Good game but...
Now I enjoy this game as the survival side of it is fun and there is difficulty in surviving, I found myself dying quickly the first time I played and watched videos on how to get food. The thing is, it’s just kinda boring after awhile of playing the game and note I never bought the biomes but just the main place is very repetitive if you’ve played it enough times. And I think that adding a reward system or a achievement system would be cool, like if you make everything you can for one biome you maybe might half unlock the next place, and to fully unlock the next place you might have to survive for 4-6 years or something like that. But you could still leave in the biome money thing and still make money. But that’s just my thoughts and opinions so thank you and have a good day!
SpaceCat30,
Meh
This game was fun at first, I bought the pack and played it for a while. There’s a lot of problems with this game too though. First, survival games are supposed to be about exploration and finding food and water and stuff like that. This game has no point in exploration, you can walk upwards for hours and see nothing but trees and bushes, not even a hill! Secondly, you have no health. The bear can literally attack you and you don’t even die. You just have a negative effect on you for a few days. I mean, c’mon. Thirdly, you can’t craft ammo. You can make wimpy arrows for the bow, but not bullets. So essentially you get a gun but you can only shoot it for a certain number of times. The energy part of this game is stupid. Whenever you walk for a while or chop down a tree or fish or something like that you lose energy. Once you’re completely out, you magically appear back at your cabin and go to sleep. You can also gain energy back by eating energy bars. You get a few of those at your initial spawn, but you can only gain more by watching ads. It’s just dumb. Plus the devs kinda gave up on this game ‘cause the haven’t updated it in a long time. I’m sorry that I spent this whole review criticizing this game, but it seriously needs some work.
Starman82,
Needs a lot more substance
I haven’t played a lot of the game I don’t think, but enough to get through winter. There should be a way to discover crafting recipes so you don’t have to feel like you’ve cheated by looking online. The map is very very drab. The same kind of landscape with varying patterns. Nothing beyond what you see walking around your cabin. I really wanted to like this game and I kind of do, I guess I just haven’t really discovered what it takes to take off in the game. I bought the biome pack. I didn’t notice any difference in game play. Seems like you’ve got a good infrastructure there just needs to be more to do, because right now I see two different plants, trees of a few visual variety but do the same thing. 5 or so different animals, a clunky crafting system and very clunky controls on iOS. It just isn’t much. I’ll try the other biomes if I can but I probably won’t be playing much more of this title. I would if there were suggestions or hints. But I really don’t have anything to go on. I thought what would be a thing to do in real life in this situation? The landscape never ends and there are no points of interest….Good Luck!!
SunnySideEggs,
Needs more work
The game it's self is good, the execution is fine, the gameplay is also fine as long as you have wifi or data to google crafting recipes, but I have one problem with the game, The Map Pack, not only are you told that "you can travel to 3 there biomes" but you're never told you have to purchase that but, also I don't even know if you have to purchase it because when I press YES! to say I want the map pack, nothing happens, then I wait, then I wait some more, then I think "Oh! I have to hold down yes!" So then I hold it down... and wait..... and wait........ and wait for at least ten minutes until I have had enough, I feel as if I should give only one star because the game without other biomes and with wifi can be completed in about 5 or 10 minutes! Now there is a chance that I will use my money and purchase on my on own on steam but before I will check for extra purchases and if the stupid map pack exists there too, you should also know I waited longer holding the yes button then I did writing and correcting this review?
38374$38,
Didn’t know “on my own” meant no basic guidance
To have it so people have to pay for the full game is kind of absurd but even then what is more weird is that people who are playing the game without actually getting the “full game” have to deal with the map being boring, not having the ability to know any craft recipes so you don’t have the chance to even survive through winter and it obviously gets repetitive and dumb after a while of the same thing of it just not giving you a chance to even survive. It basically just throws you into the game and you have to figure it out all on your own, it does give you a not basic tutorial on how to use items but that’s about it. If it had more of a chance to survive and help then I’m sure more people would stay on or even give the “full game a chance” if the free version is not even a little bit good then the bought “version” won’t be either.
Shadowaspyn,
Great Game, but some issues.
Ao, this is an amazing game. The art is phenomenal, the music and gameplay is good if you are just trying to play a fun, relaxing survival game. But, there are some issues with storage, crafting, and lag. When I go to craft something, fifty percent of the time, it closes the crafting menu, so I have to drop the item, and pick it back up. I would suggest being able to either build storage, or be able to use those boxes you find to store some things in, by dragging the back to camp, or just putting things in them. I also suggest being able to build small boxes, with like, twenty logs. There is also a lot of lag, in game, and loading it, and saving it. Fixing that would help a bunch. Other than that, great game!
Atm256,
Fun game. Discovering is part of the journey!
Fun low stress survival game. It’s nice that many tools don’t break so less stress around that. Figuring out the recipes is most of the fun. Once you look them up it gets a bit boring. The game is fun for an hour or two before a pay wall for the more challenging levels. Not sure if it’s worth it as it doesn’t seem like much else equipment it unlocked in later levels. This game has potential but does not appear to offer enough to pay for.

The only thing the game needs is an option to select only some of an item. I keep dumping all my wood supply to the fire! There also needs to be a chest you can make. My inventory is all so full.
King Rad of Rock Town,
Interesting but boring
Great concept. The tutorials stop after you make bait traps. Nobody wants to play the guessing game for a indie game. I was trying to give benefit of the doubt. I love survival and crafting games but the short time frame to gather supplies, the energy gets depleted too fast. Please implement some upgrades to character development, weapons and cabins. This could be a great game. I’d prefer it not get into zombies and such. Please make that stuff an add-on because everyone is doing that and I’d prefer a game that kept it real.

Some of the ads are a bit buggy too. I had to completely reset. Upgradeable crates are a necessary in the very beginning. Great game. Please add a multiplayer too. Team building and clans help a game grow.

I’ll will remove my game for now. But I will download a few months from now and hope there is progress. Till then, Safe Travels!!!
Bayard271,
Easy play through, nice and straightforward fun
Loved playing through this game, there are definitely a few bugs but none make the game unplayable. One I found was if your inventory is full and you eat from a building storage, the food is deleted (I lost 20 big game meat this way,) another is if you craft an item and then move it into an equipment slot that already has an item, the newly crafted item is deleted (new deerskin jacket in for arrows, jacket is deleted.) Other than these two, the game runs smoothly and is a really fun play through.
RLeighA,
I want to love this game
I really do. I love the concept, i love the style, i love the open world, but i hate hate HATE the execution. In a game like this, execution is key, and this game falls flat.

The game starts off relatively simple: complete small quests to learn a little about the game. However, as soon as those few quests are done, it leaves you in a world full of recipes and survival needs, yet fails to explain any of it. I've killed and processed this rabbit, but how do i cook it? Do i put it on a stick? Do i have to make a spit? Oh, i just walk to the fire and throw it in...ok, whatever, that makes sense. Ok, now...how do i eat it? How do i make a blanket out of fur? How do i- oh wait, i moved a trap and now i can't move it again.

And this is just the beginning. There are no hints, no recipe book (that i know of), the way things are moved is awkward, and there is far too little inventory space. I understand that it's supposed to be semi-realistic, but with all of the things we need to gather and craft, it becomes far more of a hinderance than it needs to be.

Stylistic rating: 4/5
Interface rating: 3/5
Execution rating: 1/5
Overall rating: 2 dead bunnies out of 5
