Description

If you are anything like me, eating on a ketogenic or low carb diet means I'm not scanning the barcodes of processed foods very often. Instead, I'm making and eating a limited number of fresh and healthy meals/snacks on a repeat basis.

I made this app because I just wanted a simple way to quickly input my own custom foods (an area that is severely lacking in other free apps). And I wanted to be able to re-use those foods as they were or to modify the "serving" amount.

Instead of wondering whether this is a small, medium or large apple/tomato/etc., I can add the nutrition of a tomato at 100 grams. Then I weigh a tomato of any size, select my previously input tomato, and change the serving size to match the weight of this tomato. The macro / calorie information updates automatically.

I hope you find this app helpful in achieving your goals!

fitbusyworkingmom,
The PERFECT Daily Macros Tracker
All I wanted was a way to keep track of macros counting daily without adds or an additional subscription to other services… I just wanted a Home Screen with my macros tally and what remained and this is PERFECT for that! It is simple and straightforward and not info overload like I felt with some of the other apps. I appreciate how the food log keeps track of the manually entered macros for the meals as I prepare most from scratch and then repeat every two weeks or so.
Thank you for making it so easy and user friendly!
One suggestion: it would be nice to have a way to edit the entries in the food log without having to reset.
Jradical17,
Finally something usable
Forget all the other Marco trackers on here. Although some do have functionality, MOST then are subscription based, and aren’t very usable or practical for the real world. All I wanted was an app that tracks macros, and calories. No BS ads, no subscriptions, no plans or feature restrictions. Seriously. This developer is basically just doing this out of the goodness of his/her heart, and for that I thank you. It’s pretty simple to use, it took me about 5 minutes to get the hang of it. It could probably be polished up a little on the appearance side of things, but again, for real world use you aren’t spending loads of time in this app anyway. Makes it easy to quickly enter what you’re eating (it can save foods that you input) and you can be on your way. I guess I should note that there are no “pre entered” foods or ingredients. You have to do all of that work yourself, but honestly after a week of use you’ll probably have everything you need for the most part.
MacGraphics,
Almost perfect minimalist keto
I love the simplicity of this app. I’m glad it doesn’t have any extra, unnecessary weight that the other apps have. However, it desperately needs one fix...

The majority of keto dieters use net carbs. This app cannot do net carbs. There is really only one way to do this while maintaining the simplicity of the app...

Allow the user to manually adjust calories instead of auto-calculating so that the user can enter NET carbs in the carbs slider and then compensate (fix) the calories that come up short as a result.

It may seem like the better option would be to allow the user to choose if they want to count net carbs in the settings, and then give them a fiber slider if the feature is turned on. But that wouldn’t work because you would also have to account for sugar alcohols, and then different sugar alcohols behave differently when calculating net carbs. It would be a mess. So in my mind, this is not an option.

So really, the best, cleanest solution would be to allow manual adjustments of calories. Give us a toggle switch to turn on or off manual calorie adjustments. Simple and just as clean as it is currently.

This one little feature is making me question using the app as I currently have to ignore the calories completely and only enter net carbs in the carb slider. I have to use the macro goals ONLY, to know if I’m on track. Calories will always be lower than actual.

Please fix this one little thing and your app will be perfect!

Amazing App
This app is amazing. It’s simple to use, I do wish I could type in numbers, rather than sliders but it’s easy. I had hoped it had a database of foods, but the nice thing is it doesn’t. There is a database, but it’s empty. What makes this the best part about the app is that it only databases foods you eat. This makes it a very personalized experience and a way to track your eating habits.

Timothy, thanks for making this app.
PlzPassTheBacon,
Fairly easy to use
I appreciate being able to set my own macro goals, but I would like to be able to input recipes without having to first input it into an online nutrition calculator. Also, perhaps a database of foods would be more helpful so I don’t have to look up the nutrition facts of each food every time I eat.

It’s basic, and does what it’s supposed to do. I just prefer a bit more help in the adding foods department. I will be deleting the app and searching for something else that better fits my ideals.
DragonflyMoon,
It’s not even formatted right for iPhone
This app isn’t formatted right and doesn’t work on Apple products. I don’t know how it might work on other devices, but nothing fits the screen right and it’s glitchy. I would love to say positive things about it, but I didn’t g set to use it at all because of this, so I can’t. This is why they got three stars, but I can’t fairly give them a bad rating, but I can’t rate them well either. That’s the best I can do. Please fix this. If you do, I will try again and edit/change my rating. Thanks.
LuckyNickelShop,
Free, easy to use
Got really tired of every macro tracker wanting me to buy a subscription. I’m just a fat dude trying to lose some weight and this app is bare bones what I needed. Simply type in the nutritional information for every meal and snack, and it will keep track of it in a way that’s easy to view and understand.
Jacqwhee,
Simple, easy, free, no nonsense
I pair my use of this app with another very simple one that tells me nutrition facts for literally any food. This app has no signup or subscription, no goal weight, no exercise reminders. No nonsense. A simple tool for people who want to count. That’s it.

Rated 4 vs 5 because the sliders are a bit touchy to use. Have a text box or just make the + and - fixed on screen, problem solved
Old Man Umby,
No Edit Functionality!!
At first it seems like a great app until you dive into using it.

First off, duplicating the macros and the calories as they appear on a product label cannot always be done. There's more to calories in a product than simply the math based upon the macros. Calorie need to be entered or edited separately from the macros in order to duplicate product labels accurately.

Also, there's no way to edit food once entered into the day, you have to reset the whole day and start over; frankly that's just ridiculous and a sign of a poorly developed app.
pg8387,
Love this!
I would have given it 5 stars, but one thing is lacking in my mind-the ability to delete or edit a food saved. I keep making typos or enter wrong amount of servings and can’t see where I can delete those entries. Otherwise exactly what I need to count my macros without all the “stuff” that makes other apps to difficult to use! Thank you for this!!
