it would be 5 stars.
Ipadpapa,
More harm than good!
This app is horribly done.... The audio is buggy, overlaps, cuts off, repeats... And can create a quite scary - but at least confusing-- experience for a young child. The graphics are also not very lovingly crafted, its very barebones and dull. Kids of that age need engaging, recognizable, abstract patterns and objects.

Why then have a thousand settings???? It's total nonsense. A good game knows when to increase difficulty, and does not need parents to tweak every little aspect.

Stay away from this one. It probably does more harm than good to your little loved one.
S L Path,
I would have to customize the whole app.
There are some interesting graphic choices in this app: some multi-colored letters, some photographs, some drawings - this is so distracting to users and difficult for young children
( the ones I am assuming this app is designed for). Also, not sure if they added a play button to match to the letter j for a reason- but when pressed no video plays. Not sure if that is an error or if it has a purpose. All and all, not sure it has a lot of functional uses.
msg2be,
My 2 year old loves this!
I downloaded this app and put it in a folder because I didn't think my 2 year old was ready, but he found it and has been using it and really understands letters better. I love that it has upper and lower case.
