Excellent

Extremely useful and versatile timer. Very programmable to suit almost any need. Simple and attractive as well. I tried a number of meditation timers before finding this one, and have now used it for many years. Approaching Enlightenment any day now! (Just kidding!)
My only suggestion for improvement: although the sounds (gongs, bells, etc.) are pretty good quality, they don’t die away progressively to complete silence. Should be easy enough to record actual bells etc. and record all the way to *complete* silence. I’d give 6 stars then.

A very good interval timer for a variety of purposes

A very configurable and flexible interval timer. I think of it as a reminder that I can set to get my attention at whatever time interval I chose. And instead of some gimmicky, or annoying noise it lets a soothing, therapeutic tone that makes me feel good everyone I hear it. I do wish that I could preview the tones (just by touching them in the configuration page); it would make creating a profile less troublesome for me. Also, if I create long interval sessions sometimes the tone will stop playing, or worse the app will lock up and stop working altogether. Having said that I've tried 6 other meditation/prayer apps and none of them came close to working as well for me as this one.

It works

For years I thought I was someone who “couldn’t” meditate even though I intellectually understood the many benefits of regular meditation. This app is simple, easy to use and it helped me develop a regular practice. That’s good! I still don’t understand how to change backgrounds but I like that the backgrounds change automatically every so often. I don’t have anything negative to say about - it’s worked for me. If your goal is to meditate regularly it would probably work for you too.

Used for years

Initially I selected it because it was free to try, and it had timed settings for 3 periods for Transcendental Meditation ( 30 sec, 2 min, 2 min). I like it so much, and they have kept updating it, so I finally decided that I should show appreciation and support by buying it, so thank-you!

The only change I would like to see is to enable screen rotation so background can go into landscape mode so I don’t have to look at the time sideways. Not enough of a bug to take off a star, but it would be nice.

Helps focus

Frustrated by the ads on the free version of this app, I went looking for another, and found this. I’m surprised it’s not offered as an upgrade. That said,I love the flexibility of configurations, and that we can set up multiple meditation times. The variety of sounds are lovely. Interval signals subtly remind me to focus (I’m a beginner struggling with monkey brain). It all enables me to not think about how long it’s been and whether it’s time, or almost time, to stop.

Does just what it says

This timer is so good. Rich sounds you can use to begin and end and add reminders to your meditation sessions. You can save your sessions and name them and share them across devices. I’ve used it for years and during that time they have diligently worked out the bugs and kept it up to date.

It just is—a fine support for your practice without demanding attention for itself.

Excellent for several types of meditations

This app is great if you do different types of meditations because you can store several different lengths and chimes, etc. I love it for Kundalini Yoga meditations as you can select the precise length of time you want. Other apps don't offer 11 minute or 31 minute meditations. This app can be customized to any length. I haven't had a freezing or other issues. Definitely recommend it.

Very useful app

This is currently, for my style, the most useful meditation app I tried. It feels streamlined without fluffy features, and it is easy to use. I like that I can create different length meditations and save them for quick recall. I also like the interval chime and preparation time features. My one complaint is that setting the app volume changes the device volume. I like a very low volume for the meditation bell sounds, but I'd prefer if setting it didn't also affect the volume of other apps and vice versa.

meditation timer

I love this app! I use it for 4 or 5 different meditations and yoga postures and really appreciate that I can very easily choose varied interval times, beginning, ending & interval sounds and have a record of every procedure I perform. I use this timer in a bi-monthly meditation group and the other participants love the Tibetan bell chime. I strongly recommend the pro version to eliminate unwanted advertisements.

Perfect for my needs!

This timer is simple and easy to use. It is very basic and if you just want gentle reminders about the passage of time as you meditate, you can set it up to let you know when you’re halfway through or have 5 minutes left or whatever you want.
