CJ Lydon,
Awesome game, a couple small problems
I highly recommend this game if you’re a fan of the lunar lander game mechanic.

Pros: good physics, plot is a nice touch, different vehicles, affordable price.

Cons: pacing can be slow. I’d like to see the Astronauts move faster or give me the option to skip it. The dialogue is also slow to get rid of when you just want to restart a level.

Bug: occasionally, you may enter a landing area, and the dialogue box pops up before you’ve landed, which disables the controls, causing you to crash. Sometimes the mystery astronauts run away from the vehicle.

Suggestion: if these are the Galilean moons, why not show Jupiter in the sky instead of a random blue haze?
Stevo3985,
GREAT GAME 🚀🛸
Ignore the review about the “terrible” controls. This is how the actual REAL LIFE physics of LEMs work. I am a big nerd for physics simulators (KSP, Simple Rockets, Space Simulator, etc.) and immediately downloaded this game (glad that there is a test run in the form of the ‘lite’ version). I quickly became familiar with the concept, and I LOVE the challenge of the realistic physics, and having to balance main descent thrust to fight gravity, and also use the RCS to counteract the rotation to land safely.

The only criticism I can offer is that, I too, feel that the dialogue can be slow moving, and it would be nice to have the option to skip it on retries. I also like the idea of re-fueling stations, on the surface (perhaps 1 station per level, and maybe a trade off between refueling, and stars achieved, for more of a challenge?). I hope that the dev will make a larger sequel that incorporates more vehicles, and also the concept of atmospheric exit and re-entry, so that the player will have the varied experience of atmospheric drag vs. the vacuum of a typical lunar body, that is the main concept, in this game.

To the dev - keep up the great work, and I will certainly buy more of your apps! This game is an 11 on a scale of 1-10, as far as I am concerned. Thanks for giving me something to do during pandemic isolation! ❤️
Fanatic3,
Fun but nearly impossible
PRO: Fun little game, realistic physics using lunar gravity and space vacuum, dialogue adds a nice taste, no ads, affordable if you purchase the additional levels, able to drive different vehicles, hours of fun.

CONS (mostly suggestions, still a fun game): Dialogues and controls should appear near sides of the screen for easy thumb use...rather than the middle of the screen, makes it harder on an ipad horizontal screen. Missions are near impossible to get 3 stars with multiple secret people to find and no fuel fill-ups. Radar range is too short and still doesn’t project all the solid areas until you’re near...annoying, especially when it makes you believe there is an opening.
...the Mole,
Fun app to learn to navigate in space
This is a great app with realistic controls. Levels get progressively harder as you would expect. Some of the game play is tedious waiting for the space men to enter the lander; needs a skip.

Bug: occasionally when entering a landing zone, the green controls disappear and then my lander crashes. Affects both mother ship and lander. Please fix. Thank you.

Confused
I’ve been playing for a couple days now and finally got the hang of flight, however, I can’t get 3 stars ever. I complete each mission without crashing or resetting but it keeps saying I’m not picking up ppl? I’m confused. I stop at each site as the radar indicates and everyone in the little buildings comes out and get on the LEM. It still says I have zero ppl picked. No idea why. Any suggestions????
Foulocks,
Lunar Rescue Mission Lite
I really like the realistic flight and the level of difficulty is just right. However there are absolutely no instructions without which it’s impossible to know what to do to advance the game. I got through levels one and two but it won’t let me go on. I paid for the “Sandbox” but other than being able to move various pieces of equipment there seems to be no objective. This would be a 4- or even 5-star game if it just had some instructions.
Rumspringer000,
IO Level 6
Please fix bug that causes Module to break when it’s just sitting on the transporter during flight. You can’t get 3 stars on this level due to this issue and there is no way to fly the transporter that doesn’t result in the lander spontaneously breaking. I’ve achieved 3 stars on every level in this game so I know how to fly properly and yet this level can’t be done. Can only achieve 3 stars due to this issue.
skram8,
Great Game
While I agree with others that say the game needs instructions and that it is difficult, these drawbacks do not detract from the basic fact that this is an awesome game. It’s not about flashing lights and noise, but is simple, ad-free fun as you learn how to control your ships, rescue people, and return safely.
Stilik,
Best Moon Lander I’ve Played
This game is really well design and fun to play. It also has a bit of dialogue which makes missions a bit more interesting. My only issues are there’s no full size map so you may get lost and the rover physics is crazy unrealistic. Overall I’d say this game is totally worth $2!!
Strangeling21,
Terrible controls
They swap left and right rotation on purpose to make it more difficult. No option to reverse it. Firing main thrusters is 2 buttons that must be pressed together. These also control rotation. Sometimes you fire your RCS before the main fires. This causes you lander to tilt constantly. When you try to recover the rotation controls are backwards. Deeply annoyed I paid $2 for this terrible game.
