Meal is not a diet, it is changing lives.
I started Meal a little over a month ago and I can honestly say it is so much more than I expected. I am 65, and had rotator cuff surgery a week or so prior to starting Meal because I wanted to get fit, lose weight and get ready for retirement. I have done many diets in my life and the only ones that actually ever worked were the total fasting ones. I lost the weight and did it really quickly, problem is I could not sustain it because you have to go back to eating food and those diets never taught you how to eat real food with calories and fat and carb’s so the only thing that changed was the size of clothes I wore. Meal did not make me stop eating anything, no crazy restrictions and no starvation. Meal changed my life by introducing me to actual food and knowledge of what is different about the foods I eat and how I choose what I eat. You never walk away from a meal hungry nor do I go to bed hungry. I actually have lost weight, every day my scale changes. Meal is the best gift I have ever given myself. Again Meal is not a diet, it is a program that changes lives and allows you to live your best life because it gives you knowledge to succeed.

It is a miracle 👌👌👌how well this approach suits my nature. Scaffolded eating and fasting where your accountability to yourself is the only thing that matters. It feels a bit like winning a time-management game, and the pay-off is good health, energy, self-respect and pride. Good concept, terrible tech support
After paying $60 dollars for a subscription, I was expecting a top notch experience. The first problem happened when I bought the app. I had gone through the 7 day free trial and was about to delete the app cause didn’t think the cost was worth it. Then it said, if you keep the app we’ll only charge you $30 to subscribe. So I decided to take advantage of the discount…only it made me restart the journey from day , and when I updated my expired card on apple I saw that it charged me the full subscription fee! Already irritated reached out to tech support to see if they could put me on day 8 since I already did days 1-7…Mia is a robot…it doesn’t solve any problems, even if you give her a frowny face at the end of a session. Why ask us to rate customer support if you’re not going to do anything about it? Anywho…had to restart day 1-7, and it was fine till I got to day 36…it stayed stuck on that day for 2 days! So you’re telling me I paid all that money and am not getting the full benefit of my subscription? Reached out to MEAL tech support and lovely helpful Mia asked me to taje a screen shot…like that’s going to help anything. Haven’t heard from them since. If the app is not going to work, it’s nit worth your money. Wouldn’t you agree?

Content is good…when you get it
I actually really love the content and I feel like it is helping me. But I often go days without getting new content! It’s supposed to be new content daily, so I understand, but it will give me the same content for days and tell me it’s “completed” (so it knows I’ve already listened to them). I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the app several times and it doesn’t help. That’s not even the worst part-the worst part is that the customer service is terrible. The first time I reached out and said “I’m still in my free trial but I’m already having issues with the app. New content isn’t loading each day. I don’t want to pay for the subscription when the app clearly isn’t working.“ The response was “don’t worry about it, our app is glitchy right now but we’re working to fix it. I will let you know when it’s fixed.” Instead two days later my card was charged for the subscription anyway and now no one will respond to my messages on the app. I’ve messaged at least four times and no one has ever responded again. It’s so frustrating.

Content is great but app keeps getting stuck!
Let me say I love this app! The content in the videos has really helped me become more mindful of my choices and just overall food positivity. However I find myself getting frustrated with this app. I first signed up for a trial period. Made it to day 5 or 6 and then I decided to pay for app because I loved it. It got stuck for a few days so I had to “restore my purchase” and then it made me start over from day 1. Since you can only do one day at a time I had to wait 6 days to get to the new content.

Fast forward to now and I’ve been making progress each day until recently. I left one of the videos “unwatched” until the next day. The next day it was still there waiting so I watched it hoping it would mark me complete and move me to the next day. I’ve now been stuck on that same day for 4 days. I’ve tried contacting customer service and never get a response. I want to love this app but won’t continue paying for something that doesn’t work.

I have hesitated submitting a review in the hopes that the app would improve. However, after two attempts to get past day 47 with no new content in over a week, I can’t do it anymore. The complaints in the reviews are really all the same. New content stops after a certain point despite a reminder to log in every morning. Yet, when I log in, it shows that I completed the day’s content. Of course, I did, 7 days ago!! Looking at the “journey” tab, it looks like day 48 is next but locked and that screen doesn’t change from day to day. It’s really a shame for consumers as the content was good 90% of the time but the execution is horrific. And customer service -Mia - is a joke. Please, either don’t install this app, or be prepared for new content to stop after a certain point. For those contributors to the articles and videos on the app, I hope you will find another resource to deliver your content, and that your reputations are not ruined by being a part of this awful app.

Great idea, terribly execution
This feels like a rough draft that hasn’t been completed yet. I LOVE the content. But I’ve had this app for well over 3 months and should be close to day 100 by now but I’m only on day 48 because it keeps getting stuck on days for a week or more.
When this happened in the past, I was able to go to the contact us tab and talk to someone. Usually redownloaded and all of that and then it would be fixed after a few days. Now the help tab isn’t even available!
Seems like the developers did not have a complete product when this went live and so they keep stalling everyones progress.
Also, there are many videos being reused on different days. I really wish this was as good as it should be.

Disappointed - so much great potential!
I really love the content on this app- the first 2-3 weeks had some supportive, life-changing stuff (though I thought it was supposed to have some more functional features and it had some mildly annoying bugs that kept you from being able to scroll the day’s offerings). Now I have gone a week with almost no new content, no other functionality, and support told me vaguely that my account would be “fixed” in a few days, but I am not even sure what that means. I am hoping that this app works out its issues, but right now, the technology and communication/customer service problems do not make it worth the cost.

Good content but app function needs work
Sadly I think I will have to cancel the subscription because like others, I haven’t gotten new content for three days now. And was told in a couple of days it will be fixed. I think when this happens there needs to be incentive to push through these inconveniences like not charging you one time. It is great content. As well I was already getting repeated content. Also, as these “bugs” get fixed would be good to add a content library so you can go back to previous content especially the handouts. Good luck and I’ll keep an eye out if these issues get solved. Maybe I’ll resubscribe

Love the app
I’m still in trial of the app and really love the content.
I noticed a few other reviewers inquired about if there would be more features and contents added.
I am wondering the same thing. I really like the format and content but I would love the option to highlight/save videos and a place to review previous material. I’m hesitant to purchase the app because it seems the response for months has been features will be added but it doesn’t appear any have.
